Assembly area for debates in ancient Athens, birth place of democracy. The orator’s plynth can still be seen from where there is a great viewpoint of the Parthenon and city as well as the hill of Lycabettus.

The hill of the nymphs is the extension of the hill of the Pnyx hill. From the ancient years this was a sacred location dedicated to the Nymphs, ethereal substances. The nymphs, according to legends, dominate nature, the souls and sometimes the sane. At the top of the Hill of the Nymphs is the Athens Observatory, a beautiful neoclassical building. The hill of the nymphs is 103 meter high and offers picturesque view on the whole skyline of the city. Access is free.

Lofos Nymfon (Hill of the Nymphs) in Athens is a serene and enchanting escape from the bustling city. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this hill offers a peaceful respite and stunning panoramic views of Athens. The hill's connection to Greek mythology adds an extra layer of intrigue, making it a must-visit for history and mythology enthusiasts. The well-maintained paths and benches provide an ideal setting for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment of reflection. The hill's location near other major attractions makes it easily accessible. Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat, a scenic picnic spot, or a glimpse into the mythological past of Athens, Lofos Nymfon is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered.

Best view of the city and the Parthenon. A great place to relax and get in touch with nature in the centre of Athens. Walk around filopappou, go to thisio, visit Socrates prison and get a drink or food in Petralona... What a great day you'll have!

One of the most scenic places in central Athens, a truly mystical place where dog walkers, musicians, joggers, families and taichi practitioners mingle amongst the ancient ruins.

Went there by night, while making time waiting for a friend. Very dark to the point that I hid my wedding ring and took off my headphones in case I was jumped by muggers. Nothing happened and at the top...one of the best views of the Acropolis. Definitely worth the adventure

Great place to see Acropoli and a city :) Much easier to climb than Lycabettus. From here you can ser heart of Athens, from Lycabettus you can see much bigger landscape with Pireus and Glifada. Both are great!

Nymphs Hill has a great view of the Acropolis. It's far less busy than the other more popular viewpoints. The side angle looks great in photographs. I recommend sunset for the best light.
