Nikos runs a fantastic organization. First of all, he was a great communicator and did not hesitate to make suggestions and to work with us as we customized most of our tours. We took 4 day long tours with his organization over 10 days across the Greek mainland. Nikos then set us up a last minute 5th custom tour with another fantastic driver. I wish I could remember his name as he deserved a shout out as well for his care of us on a tour to Poseidon's temple. Nikos pared us with George for our original 4 day tours as our driver and guide. 3 were out of the western Greece area and the 4th tour out of Athens to Delphi. 2 of the tours were completely unique to our needs and George did not miss a beat. Great driving, excellent care of our group, the best communication we could ask for, very accommodating while still keeping us on track. Not only was our driver/guide George great, but the private site guides that Nikos arranged were also top notch! Personable, knowledgeable and all spoke good English.

We only had one day in Athens before boarding our cruise ship. I contacted Nikos several months before our trip and he was extremely helpful and importantly, very flexible! We ended up changing the type of tour a couple times and since we were just arriving on an overnight flight, we weren't sure we would be up for a full day tour, so Nikos said it was no problem to decide that morning when our driver picked us up. Our driver (Makis) was waiting for us when we got through customs and we quickly went off to start our tour. Makis suggested going to Cape Sounion first to be most efficient with our day since the airport is a ways outside of Athens. We then went to Athens to hit the highlights. Makis was great, providing us lots of information while driving to the next sites (we had thought about hiring a guide as well, but in the end, felt like we got plenty of info from Makis and were glad we didn't also hire a guide). And we were amazed how much we packed into the day; Makis knew just when to hit the changing of the guard and did an amazing job navigating all the traffic. At Acropolis, he dropped us right off at the closest point and then we texted him as we were heading back down. Makis also was great about taking our pictures at all the sites and was a wealth of knowledge about Greek history and all the historical sites. Overall, I would highly recommend and others on our cruise were quite envious of our whirlwind tour where they spent hours and hours at just a single site on a group tour ;) !

Our family had an incredible experience with the private tour group in Greece, thanks to our outstanding guide, Tolis. His deep knowledge of Greek history and his ability to bring the monuments and ruins to life was truly impressive. FIRST CLASS from Start to Finish! We have used Private Greece Tours twice, once in 2018 and now in August, 2023. Their operation has always been first class. We arranged two tours with P.G.T. Tour Group. Our first tour began from ATH. Spyros was waiting for us just outside side of baggage claim. During our drive to Cape Sounion, Spyros, shared facts about Greece, the history of the region, and information about Greek mythology. Upon arrival to The Temple of Poseidon, Spyros provided instructions on how to pay and enter the site, made suggestions on great photographic vantage points, and where to meet him after we completed our visit. The following day, Spyros, collected us from our hotel. We customized an itinerary that followed the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. We also included a stop at the Monastery of Dafni, Canal of Corinth, ancient Corinth, and Acrocorinth Castle. We would highly recommend Spyros and P.G.T. Tours. They truly allowed us to personalize the tour. We were allowed to control the time spent at each location and add stops as requested. Spyros was very knowledgeable and provided helpful suggestions for exploring Athens and some local eateries.

We were met by our fantastic guide Jimmy right at dock. He had cool bottled water available whenever we were back in the car, which we needed as it was super hot. The car was immaculate and plenty of space for 4 of us. The tour was perfect as you get to see all the famous sites but with the bonus of being guided by someone local and knowledgeable. Jimmy made sure we were on time to see the changing of the guards which was great to watch. We really enjoyed our day in Athens and would thoroughly recommend this instead of booking through the cruise line. Much more affordable yet felt like a real luxury

We were ending a week long cruise and didn’t have a lot of time in Athens before our flight. We needed a transfer to the airport but wanted to do some sightseeing. Nicolas hooked us up with a private car and the driver George was WONDERFUL!! Very courteous polite and super knowledgeable. He took us to a few specific sites that didn’t disappoint. We loved him. My family booked two tours with Private Greece Tours -Athens Day Tour and Delphi Day Tour. Both were fantastic. Nikos was wonderful and clearly communicated the tour details. Dominic was our driver. He is an 11 out of 10. His knowledge of Greek Ancient History is amazing and he’s a joy to spend the day with. We travelled with another couple to Greece and with COVID wanted to have a private tour. . .from my first inquiries with Nikos (owner of PGT) I was extremely impressed with his prompt communications and organization as we planned our 3-day tour of the Peloponnese and then another full-day tour of Athens/Point Sounion. The two guides we had for these (Dominic & George) were FABULOUS. . .they each shared interesting stories and were so much fun. . .we felt that we came away with new friends. My wife and I along with 2 teenage children did a one day excursion in Athens and a 3 day excursion to Delphi, Olympia and Corinth. We enjoyed every minute of both of these excursions. We took the half day Athens tour right after we landed at the airport and it was the perfect welcome to Greece. George was very nice, attentive, and informative.

George was our tour guide in Athens, and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city, from antiquity to present day. He weaved together the ancient and the modern into a cohesive story as we drove around the city, and gave us time to explore the sites. He went out of his way to try to help a member of our party who had accidentally bought the wrong ticket, and was flexible when it came to altering the itinerary when it made sense to do so. The tour was great, and I would highly recommend this service. In the Athens heat, it made a big difference to be able to see some of the sites from an air conditioned van as well.

We booked a half-day private tour to Corinth during our stay in Athens. Nikos was very easy to work with, quick to respond, and allowed to customize our tour as we wanted. Best way to see the sights in Athens. Nikos is very responsive to his clients needs. We stayed in Athens for 2.5 days. We were picked up from the airport, 1.5 days of tours and airport transfer on our way out. George was our driver/escort. Excellent on-time service, courteous and very well spoken in English. We also made use of a tour guide through Nikos. She was 'amazing'. Excellent knowledge all all the sites we visited, which put our short and excellent experience over the top. When we do go back to Athens, we will make sure Nikos and his team will be there for us again!!!

Wow! What a great trip. And to have a guide/driver/friend just drive you around and tell you about the sights, restaurants, shops, etc is priceless. George is awesome. He even played games with our family in the evenings. (He’s very competitive :) ). The food was magnificent. The history and archeology were fantastic. The trip exceeded our expectations. And to not have to worry about anything with your own private driver was beyond words. We were well taken care of.

I can’t say enough about PGT. From my first interaction with Nikos while I was planning our trip from home in the U.S. Nikos was quick to respond, always responsive to what I was asking and once we finalized our itinerary the finalization of our reservations was quick and easy. Upon landing in Athens we were greeted by Dominick. A big man with a huge smile and an even bigger heart. We were traveling with our two young sons (9&12) and Dominick had the perfect touch to keep them engaged and bond with them right from the start. My husband and I and a friend engaged Private Greece Tours for a sunset tour to the Temple of Poseidon. The Temple of Poseidon was stunning. Our driver was Harry and he was the sweetest and most helpful man. He drove at a good pace and we could soak in the beautiful coastal views. The car was very clean which was important for us. Water was also available in the car. Harry also recommended a excellent restaurant for us to have dinner and we had the best grilled seafood. The 3-throng approach that made our Athens visit so wonderful was executed to perfection by Nikos and his team at Private Greece Tours. Nikos was responsive, patient and very knowledgeable during the reservation phase. We had some specific places we wanted to visit and he was accommodating of all our requests. Our driver, Kostas, proved to be a local expert as he masterfully maneuvered the narrow streets of Athens. She recommended a delicious, non-tourist-trap, seafood restaurant with the most breathtaking views on our way to Cape Sounion. I reached out to several outfits before we left home for Europe for a day-trip in Athens and I ended up selecting Private Greece Tours. The reservation is straight forward, and the communication was punctual. The day arrived and our driver/guide, Spyros, picked us up at the Piraeus Port by the Exit Terminal. We had a great day-trip with him, got to know what we were about to see from him prior to arrival on location. Spyros is also a skillful driver, and funny! Nikos made it very easy to book a trip/tour with his company. He was very responsive from beginning to end. My wife and I booked the full day Athens & Corinth and had a great time. The only “problem” we had was our taxi driver wasn’t there right at 8. At 8:15am I called Nikos and he had another driver come pick us up. Unfortunately, the original driver was involved in an accident but Sikas arrived to save our day! He apologized profusely but we’re easy going and we know things happen. It’s not like we lost the entire day, just 30 mins. Sikas took us to grab a quick bite of breakfast and a coffee. We then proceeded to the Acropolis. It was raining and we had ponchos from our cruise line, but Sikas provided umbrellas for us as well which was greatly needed. He gave us plenty of history about Athens and Greece in general. He dropped us off at the area close to the Acropolis and we waited in a long line to see the ruins. Like moved fairly quickly and we enjoyed everything there. We also went to Areopagus Hill and then he picked us up. On to Corinth for the 2nd part of our day. The sun came out on our 45 mins ride to Corinth and we first stopped to see the Corinth Canal. We had beautiful weather as we saw the ancient city of Corinth. It was neat to follow in the footsteps of St Paul and Sikas explained much about Paul’s missionary journeys with us that we were familiar with from the Bible. Sikas brought us to an amazing restaurant where we ate Souvlaki, Greek salad and other great food. He surprised us by taking us to the two poets to which is believed where Paul came into and left from Corinth. Back to Athens we went to see the parliament building, the guards and then stopped by the Olympic stadium before heading back to the port. Overall we had a great experience. Sikas was very polite, gave us much information and took us around in his Mercedes E-class sedan which was a very comfortable, a/c ride! Highly recommend PGT!! There was more we could have seen in Athens, but we forewent that because we really wanted to go to Athens! Reasonable pricing and they had fantastic reviews which is why I went with them. They lived up to the reviews and I’m here adding to the 5 stars! Thank you Nikos and Sikas!!

We did the Athens and Cape Sounion full day tour with my wife and two kids (ages 7&10) and two parents with somewhat limited mobility (80’s). The booking process was straightforward and easy and I dealt with the owner Nikos. Our driver Tolis showed up perfectly on time with a big Mercedes van for our family. Tolis had the splendid ability to cater to all three generations in our party. He was a hit with my kids and with my parents. The tour was easily adapted to fit our needs. The van was comfortable to sit in, good air temperature which Tolis was proactive about changing as we needed. There was plentiful fresh cold bottled water available, and there was even free unlimited wifi in the Van. Tolis took us to a restaurant near Cape Sounion that was solid and made some good food recommendations. To be honest the sights were fantastic, but their service and frictionless nature of the tour made for a really wonderful and memory filled day for my family. The booking process was so easy thru email and we were able to book a private driver for 3 days - a sunset trip to Poseidon’s temple, and two full day tours in Athens & Delphi. We had Sakis as our driver and he provided us with so much history about each place, with kindness, went above and beyond for us - bringing us to two local restaurants for lunch that were both spectacular, being so thoughtful with cold water on the hot days, getting us ready for each place we saw so that when we arrived all we had to do was see the sites. Perfect in every way! I’m so glad I found Nikos and Sakis and this company!

Our day with Tolis and Katherine was perfection. Knowledgeable and fun for a multi-generational group. They knew how to interact with each person so we were all engaged. We have recently booked a full day tour with private Greece tours. My wife was a little bit skeptical because our hotel was nearby many of the attractions Athens has to offer. Hubby, three daughters and I had a wonderful time in Greece this Summer! We visited Santorini and then had two days to spend in Athens before returning to the States. We booked two half days of tours. One to SOunion and the other to Crete. On our first day we had George as our guide and driver. He was so wonderful and informative. He kept everyone, adults and children engaged the whole trip. We loved George so much we asked for him to be our guise the next day and loved it even more. Worth every penny. We had originally booked only a transfer from the Airport to our AirBnb in Athens. Our driver welcomed us and took us to a spacious, clean Mercedes van. He was very informative and during the drive to the city we decided to book an Argolis day tour for the next day. This spur of the moment decision was the best decision we made during our visit! The tour was fantastic! We learned a lot plus we had the opportunity to add a two hour stop for a swim (August is scorchingly hot in Athens!). Upon our return we immediately booked our return transfer to the Airport with Irini. The cost of the tour was very reasonable. We all agree: Private Greece Tours is the best!

Nikos Loukas (Owner) patiently, courteously, and promptly answered all our queries and questions concerning tour contents, vehicle, driver, language and covid-19 protocols and procedures. We were also fortunate to have the same driver for both tours – Dominic. Dominic was extremely professional, knowledgeable, well spoken, funny, out-going without being intrusive, patient and always offered interesting options each day for what we might want to experience on our tour. Would not hesitate to recommend PGT to any friends or acquaintances travelling to Greece or to use them again ourselves in any future travel to Greece.

My partner and I had a one day Athens tour with Private Greece Tours in October. As arranged our driver was outside our AirBnB in Athens at 8. Giorgio, our driver, gave us a wonderful tour of the city with information about history and mythology and plenty of trivia. We also discussed the state of Greece's economy today and how Greece is coping with the migration crissis. Very interesting. My partner wanted to find a particular pair of leather sandals that he had seen online and George was happy to take us to the shop to buy them! We both had a great time and enjoyed ourselves immensely!!! Great value for money!

My husband and I visited Greece in September. For our visit to Mycenae and Epidaurus we decided to book with Private Greece Tours. We stoped in Athens for a few hours as part of our cruise. We were a little skeptical about booking a private tour as we usually book through the cruise ship. We decided to give it a try. We did a little research and finally booked with Private Greece Tours. They were the first to reply to our request and the most informative too. We were picked up from the port, had a wonderful time and were back to our cruise ship with time to spare! This company was first class! Our driver/guide was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. We had been to Athens a couple of times before, (and honestly never really liked the city all that much) but we saw a completely different side with the half day trip to Cape Sounion. It was very special to see the Temple of Poseidon, but I enjoyed the scenery and commentary just as much. I very much recommend Private Greece Tours!

Our family of four (kids are 21 and 19 years old) had a 1/2 day tour with Nikos' company. Our driver, George, and personal guide, Katerina, both met us at our hotel right on time and off we went for a combination driving tour of Athens, along with visits to the Acropolis and other sights. George and Katerina have great chemistry as a duo, are born and raised in Greece and it is evident how proud each of them is of their homeland. The information they provided was spot-on and the private tour allowed the flexibility to do and see what we desired on our schedule. In spite of the driving rain we encountered all day, George and Katerina were unfazed and readily prepared to make schedule adjustments on the fly - along with providing a great suggestion for lunch at the end of the tour. Our family has been fortunate to travel to many countries/cities with a private tour in each and Nikos' company has been one of the best - we highly recommend this company.

I cannot recommend Nikos and his company (Private Greece Tours) enough! Professional, courteous and just the definition of customer service! Sakis, who was AMAZING, picked us up at the ship and took us on a PRIVATE whirlwind tour of Athens and Cape Sounio. This excursion was so much better than anything Royal Caribbean could offer and it isn't even close. From the beginning Sakis gave us so much information about the Acropolis that frankly the tour could have ended there and I would have died happy. But Sakis continued to impress us. We would highly recommend the private tour of Athens and Cape Sounio if you go to Athens! Nikos is always willing to help so reach out to him with questions to put you mind at ease.

Great experience all around. Our family had a wonderful 1/2 day tour with Private Greece Tours. We found them through reading other reviews on TripAdvisor. Dominic was our guide and he was outstanding. Arrived ahead of schedule, had thought of everything from water, to umbrellas and was a wealth of knowledge about Athens and the sites we were seeing. We have two teenagers and he was able to keep them both very interested and engaged the entire time! I highly recommend Private Greece Tours.

I used Private Greece Tours for a tour in Athens, another one in Sounion, and a 2-day tour across Delphi, Meteora, Thermopylae, in August 2021. The driver was Spyros. He was super helpful and flexible. Due to the heatwave, the opening hours of some sites were changed at the last minute, but Spyros just adapted his schedule so we could see everything. He has great tips for restaurants and hotels along the way. He even helped to book and took us to a Covid test to optimise our timetable. I strongly recommend this company and will definitely use them on my stay in Greece!

From trying to organize a private tour right through to the end of the tour, Private Greece Tours was excellent. I had a lot of questions up front and Nikos answered all of them. I knew exactly what to expect upon arrival and our driver, Mikas, was there waiting in the port of Piraeus (Athens). He gave us all the history of the things we saw including pictures and we were able to customize our tour to what we wanted. The price was very reasonable as well. I would definitely use them again . 5 stars all the way!!!

Our tour with Private Greece Tours could not have been better. The booking process was easy: Nikos replied quickly to my inquiries and patiently answered all of my questions as I chose which tour I wanted. The payment process went exactly as he said it would. All of the booking process was easy. And the tour was beyond what we expected! We were picked up at our hotel on time by our driver, George. George spoke not just fluent English, but easily understandable, fluent English. George was entertaining, knowledgeable, and so helpful. He even offered hints on where to take the best photos. At each site, he dropped us right where we needed to be and picked us up as we exited. Through Nikos, we booked a tour guide, Dorina, for the Acropolis. Dorina was also engaging and oh so knowledgeable! Understanding what we were seeing was so helpful! Our only regret is not booking Dorina for the entire day! Both George and Dorina had photos of how the sites looked in ancient times and maps of what we were seeing. We were provided multiple bottles of water for the day, and after the tour, George dropped us off where we chose to be dropped. We chose the full day tour of Athens and Corinth and because of traffic, George chose the best order to maximize our time at each site. I would not hesitate to recommend Private Greece Tours! Incredible experience. We booked with Nikos ( the owner ) a private half day tour in Athens. Beat all of our expectations and Makis our driver gave us the greatest time on our trip. We used private greece tours and did we choose right! To start with, Nikos and his team excelled with their communication, which was reassuring. Nikos held our hand through the entire process and made us feel at ease with what to expect. We were greeted by Sakis outside our cruise ship and right away we were taken onto a magical tour of Athens. We chose the PRIVATE 8 hrs because we were able to take things out and add thing, most importantly the trip to the Temple of Poseidon. Sikas knowledge of the acropolis alone was enough to make this trip worth while. This trip was the highlight of our cruise to Greece and easily bested all our other excursions! Do not let the cruise line scare you into not using a non cruise line excursion as Sikas always kept track of our time and let us know when we need to head back. A+++++ rating in my book! Thnak you Nikos, Sikas and the entire team for such a great time!!!!

We recently went on a 4 day Peloponnese tour through Private Greece Tours and had a wonderful time. Shortly into the tour it became evident that it was money well spent. First of all the sights to see were amazing and the layout of the tour was well thought out. The hotels were also very nice with great rooms, good food and well situated. Makis, our driver, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology and had a strong passion for it that was contagious. He was also very courteous, friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. We felt like we were his guests and that he was happy and proud to show us Greece. Of course he was also a good driver, but he was so much more than that. From reading Niko’s website we got the impression that we might require a professional guide for some of the sites but in our case this was not needed at all. Makis gave us such good background explanations for each site as we were driving and then when we stopped at the site he would spend time preparing us for exactly what we would be seeing, the best routes to take, the must sees etc that a guide was not necessary. Overall we can not say enough good things about Makis. When trying to decide which of the tours to take we sent many emails to Nikos who always answered them quickly and helpfully. We are so glad that we chose Private Greece Tours. It was a fantastic tour, we highly recommend it to anybody especially those interested in learning about Greek archaeology, history and culture. My wife and I just recently visited Athens. We only had one day to devote to the and sites and neither of us had ever been to the city. A friend recommended Private Greece Tours which is owned by Nikos Loukas. From the moment I contacted Nikos, I was treated like family and it was clear that he took pride in showing off Athens and in making his clients 100% satisfied with their experience. Booking was easy, he offered several full-day options, and made it clear that it was OUR day and that our driver would be happy to customize the day based upon OUR interests. We were greeted on time at our hotel by Dominic in a first class vehicle. Dominic was, honestly, the most charming driver / guide we had ever met. He showed us the Acropoplis, the Agora, and all the major sites. But the best part was not just the luxury of being driven around and avoiding having to navigate, but his knowledge. I'm a history buff and I have long dreamt of seeing Athens. Dominic knew a TON and, at each stop, gave us plenty of information about the stie, it's import, and it's relevance to western civilization. His knowledge was simply incredible and he was able to answer every question we had. This resulted in an incredibly memorable day at a price that is simply a bargain, given that he was a driver / guide combo. I would urge anyone visiting Athens to contact Nikos and book a day, or better yet, multiple days with him. You will never find a better value in your travels. Seriously.

Our Tour was great. We were in a private 12 person van which was spacious and comfortable and Akis did a good job in navigating us through all are stops/destinations. Grabrielle did a fine job in guiding us and was well informed both on the history and current events of Athens. She had also researched the days events and was able to adjust our route to avoid any delays that might have be caused by protests. I would totally recommend this tour to anyone considering going to Athens.

We are extremely pleased with our service/tour. Elias our driver was prompt, helpful and very knowledgable. We felt like we had a good knowledge of Athens at the completion of our tour. He made sure we loved the city as much as he does. We stayed in an Airbnb that was very tricky to get to in the Plaka district. He called the owner of the house and got us as close as possible, not an easy task. He helped us with our bags and made sure to give clear instructions to the company for our pickup to the airport. The Mercedes van was clean and very comfortable. We appreciated the full size umbrellas he had for us. We highly recommend Private Greece Tours, from the ease of reservations, the helpfullness of the staff to the fabulous drivers. You are in good hands with Nikos and his staff.

Our tour with George was the BEST. He was so easily to relate too and he was extremely knowledgeable. He welcomed all of our many questions and answered them, even if we got interrupted. He was extremely attentive and made sure all comforts were met- water, food, restrooms, comfort in the van., etc. He was very willing to make sure we experienced what we hoped to out of Athens and was committed to providing an amazing time. He knew all about all of the sights in Athens and took great care to share all the details of this magical place. We would tour again with him anytime!

We had the best experience with PGT! Nikos helped arrange 4 days of tours in Athens & the surrounding cities & made the planning & our airport/cruise transfers run smoothly. I was very impressed by this tour! Our driver Dominik was amazing! My boyfriend and I took the 2 day private tour to Delphi and Meteora. This was the perfect way to see these sights!
