We joined Athens Food on Foot's ultimate food tasting tour straight after a 12 hour overnight flight and what a wonderful 4 hour introduction to Athens city centre and Greek food it was for us! We had local pies and pastry, Greek coffee and sweets, cheese, honey, seasonal fruits and more. We mentioned olives and Anna got us some! Anna also shared about Greek history and culture. Our group included 2 children and the tour was conducted at a good pace for us. Thank you Anna!

With tidbits of trivia, history, and food knowledge thrown in, we walked the streets of Athens and ate fresh honey, enormous bagels, scrumptious pastries and ended with a veritable feast. I would encourage you to take "The Ultimate Food Tour" with Athens Food on Foot. It was around 3.5-4 hours and you get to visit a few different neighbourhoods in and around Monastraki Square (where you begin your tour). You won't go home hungry, that's for sure!

Our first day in Athens, we went on a food tour with Lefteris and it was amazing! We learned so much from him, and it helped us throughout the rest of the trip! As we walked through neighborhoods, we popped into places I would've just walked by without regard. A place with a Neon sign that said "Pizza" - why would I stop for pizza? Well, because it had the best Bougatsa ever! And the history and stories Lef told were so helpful. We went to Delphi a few days later and caught ourselves saying, "Lef said this; Lef said that." In one afternoon, he was able to feed us, show us this great city, and give us a quick glimpse into the people and culture. Did I mention that he took us to a place where there was not just good food, but wonderful folk music and dancing? Opa!

As a group of friends that travels together often we have gone on many tours but this was one of my favourites. Anna is a knowledgeable, friendly and charming guide that took the time to get to know us so it felt like we were out walking with a friend. The tour took us to many unexpected corners of the city and it really gave us a wide range of Greek cuisine to taste. A charming mix of culture, history and delicious food. Highly recommend.

We did a street art and food tour today with Anna. It was amazing! Anna took us to parts of the city we never would have discovered on our own (and even actively avoided!). I'm now a big fan of Ino! She told us about the artists and the subjects and took us to three different restaurants for delicious traditional Greek food. Anna is lovely and personable and knows the ins and outs of the modern city. She's so good that my kids (15,12,10,7) stayed awake interested and engaged until late at night.

That was a great food tour of Athens, we started in Monastiraki with pies and pastries, the weather was great and we it was nice walking while having small bites and tastings. We tasted all the iconic Greek food in small traditional shop we would never find on our own. Anna was charming and infomative we really had fun! Totally recomended!

I always start my travels with a walking tour, but since I discovered this FOOD tour I’m never going back to a plain old walking tour again! I took an Athens Food Tour this weekend and it did not disappoint. I decided on the Street Art/Street Food & Ultimate Food Tasting tours (2 separate ones) and I couldn’t recommend it enough! It was the perfect mix of walking, taking in sites, history and learning about neighborhoods while stopping to taste delicious Greek food, pastries and drinks along the way. Both of the tours had different stops, new information and different cuisine to try. The guide Anna was very kind and knowledgeable. We explored neighborhoods and important historical sites. At every food stop we were all welcomed in like a local and Anna took care of the ordering. She then explained the history behind the dishes, how they’re prepared, and other important facts before we dug in. ☺️ Whether you’re in Athens for a few days or longer, this is definitely something to add to your itinerary. I’m officially starting every trip with a food tour from now on!

A truly unforgettable experience. Now that I’m home and reflecting on my amazing trip in Greece, the one thing I’ll cherish most is meeting Anna. From the moment I met her I knew she was superior. I was lucky enough to experience a rare outing with Anna; a personal private food tour to one of her favorite traditional Greek restaurant (I believe the name was, “The Triangle.”) the food is something I’m dreaming of still!
