Excellent friendliest staff, really great food, cozy romantic atmosphere, and parking outside. Great value for such good quality too! Highly recommend. I had goats cheese bruschetta & a prawn pasta (in photos). Their tiramasu is to die for 💕 Yum!!

I took my boyfriend there for his 30th birthday. The atmosphere was beautiful, it looked very fancy and there was parking directly opposite. The prices were reasonable for how fancy it looked, some takeaways are more expensive. Now for the negatives: two of the three people who looked after our table were very condescending, one was nice. We are not the richest people, which you can probably see, so it seems like they thought we didn't deserve respectful behaviour. Although one of the three was very nice and had humour and good soft skills. The pizza was slightly better than the frozen one from Aldi, but not by much. I can recommend it if you're rich and don't mind average food as long as the place looks fancy. Is there better pizza in Athlone? I don't know, so you have to try it for yourself.

Decent Italian...for Ireland. It is not Venice! No lift. 17 steep steps...crowded. great greek salad. We had the risotto...if you've never had it...it is OK. If you have been to my house or a good Italian restaurant...you will be less than thrilled. Tiramisu...ok.

Really great place! The food was extremely good (way above the average), the service super nice (they offered us a bruschetta while we were waiting for the food to arrive) and the place was nice and bright too! Highly recommended

Fabulous restaurant, I hadn't been here in a few years and still as good as ever. We came here last Tuesday for our daughter's confirmation dinner. Food and service excellent and very reasonable prices. Thank you Aldo and all the gang :)

Food was very lovely although the wings did not have much meat on them. Presentation was very good. Service amazing. Atmosphere was very good too. A lovely view outside the window.

We loved our delicious food. Super fresh, tasty, very good quality ingredients. i had the pasta with mushroom and prawns. It was stunning. My husband had a vegetarian pizza and loved it too. The service was top class the young guy who looked after us absolutely loves his job and it shows. Everyone was treated like royalty despite the place being mad busy for Xmas. We will be back for sure.

The food was okay, the lasagna was different compared to usual, I've been a few times and it was so busy last time so I think that played a factor! The service was great staff were lovely and friendly! The place was jam packed so it was very loud!

Our group of 30 recently had dinner at Il Colosseo, and it was such a lovely experience. All of the staff were so friendly and funny, and the food was amazing. We had an absolutely great time, and are grateful to the restaurant and staff for accommodating us.

Great food but no place for a family meal. Sat at 6.30 and couldn't hear ourselves think from 7 due to table of 9 very loud men beside us, who vaped throughout! Children and baby were mentioned in booking. Very disappointed.

Lovely restaurant, very family friendly. The food was fabulous especially the pasta dish with prawns(can't remember the name of it) but the prawns were absolutely delicious. Staff were all very friendly & efficient, the atmosphere was very relaxed. Just a lovely dining experience, I would highly recommend & we'd definitely go back.

The food was very fresh and the staff were also very helpful, they did only bring half the deserts out so half our group was finished before I had to remind them about the rest, apart from that it was a lovely meal out.

I went with a group of friends, I had never been there before, would I go back, absolutely 💯. The service was excellent, friendly, and professional staff .no problem was an issue. They facilitate everyone, and I mean everyone, celiac, vegetarian, vegan, and then all other pallets. The place is so cosy but plenty of fresh air. No waiting for table service, even though the whole building was fully booked upstairs and downstairs . Definitely would go back

I dined here on a very busy Friday evening just before Xmas and I really thought the service would suffer. But it was the opposite. The place was packed but the service was outstanding! A really beautiful venue with truly exceptional food. The pasta dishes here are not just delicious but are works of ART!! Definitely the best italian restaurant I have been in anywhere in the world. You may think my words are a little dramatic, but this is truly how I felt. I cannot recommend it higly enough.

Stumbled on to this place when staying at the Sheraton Athlone. Walked into town and was unable to get a table because it was so busy (always a good sign!). Came back a couple of nights later and had one the best meals of my life. Everything was amazing! From the charm and ambiance of the restaurant to the incredible food! Friendly service and didn't break the bank. Would go out of my way to come here if I visit Ireland again. You might want to call for reservations so you don't miss out!!

Fantastic place to eat. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere all meant that our group of 9 that arrived after booking this restaurant had a great night out. The only problem was that we were situated out of the main atmosphere of the restaurant and up on a separate floor. This may have been why service was a little slow or it may have been the kitchen trying to get everything at once. We made our own night though and our location didn't reduce our enjoyment of the meal and drinks.

My family and I have eaten here for our milestones and celebrations. I celebrated my birthday earlier in the year and on the August Bank Holiday weekend we celebrated our wedding anniversary here. This restaurant has a lively atmosphere, the chefs are visible to customers behind the counter to the rear of the premises yet you can have your private conversation. The service is excellent. No long wait times between courses and takeaway customers were also facilitated. Guys and gals, the food is fab here. We go the whole way when we are out. Starters, mains, sides, wine, desserts and coffees. Well worth it all! You have the choice how expensive your meal is going to be and there is a huge selection to pick from on the menu. I really feel like I have been given a treat when I dine in ll Colosseo. Great job everyone!

The food is gorgeous, the service is at a high standard. 3 of us walked in without a booking and in non neat dress attire and were still welcomed in with the upmost hospitality. The speciality pizza 🍕 is a must try. The prices are extremely fair.

Great food and service. At busy times expect a wait time for dishes. Well worth a visit with extensive food and wine menu. Generous portion sizes also. Fish special dishes were very good.
