BE AWARE! 20% IS ADDED TO TAKE OUT ORDERS AUTOMATICALLY.Wow!!! New menu is sooo much better than the old one . Fettuccine Alfredo is amazing! A very special place with wonderful food and ambiance. Can't come here enough. Had the salmon. It was amazing! I love this place and highly recommend it.

Extremely disappointed. We were so excited to come in and try Sotto Sotto, but unfortunately had a terrible dining experience. We waited 45 minutes for our entrees to hit the table. They BOTH came out borderline cold and without the protein they should of came with. BOTH dishes were extremely uncooked..the pasta was hard. I ordered my entree with chicken, and they brought it out with a peice of chicken the size of a quarter. My fiances entree (clam dish) came out with empty shells. It's almost like they just threw empty shells in as a garnish. It wasn't even like the clams separated when cooking..they were no where to be found in the dish. The manager came over and had no solution. They took the entrees off the bill in the end, but never once did anyone offer us something on the house or even a dessert. We left hungry which should never happen at as a diner. The valet tried over charging us too which we ended up catching him in a lie. I will say our server was professional and kind. He mentioned he was new. He also mentioned the chef was off today and the sous were running the kitchen. I was expecting more from management being our first time there and being it was our anniversary. The best part of our meal was the salad and antipasta. I hate leaving reviews like this, but I needed to speak up on this situation so the GM and executive chef can see it.

I was grateful that they were able to seat us without a reservation which is apparently a feat on a Friday night on Highland Avenue... It reminded me of a cool little spot in Aspen, just warm and cozy. Service was excellent. Drinks were pretty good. I found the ravioli to be a bit greasy and the papperdelle to be too much on one note. Overall, a very nice date night spot.

This restaurant was lovely. It’s beautifully decorated. It has a great ambiance for a date. Our server, Omar was wonderful. The risotto with balsamic vinegar was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return for more delicious Italian food. The bread pudding was great too.

We had dinner here a few days ago and came as a group. We ordered many of the dishes on the menu as well as asked for advice on wines. The staff was very accommodating with our requests. The food was great and the pasta were delicious. we really enjoyed the scallops and the pasta with Buratta. I would come back again soon!

Our waiter was so friendly and sweet and our food came out rapidly! It was all soooo tasty - we had the caprese salad and it came with bread and olive oil. We also got the lasagnette and the fungi pasta.

We had Sotto Sotto on our list of places to check out when in Atlanta and it didn't disappoint. The service was warm and welcoming. The food was excellent and the drinks 😇 were delicious. Great options for vegetarians too. They had ample seating but we decided to get cozy in a corner of the bar. We also liked how the manager checked in and made us feel welcomed.

Disappointed by what could be a very good dining experience. Visited with 3 couples. Service seemed entitled and food came out at cool temperatures. For a place in this high demand you would think they would have their isht together and not bring out 3 out of the 8 plates ordered cold (different courses). Waiter was unattentive and wasnt very accommodating. Reservations had us waiting another 20 mins. It potentially could be a great experience because of the quality of food, but for the price and reputation they should do much better on the delivery.

TLDR: Spend your money somewhere else. This place is not worth it. Cold pasta and brittle bread. Cheesecake Factory is better than this. Long version: We went here for an occasion. When we reached the front desk, it took them good 5-7 minutes for someone to even bother asking if we were helped. We get seated and it takes the server 15 minutes to even provide us water. We order our food and surprise surprise, the one of the pastas were too tarty and sour and both of them were lukewarm already. They were cold in about 3 minutes of being on the table. It just ruined the whole experience and wasn’t even worth it. There’s 10 other good Italian restaurants in town. Wouldn’t recommend taking chances here.

Very upscale Italian restaurant in Atlanta! We ordered the Cacio de Pepe, Fettuccine Alfredo, Tagliatelle ai Funghi, and the Caesar Salad. We were pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes, which were more than plentiful, and the flavors! The pasta was cooked to a perfect aldente, and we were very happy with our order!

This has been one of my favorite shots in Atlanta for years, I don't know why I'm just now reviewing it but I come here so often I owe them one. My wife and I LOVE having romantic nights here. My favorite dish is the deceivingly named Ravioli Nudi which is actually spinach gnocchi. My second favorite, conveniently my wife's favorite, is the Risotto Mantecato. It's a plain risotto with a balsamic dressing that is glorious in its simplicity. When we're extra hungry, we order a Paccheri alla Calabrese. The sauce is hearty, and the sun dried tomatoes are INSANELY delicious. The pasta in this dish is pretty al dente, sometimes a little too chewy for me but never a game stopper. Oh don't forget the amazing bar! They make one of the best martinis in town, and have a great wine list. All their employees are super knowledgeable on pairing as well! Can you tell this is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta?!

Sotto Sotto was a great experience at Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta. The staff were really attentive and provided great suggestions. The Carpaccio as an appetizer really set the stage, especially accompanied by nice Sicilian wine. The main course was delicious with plentiful portions. The lasagnette meal seem to "grow on you" with every bite. My spouse had a pasta with a wide variety of mushrooms that was equally delicious. Although the portions were plentiful, we finished every bite. To top it all off, the Panacotta for dessert was perfect. The cost was on par with the quality you'd expect for what you are paying. We would definitely return here again.

Excellent service and, in general, good food, though inconsistent. With the risotto ai frutti di mare, with some exception (see below), seasoning was excellent, though the rice was slightly undercooked. Moreover, while the calamari was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were way over cooked and clams were just dreadfully off. Further, there were a couple of slaty bites. It was just all over the place. The tagliata di manzo, on the other hand, was simply amazing. Perfect temp, wonderfully seasoned and the greens balanced out the steak perfectly! I’ll definitely return and give it another go.

I will be back!! This restaurant is soo cute and intimate. Great for a date night or even a group dinner. The service was quick and prompt given how busy they were. Our waiter, Kevin (I think) was very kind and offered many recommendations. He was very attentive and made the experience great. Apps came out extremely fast and were sooo delicious. Get the ‘risotto mantecato’ and caesar salad. I’ll be more adventurous the next time around :). I ordered the ‘Costoletta di Vitello’. It was my first tying veal and I wasn’t disappointed. The au ju was great and loved the mushrooms. Also, had a side order of ‘Fettuccine Alfredo’ and it was delicious. Everyone else also seemed to enjoy all of their meals. The lovely day cocktail was tasty! Overall, I love finding an Italian gem. You can find free valet parking behind the building. Make sure to bring your valet ticket in and your waiter will validate!!

We LOVE Sotto Sotto and I have been trying to make time to write a review since NYE. My wife and I live in Raleigh but she found Sotto Sotto while living in Atlanta after college. We’ve been enjoying meals there at every opportunity for the last twenty years, and it has become part of our New Year’s Eve tradition when in ATL. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, food, service, drinks, etc. On NYE 2023 we had the opportunity to meet the owner when he brought white alba truffles to our table and made the magic happen as he shared his love for his craft with us. After meeting him, it just made sense why things are always run so well. He is intense in a good way and his passion comes through. Everything we ate that night was exceptional, and the wines we paired with the food were superb. Mike was great at helping with wine selection and Richard was attentive throughout the meal. We had a time constraint and asked them to accelerate our food, which they did. Richard also helped us get takeaway pizza from Fritti, their sister restaurant next door, for our post concert snack after we rang in 2024. Afterwards, Steffen was quick to follow up and make sure we enjoyed the experience, which is an extra touch you just don’t see very often nowadays. We missed seeing Jimmy who has always made us feel like valued guests, but the team didn’t miss a beat. As testament to our love of Sotto Sotto we are squeezing in a Valentines Day meal next month during an overnight flight layover on my wife’s birthday weekend!

I love this place. The scallops were some of the best I’d ever had - so unique and the pasta (duck ragu) was amazing. You can do up to 4 half portion entrees (with a couple of exceptions) per table so you can try different items. Our table also got the chicken which had incredibly crispy skin, and some other pasta dishes. The Michelangelo received rave reviews. The caramel gelato was a perfect ending. The wine list is all Italian wines only so it’s not an extensive wine list but there’s definitely something everyone can enjoy. Our waitress was wonderfully helpful, attentive, and so bubbly and fun. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to go back!

The portions are not huge but the food and service is fantastic. We didn’t get to sit out on the patio but it looked really pretty out there. This is a great Italian spot!!

One of the best Italian restaurants at Atlanta. The pasta and mascarpone dessert are really good and the bartender is fun. Really professional Italian coffee from Victoria machine.

I took my husband for his birthday because he has a particular thing for house-made pasta, and there was not a single detail to be disappointed about here. Pictured: Aviation (purple cocktail); antipasti misto, some righteous bead served with quality olive oil, beef carpaccio and Lovely Day (yellow cocktail); risotto ai frutti del mar. All absolutely spectacular. We will definitely be back.

I don’t think I’ve ever had two $60 entrees that were quite so bad. Weird experience, in that the salad and second course were great. But the veal Parmesan was part crispy and part mush. The steak came out blue the first time, the restaurant apologized, brought it back and apologized again because it had already been cut up by the kitchen. Granted, they did offer to cook an entirely new steak, but that would have been “ten minutes” and this is already ten minutes after the dish first hit the table. Some pieces were almost well done. Others were still rare, if I’m being generous. Made a point to tell the waiter these two pieces of meat don’t belong on the same plate. He acknowledge that, then tried to distance himself from the “kitchen” because he “doesn’t see the food before it comes out.” The kitchen was so slow we didn’t have time for dessert, and they took one glass of wine off the bill (mind you, the markup on their wine is easily more than 4x, so this is like them eating $5). Pretty infuriating experience, with apologies for mess-ups being dropped left and right, and then full-freight on the botched entrees. Won’t be back. And will tell others to avoid.

The vibe is real romantic and calm. I had the mussels for appetizers, and the mushroom and cream sauce (Tagliatelle ai funghi) for my main course. I also paired it with 2 glasses of wine. The mussels were mediocre, no real flavor and small pieces of mussel in each, I could have passed on this. My main dish, the Tagliatelle ai funghi was great! Good portion size and full of flavor and different types of mushrooms (Oyster and Enoki). The only real con is trying to figure out the parking lol. My bill came up to $76. Overall I’d go back to try different pasta’s but it would have to been for something meaningful being that my mussels were okay.

9/20/22: Had the burrata and tomato, Caesar salad, beet salad, mussels, bread and olive oil, and the paparadelle with duck ragu. All were pretty good. The paparadelle noodle was a nice and thin but a bit more rubbery and less chewy than I prefer. The ragu sauce was good, shredded rather than ground duck. Between the white chocolate bread pudding and dolce al marscapone, the former was better I think.

Some of the best Italian food I’ve had, it’s certainly named one of the top 20 Italian restaurants in the country for a reason! All of the pasta was perfectly cooked and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. We thought there was a great variety on the menu, and the pappardelle with the duck ragu was our personal favorite. Smaller portions and a bit pricey but worth it for the quality!

Love Sotto Sotto. Always a great experience when I dine. Very cozy space that’s a great place to meet friends for dinner and drinks. I love all the Risottos, but the Risotto ai Funghi is my favorite. Try the Lovely Day cocktail- even if you don’t consider yourself a gin person- it’s delicious.

This place is excellent. Our only issue was the host. They "lost" our reservation (even though I saw it on the screen). I think they must have overbooked or something, but they didn't want to admit any fault. A bit annoying. Once they seated us, the service and food was wonderful. Our server was generous with his knowledge of the menu and helpful. All our dishes were fantastic.

Wow!! I can’t say enough great things! And we made a reservation for a patio table and it was romantic and phenomenal. Harmon was our waiter and he gave us phenomenal recommendations on food and wine. The pasta was delicious and service was amazing. Would 10 out of 10 recommend!!

Absolutely one of the best meals I have had in a long time! Fantastic wine list, great cocktails and superb service, and staff! Our server was particularly wonderful and joyful. Sorry, I can not remember your name. Forgive me! Your cocktail & wine suggestions were spot on!

This place is such a gem! I ordered the Paccheri alla Calabrese which was to die for. Perfectly spicy with a freshly made burrata ball on top to balance it out. The atmosphere was great - very relaxing and definitely a great date spot! Their menu has lots to choose from - I wish I could come back here a million times to try more!

they were busy on a Saturday night so we ended up taking advantage of the full-service bar instead of waiting for a table and had a great experience all around. Morgan and Caroline at the bar were amazing! Morgan provided excellent recommendations on wine pairings, entrees, and dessert. we had a great time!! thanks again Morgan & Caroline

Service, food, wine, atmosphere, and overall quality is incredibly exceptional. I’ve dined here for many years and met regulars who’ve been coming here for 20 years! WOW. And they always have nice things to say. My friends came in from NYC and had a grand time. Our table was approached by several different waitstaff dropping off food, refilling water/wine. It was nice. We decided to share all 6 courses and try it all, did not leave disappointed. You MUST add anchovies on the Caesar! It’s life changing, we got extra for the table. The polletto al limone was one of the best chicken dishes I’ve ever had and the steak was tender. We had 3 bottles of wine for our table, a sparkling rose, the gattinara 100% Nebbiolo and a 2012 Valpolicella Superiore Dal Forno. I appreciate knowing the food is of great organic quality, but the continuous kindness and service from the entire staff is what keeps me coming back. Do not let these other reviews keep you from trying this place for yourself. There are many about a completely different restaurant in Canada. Cheers!

I enjoyed dinner at Sotto Sotto on a Monday night! The ambiance was nice, though the tables are very close together if you sit on the back wall. My friend and I had the Tagliatelle ai Funghi (mushroom and cream sauce) and Pappardelle al Sugo d’Anatra (braised duck ragu sauce)! The mushroom dish was bomb, so amazing, lite, and so flavorful. The cream sauce was sooo good and trying new mushrooms was an experience. The braised duck pasta was decent, a new flavor for me, but not my favorite. The duck was juicy and tender though! I definitely want to go back and try other pastas as I can tell that Sotto Sotto strives to impress with each dish.

Nice spot for dinner with girlfriends. Great wine choices and drinks. Food was pretty good. We shared several dishes. The risotto was my favorite and the spinach gnocchi was good too.

I ordered a tagliolini al pomodoro fresco which is a very simple dish and I have to say it was incredible. The most delicious pasta I have tasted. The restaurant was very trendy and it is in a great location. Walking distance from some great places like Barcelona Atlanta and Vinoteca wine shop. Highly recommended it!

Had dinner here last night and it was fantastic! We tried the tortelli di michelangelo buonarroti (must try), fettuccini Alfredo, and the seafood risotto. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We had an awesome waiter who was friendly and fast. The only thing that I would skip in the future was the bread pudding for dessert, it was a little bit dry. Come for the pasta and the service, maybe try something different for dessert.
