The falls are amazing if you’re coming through this area by all means please pull over and take 20 minutes to visit these false I’m here 170 steps text you to a beautiful viewing angle great for family photos in Southeast the local area also the local stop also has restrooms and information about the park great place to stop for lunch with ample parking for cars and about 12 RVs enjoy the falls without getting wet from a safe viewing angle this park is also great to give your four-legged friend a little walk but be sure to keep them leashed have a wonderful time at

Fishing in a kayak is recommended. It’s a hard paddle up, but once you get to the slack water on the left side of the dam the fishing is pretty good. Fishing from shore is crowded and not very productive. It’s the same on the fishing platform. The dog park isn’t anything special and folks often times let there dogs run loose in the river and don’t pick up after them along the bank (watch where you step). I’ve floated down from here to the paces mill boat ramp. It’s a long float with a few low spots and maybe 3-4 spots of rocks/rapids that you should be careful around. On weekends in the summer you’ll run into many tubers and kayakers the closer you get to paces mill. I’d recommend bringing a cooler with water, snacks, and beer!

This was my pups first time at a dog park. He absolutely loved it! The lake has tons of entryways if your pup wants to get his 🐾 wet! Clean and friendly environment.

What an awesome place for your pup to run around and play with other dogs! It's usually not busy in the morning, but I heard it gets busy after work.

The dog park is nice and basic. However, you need to bring water & water bowl for your dogs. They have no water fountains or bathrooms on the doggy side.

Clean, well taken care of. Plenty of parking available even if it gets crowded. Lots of areas to walk around. Has access to a somewhat long trail that goes through the woods and then along the river. No parking fees. Has a few large swings with good river views.

Very peaceful & spacious area. I like that there is entry to the water and a nearby boat ramp. There's plenty of space to picnic, fish or chill in the different dog park areas. There is also a decent amount of parking too! I will be revisiting for more sunset photos & relaxing!

Morgan Falls River Park is a small park in Sandy Springs with playground for children and nice river/lake views at north end and dog park with separate entrances for dogs one for dogs less than 25 lb and one for dogs more than 25 lb at southern end which has river and dam view. Between the two ends of the park sides on the side there is a hilly area with relatively short trail given the distance between the two parts of park is small. Each side of the park has its own parking area. It is a beautiful but small park. Maybe good for families with children, or people with dogs. The trail is too short for hikers.

Smaller dog park with plenty of parking. As with most dog parks it is sectioned off for smaller and larger dogs. Unlike most dog parks, there is NO WATER. There are water bowls, but no hose or spicket to refill the bowls, so you need to bring your own. The good thing is, your dogs don't leave muddy. The bad thing is, your dogs leave thirsty after running and playing hard, which is not great. There are only a couple of obstacles for the dogs to play on and again it's not very big. The gate locks are also a little tricky. It's a fine dog park if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

I really like the park complex and the dog park that over looks the river and damn. Very dog friendly and family park area. I take my dachshunds there as much as I can.

Some people act a little higher class and ask a lot of questions about where you live and such but as long as you let it breeze off 90% of people just wish to have a good time! The park is wide and clean lots of grass and water dishes if you forget your own.

It's a small park with many fun things to do.. They rent kayaks and inner tubes to enjoy the Chattahoochee River. It is located on a beautiful overlook of the river and has many many bench swings for an outdoor conversation time. It offers 2 great hiking trails where you are immersed in the forest exploring trees and birds along the way. If you like to grill it has 2 big grills for a big gathering of good food. A nice modern playground for the kids to explore as well.

A beautiful place to bring the little kids as they have an awesome playground. Just a little further down by the river is plenty of spots for fishing.

This park is great for my dog, she likes to play a little bit rougher and not everyone is on the same page in many dog parks. I feel like people with the same kind of dogs found each other in Morgan Falls. Scenery is outstanding, too, and there is always an option for walking or hiking as Plan B

  • 5/5 Joshua B. 1 year ago on Google
You can put your kayak in here and float/paddle all the way to Paces Mill boat ramp ($5 parking fee). It's about 6hrs of floating to do the trip. The water is great and there's even a small cliff to jump off into the river downstream.

  • 5/5 Ann B. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice dog park! There are two areas for dogs depending upon size. Large area next for both of them. It was a nice quiet place tucked back in some neighborhoods.

Nice little dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs. The water from the dam is a nice backdrop. Most people who go here are friendly with friendly dogs.

Nice area. But there was no place we could see for water for the dogs. Plus the powerlines aren't the greatest. But decent enough if you bring your own water.

  • 4/5 Nicole O. 5 months ago on Google
No trails. Pretty view from the side of the river, big trees around to sit and read a book. You get to see the hydro plant construction from here. Dog park for both small and big doggos.

No trails to walk around. Pretty view of the river, but having the electric towers making that noise right over you the whole time is scary. Also, it's really apart from everything, they could've put the doggie park closer to the Overlook park

I liked it and will take our dog asap. So nice and quiet, considering it's near Ga 400 and Highway 9 in heavy populated Sandy Springs, in front of Moragan Falls damn. Great way to wear ur dog ut while you unwind!

Such a beautiful park with an awesome playground and hiking trail! Gorgeous views. Please don't close the playground again. Quit buying into this hype. Our kids need fresh air and places to play!

The park is okay but the dam view is good.

  • 4/5 Jason L. 3 years ago on Google
Good place to drop in for kayaking then ride down to Paces boat ramp. At the top of the dam you can also drop in to go up river. It's usually shallow enough to walk on as well. There's a popular jumping rock justt as mile or so from the dock. Plenty of places to pull over as well.

  • 5/5 Chakravarthy G. 4 years ago on Google
This location so peaceful and view is nice. The best part of all is it is very near to Atlanta. The overlook park has required parking. The only issue is we have to be extremely careful with kids as there is no fencing around the water bed. So more chances to getting drowned if we reach near to the shore. There is a dog park which is quite good with a fencing and also a sitting area with in the park for dog owners. There is also a entrance for fishing boats if you already has the permit for fishing.

  • 4/5 Renaldo G. 3 years ago on Google
Nice place! Plenty of trails and places for kids to play. Just be aware that hardly anyone was wearing a mask or social distancing.

2 large sized dog park areas with shaded and unshaded bench areas. It's great to stick your feet in the water for a minute. Beautiful scenery

  • 5/5 Cristian G. 3 years ago on Google
It's a beautiful place neatly placed next to a public park. A nice scenery with the pleasant rush of water is peaceful. Nice fishing spot if you have a weight, since the water is strong. Also a smaller area beyond the gates at the back of the area, where you can enter the water or fish. Overall, it makes for a nice public area.

We spent nearly 1 hrs here. We took some snack foods, sat there and did small fun picnic with kids. ☺️ There is good dog park as well, clearly separated for both small and big dogs. Dog owners might get like it.

It was clean and enjoyable. My dogs had a good time. Most dogs were friendly and interactive. Outside of the dog park you can sit along the river and or float down for 4-5 hours to Cochran Shoals/Powers Ferry.

  • 5/5 Luke O. 3 years ago on Google
A nice place to go if you want to just check out electric dam or go fishing. And again they do have a dog park with two separate areas one for dogs under 25 lb and one for larger dogs over 25 lb.

This is my dog's favorite park. It's not as crowded as other nearby ones, has grass and dirt instead of the astroturf. Plus with the river and falls right there it's a great place to sit and read my book while my pup plays.
