The best hotel in Athens ! In the heart of the city! Near from everything! Very polite people!!! The breakfast was very good and tasty with a lot of choices! Clean and beautiful rooms ❤️ I highly recommend it!

This is a good budget style hotel in the heart of Athens. Quick and easy to walk to all the main places of interest, bars, cafes and restaurants. The buffet style breakfast is adequate.. nothing special but a fair price. The staff are friendly and check in is usually quick and easy. Nice old fashioned lift. The rooms are small, clean and tidy.

Worst experience ever in my whole life. I have used to travel to different countries and stayed at many hotels but had never seen that bad quality and standard. First of all, rooms are very old very bad looking not clean , food is super bad and worst breakfast ever. Second the receptionist ‘Anna’ she is the worst person i had ever dealt with ever, very rude and racist in a direct way. First of all when i booked my stay we booked for 2 adults only as my kids wasn’t traveling with us, then when we arrived we informed another guy that we have the kid and he said it’s fine no problem. The next day that rude lady Anna, she said we need to pay breakfast for the kid , we told her that already the breakfast is very bad and even us won’t go for it , we will pay only the first day despite that the other guy said it’s fine. The whole stay she kept treating us in a very bad way IT ENDED up that she asked us BEFORE THE LAST DAY at 10 am to check out and leave the hotel and GO OUT look for another place. WE WERE LITERALLY SHOCKED!!! I had never witnessed this ever… am really disappointed on the level of standards we had been treated i would consider this as direct DISCRIMINATION AND HARASSMENT .. beside all of this and the low quality we perceived at that hotel.. i would definitely WONT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO BOOK THIS HOTEL. For the matter of your safety and comfort please go for another option as there are alot in the same area.

The worst hotel i have ever seen in my whole life! Tiny rooms, terrible food and they cancel your reservation for no reason without prior notice!!!! ANNA is the most racist person in the world! She kicked us out of the hotel before our last night! What a service they provide. Not recommended at all. Stay away from this hotel and avoid them at any cost! #say_no_to_racism

Excellent small Hotel in the centre of Athens. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would stay here again.

First thing I met a grumpy receptionist.I didn't see him similing at all. And also he was not really helpful. The room was looking so poor. There was no quality furniture. The beds were not comfortable. The bathroom was not nice. And the sound isolation was so bad. All night I listened the sound of flush upstairs. Shortly apart from the location there is nothing attractive about the hotel.

Very bad experience, we stayed this hotel for 4 nights we were trying to spend the whole day out because the rooms were terrible , not clean and even the bath tub was broken, there were 2 receptionist there at the hotel the guy was somehow decent however THE LADY ‘ANNA’ she was super rude and treating us in a very bad and racist way. Won’t recommend the hotel for anybody as later on we found at the same location better hotels and higher quality with the same price.

Fantastic hotel right in the centre of athens,lovely staff,breakfast very good too,many bars and restaurants very close by...a great view of the acropolis from the roof garden too!!

The toom is basic, the bad wasn't so comfortable but it have all the rest, good size, clean, tv, ac. The staff were great, so kind and helpful. The locao is the best part of the hotel. Great location.

A nice simple hotel, clean rooms and in a good location. However it depends which room you have. 102 is right next to a night club. On Friday night the thumping music did not stop till 4 am. I GOT NO SLEEP. Saturday and Sunday only slightly better.

The location is just where I want it to be, a welcoming staff, they upgraded my room to the roof garden which I had a great access to the terrace, the breakfast was more than I expected, Friendly staff and cleanliness above and beyond

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH HOTEL CAROLINA.DUE TO THE FLEXIBILITY AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF FROM HOUSEKEEPING TO THE FRONT AND THE CONTINENTAL I WOULD SAY BREAKFAST THAT I HAVEN'T SAT FOR MY BREAKFAST IN MANY OTHER HIGHER RATED HOTELS IN AND OUTSIDE OF GREECE THANK YOU CAROLINA AND EVEN GETTING TO MEET THE OWNER GIVES YOU THE KNOWING OF HOW PROFESSIONAL THEY LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE ROOMS WHERE SUPER CLEAN RENOVATED ALL LINEN WAS TIP TOP AND AS FOR THE SIZE OF ROOMS AND BATHROOMS WELL TO ME THEY WERE SATISFACTORY AND I DID CHANGE A COUPLE A FEW ROOMS DO TO THE NATURE OF MY BUSINESS IN ATHENS I WILL BE SEEING YOU THIS YEAR ALSO THANK YOU KIRIE GIANNI

I had booked this hotel 6 months in advance and the trip ended up being shut down due to covid (out of my hands, I would’ve went if the border were open)… the hotel refused to give me my money back and offered a very short time to use the voucher. I was not able to travel because of Greece’s restrictions until now, and their only reply is, “sorry.” So this hotel feels it is appropriate to NOT give me money or a voucher back for a trip I was unable to take because of Greece’s strict travel laws! Absolutely sick. Their customer service was terrible. Do not give these people your money. They took my money without providing the service paid for.

They will cancel your reservation without notification and try to blame it on you. Showed up at the reception to be told “ your booking is canceled so you should find an other hotel. I suggest walking around the hotels nearby and try and find one” that is at 8 pm with all our luggage. Great suggestion. Thank you.

Nice stay in the heart of Athens. Short walk to everything, near let station and lots of shops and restaurants. Keep in mind that Athens is dirty if you stray off the main paths, if your good with that, staying downtown is a real cultural experience. Hotel was clean, not much but a basic room. The balcony on 5th floor is nice but gives very little view of the pantheon. That said, it's only a short walk away

Stayed there 3 nights. The location is where the late night activity is. Would have given it 5 stars if it was not for the noise and some horn blowing until 2:30 in the morning. Really could not get why a continuously blowing horn for several times for between 30 and 90 minutes at a time is tolerated. The only negative experience in Athens and had nothing to do with the hotel. So depending on your priorities this a great location. Close to the metro and most tourist this a person visiting would want to see. If you just want to sleep... well look for something away from downtown. Maybe ask for a room on the top floor. Mine was on the 1st floor. The hotel is as advertised. Clean, fantastic water pressure and HOT. Great! Sheets are changed everyday and even a picky person would not find anything wrong with the cleanliness or room service in general. The bed was comfortable and the heat/AC unit worked well. The front desk is always attended and was always helpful. Oh, and it is a good value for the money. My first night was booked online for $40. The 2 additional nights were 45. Will stay there again and hope the horn was an anomaly.

Vivi made our stay at the hotel absolutely flawless! We stayed on the top floor with access to the terrace which truly made the smallish rooms grand. Ask for extra pillows, as the ones given are pancake flat. It is not the fanciest place I have stayed but Vivi truly went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! Thank you, Vivi!!!
