Just checked out after a two night stay, the best thing about this place is it’s staff, they were all so lovely. The hotel it’s self is not what you would expect for a couples break away, the food is really bad, both from the bar and the breakfast. The bar has 0 atmosphere and is kind of like an empty function room. We came on Friday night and went to the bar for food and a drink, had our food and one drink with it and left: There’s no entertainment and barely even background music. The rooms are extremely basic, the door doesn’t close properly you have to mess with it, we were here 5 minutes and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall in the bathroom. The shower is nice. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of shops & a domino’s & McDonald’s right outside. They’re also a dog friendly hotel which is fantastic! Thanks to all staff we dealt with but unfortunately this hotel is not for us.

Stayed one night a couple of nights ago. Very clean hotel. There was an immediate smell of cleanliness as soon as we walked through the door to the lobby. The room 322 was very clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Water pressure was very good in the shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was top notch! Served full Irish buffet breakfast very reasonably priced at €10 pp and certainly worth it! Really enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure.

Had a meal this evening with my parents at Creggan Court. Staff were good and friendly. However our three meals were very disappointing, and felt like they were re-heated. The chips were also undercooked. We were disappointed, and we left most of the meals behind us.

We didn't stay in the hotel we just had Sunday dinner and I must say I know where we will be going every week from now on. Not a bit shy with the food portions, by far the best in Athlone I have had in a very long time.

I only stopped off here to meet a friend for coffee, but I was impressed. The car park has plenty of spaces. We went to the bar for coffee because the restaurant was shut. Before we went inside the bar we were asked for our covid certificates and weren't allowed in until we showed them. I was Impressed with this. We both had our coffees, which were tasty, and I found it to be a relaxed atmosphere inside the bar. Staff were very helpful and mannerly. I will definitely return here the next time I am in Athlone.

Lovely hotel spotlessly clean I was very relaxed. From the reception staff waiting and bar staff and household staff they were excellent. Two minor complaints are, the noise of cars in the garage but that's not the hotels fault. The other was the mattresses there very hard. But I lay on two duvets and this helped. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
