I was absolutely appalled when I went into the women's bathroom. All of the trash was overflowing onto the floor. Soap and paper towel dispenser were broken. The bathroom had a terrible odor of not being cleaned in quite some time. The dining room carpet was sticky. Our chef and quality food were wonderful! My boyfriend ordered the tuna steak and the butter sauce that was poured over it was so salty it ruined the dish. The alcoholic drinks we ordered were definitely missing the alcohol. Very poor service from the waitress and the lady helping her. I would not come back to this location. The was also a spider 🕷 on my boyfriends plate. There was water dripping on me from the hood vent.

Edited comment: @Owner, you tell me to reach out, and I’ve done that on numerous occasions with no response. Visited this location in January. We’ve been to this location many times, and the food wasn’t bad. This most recent time we went, our food looked like this (pictured). I can eat raw shrimp, but this shrimp was gummy and gross. My entire family's meal was disgusting. I contacted the corporate office the first time, and nobody called me back. The following month, I called them again, and someone finally called back, but I missed the call. I returned the call 3-4 more times with no response. I contacted them online, and still no callback. I won’t be visiting any of the locations. I’ve been to cheaper Hibachi places that cook better. Super disappointing….and then on top of that, they raised the price 🤔

I’ve gone to Beni Hana for years, and this was the ultimate worst experience EVER! We sat in the bar area. First of all there were children sitting at the bar! Secondly they were out of everything from cherries, and only having sprite and Diet Coke. No lemonade. We ordered a blue ocean and for it to have 3-4 different type of alcohols, it tasted like straight juice, and I’m not a drinker. When our food came, it was honestly the saddest meal I have ever laid my eyes on. I had the emperor’s feast. The hibachi rice was an up charged and there want even any fried egg. There wasn’t any seasoning salt, pepper or otherwise. The chicken was dry, I couldn’t even swallow it, we had to ask for mushrooms even though it’s advertised with the meal. And the vegetables were mostly onions. Then before we left I went to the restroom and it was disgustingly nasty. I was scared to hover over the toilet. And I was In The handicapped stall and the soap wasn’t working. This is concerning for several reasons. #pandemic and secondly I have family members who are handicapped and I would never recommend this establishment. And to put icing on the cake I left the restroom and the owner and a patron were having a loud verbal altercation. Nerve wrecking experience. Our bill was 113$ and I have regrets. Oh and all of their sauces were refrigerator cold. Trash environment, trash food. Better off at McDonald’s.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at one of these establishments. They were busy which is understandable. I decided to have a drink at the bar until the table was ready. Everything i wanted to order was unavailable or missing a key ingredient. No mint for a mojito. No chocolate liquor for the espresso martini. No garnish or lychee for the lychee martini. Finally we are seated and the chef comes but as he reads the orders back to us to confirm they were incorrect. This delayed the start of our meal as additional portions of rice and food had to be fetched from the kitchen. The meal dragged on as the chef did not time the food well. Hibachi normally concludes with sherbet or ice cream. We literally had to ask the waitress for it and even then she did not bring it to us. We specifically told her we were celebrating a birthday. There was no song, no tambourines, no dessert! We decided to cut our losses and just leave.

We visited on Christmas. Upon being seated we noticed the grill and table were not clean. We reported this and when the cook came she did an amazing job of cleaning things. The cook did a great job of cooking the meal and we tipped her 20 dollars. Our waitress however, spent very little time taking care of our needs. I had to wait about 25 minutes to get my tea refilled and the rest of my family had to wait lengthy times for anything they asked the waitress to do. I asked to speak with the manager and waited patiently for no manager to show . I got up and asked the hostess if she could get our waitress to our table since the manager didn’t seem to be coming. . She told me the waitress was pregnant and they were busy and that I should understand. I then asked her for the manager. Our waitress finally showed and brought me tea with no ice and forgot some of the other requests at the table. After finally getting us to go boxes she gave us our receipt to pay. I gave mines back to her without paying and explained that I had asked for a manager and I would pay the bill once the manager came. She came back and stated the manager was busy but he had taken care of the problem by giving me a discount. I gave her the receipt back and explained that I was not looking for a discount but was hoping to speak with the manager and to take the receipt back and bring my original receipt without the discount and let the manager know that I needed to speak with him concerning my experience. I am not sure why anyone thought I was looking for a discount when the only thing I wanted was to speak with the manager about my experience. The manager did show after I returned the receipt the 2nd time and stated that I would be writing a google review.

Customer Service horrible. Host/Manager did not care. Reserved a table for 8pm 2 weeks in advance for birthday. Was not seated until 945 pm. Told reservations just "guaranteed a table not time. Waiter lazy and slow. Chef was the Best. He saved the night. I will never go to this location again!

Our experience was horrible. We made a reservation for 6:30pm. We sat down and the service was unimaginable. After begging, our table received water at 7pm. I ordered sushi and had to ask the manager, Walter where it was at 7:45pm. Our waitress was pretty good, but seemed frustrated. Tables that arrived after us received water and food prior to our table. Our Chef, Jose made the experience better. The manager (Walter) should of kindly listened to our feedback and concerns. I do realize places are short-staffed, so explain that to the customer and allow us to make a decision on whether to dine at your restaurant. I would not recommend eating at Benihana. The service and management need work. Nevertheless, thank you Jose!!🙏🏽

I am a little biased because I rolled sushi and cooked at a restaurant that served the same type of food but, getting food to go from here was not a positive experience. I hope the dine in experience is much better, but based on other reviews I don’t believe that is so. People pay a lot to eat there and the place could use some interior renovations or at least touch up paint. There was no line when I went in for lunch and it took 23 minutes for someone to take my order. I was told I was given “double meat” based on the picture below that’s pretty small for $25.00. By the time I was handed my food and when I tried it (4 minutes later) it wasn’t warm. The spicy salmon roll was pretty good. Food taste: C Food Portions: D Sushi: B+ Service: D Wait time: F Atmosphere: D+

Okay, so I usually throughly read reviews before trying something new and this time I didn’t, because it was last minute and instantly regretted it upon my arrival. My reservation was for 9:30. I went to the hostess and was told that they’re an hour behind on the wait. I said okay fine I’ll wait…My party didn’t get seated until after 11pm; we were sat and immediately noticed the grill was dirty we overlooked it as they cleaned before they started our dinner was started. So we ordered daiquiris the first one came out watered down we sent it back second one same thing so we had to order another drink. We received the Onion soup which was really dark and the ginger salad was absolutely horrible. It was more like ginger Soup Salad. The service was absolutely horrible. We only received our initial drinks no refills at ALL. The food wasn’t good, either rice was burnt and the veggies and chicken were overcooked. Our steak and lobster were just OKAY. To make it worst the Manager was our server, and we found that out at the end of our meal, being short staffed isn’t an excuse for low-quality service and inedible food. Wish I would’ve taken more pics but I’ll include what I have. Will NEVER come to this location EVER again!

This was my first time here and at the chain altogether. Before I get to my server and cook I want to tell something else. Me and my lady was on a date night. The place we was sat had water dripping from the ventalation unit the was over our table. Before we could notify anyone a member of management I guess seen the issue and fix the problem very quickly. I was impressed because as long as I've been going out to eat places this has never happened. Ever. On top of that our server was very polite and attentive. We never asked for anything. Being a server over 10 yrs she did this I would normally do for a customer. And then it cook/chef was funny. 1st time I have laughed the whole time they were at the table. We have a great experience.

My sister lives in the Atlanta area and for years has raved about this place. On a recent visit that encompassed both her birthday and mine, decided to visit here with two of her friends. We were seated in the bar area because the main dining space was so busy. It was not crowded but floors needed sweeping, and tables needed to be cleared. It was 15 mins of trying to flag the waiter down just to get water to start. He finally took our orders, but the food took forever, as did our drinks and repeated requests to get staff attention were ignored. When our food came out, my wings had a sauce on them that was pretty disgusting. Shrimp in all if our shrimp fried rice was highly overcooked and my sister's drink very clearly had no alcohol in it. We ended up sending most of it back and leaving because when my sister went over to talk to the manager (who had been standing in the entryway laughing and talking with some employees the whole time), the woman had attitude and was generally nonchalant about our bad experience. I paid just over $30 (no tip) for the sushi that was right and my alcoholic beverage. But would definitely not go back.

My cook was super cool, I took someone here for their first time and they ready to go back. I really wish they had steak sauce though. Wait time wasn't long and besides having to sit with strangers they liked the experience.

I love ❤ hibachi! Nothing like every thing cooked fresh 😋 in front if you. We ordered the 6 course trio. The chef was amazing and very interactive with us, but forgot our appetizers, but the whole dinner was amazing. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately 😕 he forgot our tea and dessert 🍨.

First and foremost the young lady taking Togo orders, did not have on a bra. Secondly, I paid for an 12oz shrimp fried rice which was packaged in a different container this time so I don’t even know if I got the correct amount and they gently placed 6 shrimp on top. I wonder how many shrimp come in a 6 ounce. I spent $202 and was told I could only have two yum yum sauce. But if I dine in, it’s unlimited. Needless to say Atlanta makes everything horrible.

Have not been here in years. A lot of what makes this place good depends on which chef you get. Had 7:00 pm reservation, didn't get seated until 7:45,so we hung in the bar while waiting. We were there for 2 hours and 45 minutes, way too long in my opinion. Chef was ok, nothing special. Food was average, I had the trio of shrimp, chicken and filet. Fried rice was actually pretty good, onions and Squash were same soup was really good. Shrimp was good, chicken was dry, steak was tender but not great. Probably won't go back unless with a group and they want to go.

The service sucks! We were seated over an hour past our reservation time. We waited another 45minutes for the cook. Server stated they were short staffed which was obvious because I only saw three cooks and two servers. The cook was arrogant. Shrimp and vegetables were over cooked, Filet mignon was dry (cooked refused to use garlic butter when asked). Paid over $300 for poor service and four over cooked, under seasoned entrees and appetizers. I tipped simply out of respect. However, I will not return to this location.

Benihana is a staple in Atlanta and I remember coming here waaaaaaaaay back in High School/College. First time back in a number of years and I have to say I’m extremely disappointed. Make “reservations” for 2:45 on a Wednesday, got there about 2:40 but we weren’t seated till after 3pm. About 20 Hibachi tables in the dining room, 7-8 (including our group) had people sitting in them. Only two chefs working on the Hibachi grills, later joined by a third. Interior where we are was nice, but the bathroom floor was sticky, there were no paper towels, and there was a large dead roach outside the building near at the entrance. After we were seated it was 15 minutes to order drinks and then the soups and salads didn’t come till about 4pm. Our chef came at 4:12 and right after the sushi that was ordered about an hour previous came out. We mentioned the wait to the server and she was apologetic and stated she was working 4 of the 8 or so tables. Our chef was pretty good, started cooking about 4:15 and had everything served to us by 4:40. Servers were very nice and friendly. Meal tasted good, but I couldn’t enjoy it after the long wait.

The restaurant could use some updating. However, the food was amazing to-go. I got the chicken and shrimp meal for one with fried rice and the garlic butter is a must. The vegetables were tender and the salad was fresh. The customer service I received from take-out orders was phenomenal and everyone I seen come after were greeted and taken care of promptly.

I haven’t visited a Benihana in years. What I have noticed is significant price increases and lower quality food. We came in on the 23rd of December and ordered the holiday drink, see pics as I’ve forgot the name. It was a drink that included pomegranate. It took forever to get the drink and when we asked, we were told they had run out of pomegranate juice and someone was going to the Publix to get it…. Why not just offer us another drink choice? We were offered no discounts due to the inconvenience and our drink finally arrived after we had just about finished our meal. This just makes me want to just go to the Kobe and other hibachi restaurants instead of going back here. To pay those type of prices doesn’t make sense. Our server was excellent and they were short chefs so we waited a while for our food to be prepared. And it should of been explained to each customer that during the holidays there is no lunch menu. So many customers were complaining about finding out after the fact.

I would have given 5 stars ⭐️ but ,, I cannot.. 1st time visit to this area.. 2min away from where I stay.. 1stly: Called around 4pm to reserve a table for 2 . We were given 8pm.. cool we walked got there around 7:45 okay.. Alright we got to a long line and we thought 💭 these are walk-ins,.. but not..everyone had a reservation, cool we waited waited waited for an hour to get to the table.. Finally when we make it there .. We were with people we don’t know were loud as h**l.. Our server and Chef was great… Food was okay.. Good portion. My Question is why would a Hostess accept so much reservations at the same time ? And not tell you what to expect when you make your reservation.. So unprofessional and act so stressed out when we waiting at the door.. You knew about servers and Chefs you had in a day.. when we call why you take reservations as everything is fine.. Who wanna eat dinner at 11:00pm?? 🤦🏾‍♀️ Definitely will go again but sit at the bar..

Our reservation was at 5:30, it was approx 6:15 before we were seated. The woman's bathroom was filthy. They had no plum wine They had no sherbet (5th course) The food portions seemed skimpy especially the veggies. The price has skyrocketed. The rising sun lemon drop was delicious. KP was a great server. And Leo the chef was entertaining.

My waitress kept forgetting stuff. I ordered chicken hibachi and a lobster tail but she forgot my lobster tail. I did all that waiting and paid all that money just to get half of what I asked for. The couple next to me had to remind her about their water three times. After reminding her twice about his coke and waiting for about 10 minutes, my fiancé just got up to get his own. Very disappointing.

This was my first time at Benihana. I was excited at the anticipation of eating my favorite cuisine. The greeters were polite and pretty. We got a table one hour after our reservation due to technical issues. ( We had to ask twice before being told what the hold up was) Unfortunately, some of our party could no longer wait and left. The menus are very nice. The server was polite but took a very long time to bring our drinks. I was upset that mine wasn't fixed as I asked. The chef was good except, he made no effort to be entertaining much to our disappointment, especially after seeing and hearing other chefs really putting on a show. My salad came with carrots, although the server and I discussed my allergies. The server did bring another salad and iced tea, correctly after a while. The chef explained things to us but he was unintelligible. We had to ask for the birthday souvenir 4x and it was not the one we registered for. My grandson wasn't happy about that. All in all, the food was great, but updated training may be beneficial to the staff. I will try again and hopefully be able to give a more positive review.

It took approximately 30 minutes for us to be served when we arrived, but our exceptional chef, Chris, went above and beyond to entertain us and ensure we had a fantastic experience. Although the ambiance may be a bit unconventional, I highly recommend requesting Chris as your chef; he guarantees a fun and delicious meal.

Set reservation for 6:30, but then we were early, so changed reservation to 5:30pm. Google had other ideas and we were a few minutes late too our reservation. Not a problem, they got my wife and I in when we walked in. Took our drink and app orders and then we waited. It was a little long, but honestly, it wasn't too long, spent some time chatting and before we knew it the chef was there. It probably was about 30-40 minutes from when we sat down to the chef getting there. It seems like a long time as i write, but between drinks, appetizers, soups, salads, it didn't feel like a long time at all. I have read a few reviews that state it's all about the chef you get, and I guess I would say that Chef Chris was awesome. He put on a great show. Showed off his Chef of the year badge which was a nice little tidbit. He was definitely a performer, which was nice to see while he cooked. The food was good, the service was awesome. Not only was the chef great, but our server, Mama K is what I think she went by, she was amazing. Staying on top of our drinks, and catering the chefs requests as well. I have seen a few complaints about price, and, if it wasn't my birthday dinner, I wouldn't normally eat in a place where the average cost is about $60 per person. However, it was worth every bit of it. Overpriced? Probably not for Atlanta... For where I live in the middle of nowhere Georgia? Of course it's overpriced, but it's not there, it's in ATLANTA. It's all relative. My only complaint, if I had one, is that the seating is a little tight. We were short 1 person at our cooking station and it still felt tight. So, just keep that in mind when you go, party of 8 is going to feel cramped, but that was the max number of people that fit at the table I was at.

The hostess was phenomenal and the waitstaff was also..The food was outstanding and fresh...But the restaurant itself needs a deep cleaning starting with the restrooms, bar area and the grills need to be thoroughly cleaned daily & nightly I could see grease residue all over it..Best date night I've had in a while..

Honestly a good atmosphere, our server was nice, the food was ok, and overall it was very clean including the bathrooms. Otherwise the food was pricey, the portions were small, and a long wait time for food preparation and serving. Listed below were some of their appetizers: soy sauce, sushi, salad, and mushroom 🍄 soup. Conclusion: I have spent less money and gotten more food :(

I had reservations here on 07.04.22 at 6pm for my 23rd birthday dinner. As soon as you enter you are greeted with warm friendly faces. The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate myself and my 6 month old son. The chef was professional and very nice! The food was a 10/10! I ordered the hibachi steak with fried rice (steak medium well) along with a strawberry lemonade and it was all cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend them and will be back soon!

For starters, they seated me very quickly, and I did not have any problems with my reservation. Fabulous! I ordered the hibachi supreme. Unfortunately, my steamed rice was left out and I did not get any vegetables at first. I did remind the server and got my rice and it seems as though they gave me extra vegetables from everyone else when it actually came with the meal. I honestly must say for a first time eating here, I was not overly impressed however the châteaubriand was medium well and cooked perfectly. The lobster was slightly rubbery, but nice for hibachi with the yum yum sauce. Everything was tasty but not worth $64 with a tip they didn’t deserve.

I was nervous after reading so many negative reviews. But my partner and I had a really pleasant experience! Service was slow but the staff was friendly and professional. The food was delicious. The building is old, a little dirty, and outdated, but everything else was fine. Overall we had a nice dinner here.

We made a reservation at 5:45 and we were not seated until 6:45. After we sat down, our server came and took our drink order. Two people in our party asked what kind of beer they had and she listed a few and she said there were more listed on a different menu. She went to get the other menu and it was another 15 minutes before she came back to take therest of our order. The soup came out Luke warm. The salad came out 20 minutes later and then new soup was brought over. We didn’t have any utensils so someone from our party went and got us straws and utensils. I went up to And bar twice to ask for water. Our food was salty, peppery and so greasy. We asked for the yum yum sauce and our chef said he didn’t have any containers to put the sauce in. I asked for it again and he just passed around the container and the guests who wanted the sauce poured some onto their plates and passed the container around the table. The bathrooms were not taken care of and I told the front desk that they needed attention and when I went to get water the second time he said, “but we cleaned the bathroom for you.” The manager did come by to ask us how the food was. Some said the food was fine, others complained about the pepper and grease.

We had a reservation at 7pm and weren't seated until a bit after 8pm. Drinks were rarely refilled, empty plates never taken away. The chef show is fun but it's overpriced for what you get compared to similar places. They rely on being the original place for hibachi shows while service is very lacking.

My first time eating at Benihana, I had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, there was a "wait," as it's policy to try and have your table full for the eating experience. After about twenty minutes, we were greeted with a chef who got us fed immediately, lol. Everyone from our server, the floor manager, and the hostesses were kind, professional, and overall delightful in our interactions. The food was good, a little too much sodium for me, but I would eat here again and request light on the seasonings, next time I'm in Atlanta.

Had reservations for 8:15pm. Didn’t get seated til 9:05 after the reservation. Once we were seated we waited another hr til the chef came to our table. The server was fairly consistent but it took 30mins to get water. But the chef Eric did a amazing job that kinda made up for the time we were waiting. Make sure y’all request him. This restaurant was awful!! For the prices, this is absolutely horrific. The ladies' restroom was dreadful it appeared that the bathroom hadn't been sanitized or disinfected within an 8 hour shift, the. paper towels holders were all broken. With the club across the street, the atmosphere has turned into a spot for the young and ghetto.

It took 30min for us to get are appetizers and 45min for the cook to come and not to mention the roof was leaking water that they moped over people. My fork was also dirty and had food in the fork still. Too expensive to have to deal with all of that. I will never be back.I only give it one star because we had a nice cook
