Really great park. Has pool (pay to enter), tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment and paved and non-paved walking trails. There's a pretty creek that runs thru it. Not really accessible to play in or anything, but a couple of bridges cross it with lovely views. Picnic pavilion and benches convenient to sit and watch little ones play on the playground. Will definitely go back.

Lovely park with some very nice spaces. Has baseball field with Pavilion, dog park, large open field Great for party games, two Pavilion areas one larger than other, playground, bathrooms, and wooded trails. Creek runs through the park creating a very peaceful space. Tennis courts are available for use and you can reserve online. Limited parking in the lot.

Glenwood park is a great park for walkies for any doggone day of the week. This dog finds Glenwood park full of features any Fideo would find pupticularlly pawsome and include pools, courts with lots of balls from base to tennis.  I can fit upto 3 tennis balls in my muzz. This dog loves walkies that are shaded, interestating , and Glenwood has lots of trails to explore.  abundence of shaded benches along the path to sit along the way. More features along trailals include Bridges, and even a dog park.  Did I mention SQUURRELS! ? well squirrels a plenty along the paths here. The community seems friendly welcoming and will strike up a friendly conversation so bring your friends fuzzy and otherwise for a doggone delightful day at the park.

We found a trail that leads to a creek under a long bridge behind the cemetery that my kiddo could play in moving rocks and sticks around. Didn't see a single piece of trash!

I love this park, very well maintained with a great playground! We stopped by with the kids for a playdate on a Sunday morning and the work was lively. They have great basketball courts, tennis courts, and even a dog parl. Just another one of the many great green spaces in Atlanta.

Very busy park, great for families. Not enough parking so the city allows parking at the cemetery. There are only two bathrooms, very old, super creepy. But over all a good park

Very little parking so we had to park in the cemetery and walk over. I was a little skeptical but the kids had a great time! The whole park is a great vibe. From trails to picnic areas, you'll definitely find something to do.

Nice park in a busy neighborhood. I’d say I’ve been to parks that are maintained better and have more space, stuff for kids and adults to be busy with. This is a nice one with a play area, green space to stroll around, pavilion for gathering. We ordered some take out food and used the pavilion to enjoy it.

Recently had a memorial for a dear friend here in the large pavilion. All had a great time. Nice venue. Lots of green space for the kids to play.

Nice clean cared for picnic/play area. Crowded enough that it feels safe but not packed.

Good park. Although if people are playing basketball, cover your child's ears cuz there will be lots of foul language. Dog park is small but adequate (it's completely fenced).

I visited the park to explore the option to grill out. The post on Google needs to be corrected. There are no grills. The park itself was beautiful and there are public restrooms for one person which is far superior to the port-o-toilets near the square. The park has a nice layout with plenty of shade.

This is a pretty nice park. I have liked it since I was a kid. They have cool spinny things on the playground. It also has a creek that I like to walk in sometimes. There is a pool that that is pretty cool in the summer. The bottom of the pool is slightly squishy. After they added this my brother started calling it "squishy bottom pool" or "squishy bottom park." Overall s tier park.

I love going to this park. They have a really big field area for adults and kids. Plenty of tennis courts and a jungle gym play area for smaller to medium size kids. Did a great family workout this morning. Not to much sun was a plus.

The food and service was excellent. The portion was very sizeable and the steak was extremely delicious. I can't wait to come back again.

Urban landscape and design concepts at its finest. Trails, courts, doggy park, stream nd nature all pack in Decatur where it's greater.

Nice park. Parking lot adjacent to the park was small & full, so had to go to overflow parking. Couldn't find how to get to one of the overflow parking lots. And had to go through a cemetery to get to the 2nd overflow parking lot. But once we found it, it was just a short walk to the park. The park is very nice.

Last minute party plans, bc a kindergartener invited her class to a party that didn't exist! Mr. Lee Williams was amazing and came in clutch with the Pavilion rental. This City of Decatur Park has a playground and an open field for free play. Trails were clean and safe. We will visit again!

I love Glen Lake Park. However, before you go there, you should know that there is a white and grey doodle mix that is being let out off leash from the nearby apartments. I've been told by neighbors that this has been an issue for more than a year, that multiple complainants have been filed, but the city has not rectified the situation. The dig does not seem aggressive, but it is also not friendly. Be advised.

Absolutely great day out for young and old alike. We were a party ranging in age from 10 months to 62 years and we all really loved it. Highlights were the birds of prey display, parrots display and penguin feeding. A full day out and lots of fun!

Great park to do a whole lot. There are soccer fields, paved road circles around the park to ride bikes, a playground with swings, play structures for bigger and smaller kids, basketball courts, tennis courts, a pool, a creek, a dog park, picnic tables in a gazebo, a nearby cemetery you can stroll in, and a path to walk through the woods behind the park.

The playground area was closed due to covid-19. But the walking path is very scenic, lots of benches and tables in shaded areas. My kids and I had lunch there before they rode their scooters. They enjoyed it.

Love this place, tons of space to run and play. Could use some cleanup, I spent the whole time grabbing trash off the playground.

  • 1/5 ShareHisGlory 4 years ago on Google
Terrible. The basketball court is central and within earshot of everything, right next to the playground, so expect your children to hear constant and loud cursing as well as constant rap music with profane lyrics. If that's not your thing, steer clear. Not a moment of peace to be had. Also, trash on the ground and in Creek. It felt tllike there needed to be security, but there was none. The leaves and pinestraw hadn't been raked in a while. I guess this is Yet another mismanaged facility by DeKalb county.

Great park in the heart of Decatur. Walking trails, basketball court, dog park, tennis and a swimming pool. I enjoyed the trails. Seems quite a few people visit there but it's so big that you have peace and quiet if you need it. They have a pond too.

The park was currently closed when I arrived, there wasn't much to do there in the children's area. And the playground was dirty. Other than that, the surrounding areas were nice and kept clean. The park has plenty there to do as far as walking, tennis, swimming or even the dog park. The basketball court could use a little tlc.

As a photographer this is a very interesting small park. Park at the end of the road. I could see several very interesting photo locations immediately. A walk to the right takes you into a tunnel walkway of trees.
