Booking with George’s Taxi for a private tour was the best decision I made in Athens. Our driver Demitrius was polite, funny, upbeat, knowledgeable, and more than accommodating. He tailored the tour to our needs... we even stopped for a quick coffee break in the morning and he took us to the perfect spot. We somehow missed every crowd and were perfectly timed for every stop. Crowds seemed to appear just as we were leaving each spot. I highly recommend this tour and especially our tour guide (his driving skills were amazing).

My husband and I booked George's Taxi for one day of our honeymoon. We booked a full day tour from Athens to see the Corinth Canal, ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplio, and Epidaurus. We are so happy we booked this trip! We got to see the amazing ruins and the gorgeous countryside. The tour was worth every single Euro! There is no way we could have seen so much had we tried to take public transportation or drive. Private tours are much more intimate, flexible, and relaxed than large tours, and our driver Alex was amazing--he was very kind, smart, knowledgeable, and friendly. He told us the history of all the sites before we visited them and gave us valuable information about Greece for our trip. We had a wonderful day with him! I'm so thankful I happened to read about George's Taxi in a guidebook and that we booked them--I highly recommend them to everyone considering a private tour and I would not hesitate to book them again! We have amazing memories and this day will definitely be a fond memory for years to come.

We booked the Best of Athens in a Day private tour and had an incredible time. Our driver, Kostas, went above and beyond to take care of us. He took us to all the highlights, was very knowledgeable and friendly, helped us order lunch (and even saved a table for us), and customized the tour based on crowds at various sites. Hired a driver for a 4 day trip around Greece for my husband and I. It was worth every penny. We had a great time, it was so comfortable, I didn’t have to make any decisions, the hotels were all planned out and delicious dinner options were recommended. The driver was super nice and was an excellent host, we chatted a lot and then took naps on some parts of the drive. Great photos all along the way and lovely views of the countryside. The whole experience was a treat, I hope to come back and do it all again.

We went on the 2 day Meteora/Delphi trip and our driver, Dimitrios, was the best! He exceeded our expectations. He was thoughtful and took us to the best restaurants and best picture places and gave us such a good history lesson before we visited Delphi, Thermopylae, and Meteora. We used George taxi in athens back in May and had the best experience with the company. Pickup was smooth from the airport. We had a hiccup with luggage being stuffed into the car since we were traveling with my mother who last minute needed a full size walker. However, our driver took us to our hotel from the airport so we could leave all our luggage in storage since it was early and started the tour from our hotel and it was a fantastic day or learning about history of athens. I do recommend anyone going to acropolis to purchase tickets ahead of time as we didn’t think about it till we were there. The day was just great. Driver was excellent. We saw a lot of sites and he was very knowledgeable about everything. I would definitely book with this company again if I ever return to Athens

We had a great experience with George’s Taxi when we took a day trip from Athens to Delphi! Very punctual, safe, and informative experience. Our driver Aristotle (yes that’s his real name) was excellent and was a great guide during our drive to Delphi. He pointed out many things to us during the ride, including some good vista point stops and a great recommendation for lunch!

Highly recommend George’s Taxi. I hired them to take my husband and I to Delphi for the day in early November. The entire experience was first rate. Making the reservation was very easy and quick. And our driver, Demetrius, was wonderful. His kindness, professionalism, and knowledge helped to make it a special day for us.

We went on 2 tours with George's Taxi and had a phenomenal experience. Stavros "Steve" was incredibly personable and knowledgeable, and his keen insight helped us gain a much deeper understanding of Greek culture. It was worth the price of the tours just for the casual conversations with Steve on the way to/from the sites. All of his recommendations were spot on and we learned so much about the culture in the process. And that's in addition the beautiful countryside and historical places we visited. Definitely recommend!

We booked a 6-day Peloponnese and Central Greece tour and were very pleased. Our driver (Stratos) was kind, professional, always prepared, and a font of information. He took us (3 adults) in a comfortable Mercedes taxicab, stopping at regular intervals for sights, to stretch our legs, lunch, etc. Stratos supplied water, hand wipes, and good conversation (in English). The lodgings arranged by the taxi company were clean, comfortable, and had good breakfasts. Our itinerary was well-planned and unhurried. Would highly recommend.

Use this transfer service! George's Taxi came highly recommended from several travel groups that I am a part of and they did not disappoint. We used them for several airport transfers during our 2 week stay as well as a 2 day tour of Delphi and Meteora. They were prompt for all pickups. The 2 day tour was exceptional. Their knowledge of Greek history was amazing, so detailed it felt like we had our own guide. In Delphi they arranged a licensed guide for us which enhanced our experience. We hired George's Taxi Private Tour and went to Delphi with Demetrius 26th Nov 2020. Such a nice experience! What a wealth of history knowledge Dimitri had, telling us some many stories of what we were going to visit in Delphi. Very nice chat, safe driving and above all, he recommended an outstanding local restaurant Taverna Vakhos. Fantastic!

We learned about George's Famous Taxi Service from Matt Barrets facebook group and are so glad we booked with them for our December trip to Athens. Our driver, Gianni (sp?), was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We had several needs during the week, including a tour of Sounio coast, late airport transfers, and early morning airport transfers. We felt like Gianni was family by the end of our stay. It was a great way to get oriented with Greece and Athens as he had local recommendations, taught us some Greek phrases, history, and was super kind when my husband left his phone in the car and returned it, and helped us find an ATM so we could pay cash. We will use George's taxi every time we return to Athens and cant wait to explore other tours they have available as well.

When we decided to use George's taxi tour, we were blown away by the service we got. We felt like royalty. Right after being scammed by the Athens airport taxi driver and the Athens police (like Gigi H), we were wary about Greece in general. However, Stratos (like the Stratosphere) turned our trip around. He was amazing, courteous, knowledgeable and extended himself beyond our expectations. We realized that Greece is amazing outside of Athens. He gave us advice and suggestions and catered the tour to our needs. If you want to stick to a certain schedule or see certain things make sure to let him know. We had the benefit of never worrying about our stuff, rain (yes it happens), water, wet naps. The car was incredibly clean and the AC was on high. He found ways to reduce our walking in the heat and even picked us up off-the-clock because he was worried. Wonderful guy! Highly recommend. We did the 2 day Delphi, Meteora trip and it was amazing.

Couldn't be better. Went with Nicholas for a Sounion sunset trip. Nicholas is a wonderful person, perfectly organized, and the car was great. My wife and I agree that this was an outstanding excursion, in every respect. Wholeheartedly recommended!

This was the best way to see Athens as soon as landing at the airport. Steve picked us up, after a four hour flight delay, and showed us the highlights of the city. He didn't act as a guide at the Acropolis, but we knew this going in. What he did do was take us around to see things (like the changing of the guard at the Presidential Palace instead of Parliament) which was a much more intimate experience. He filled us in on things we might like to see and do in the coming days and was an extraordinary companion for the four hours we were with him. Hire George's Taxi and ask for Steve...you won't be disappointed!
