DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CANNOT DISLIKE THE FOOD OR DRINK, THEY WILL NOT TAKE IT BACK. Awful catfish and grits with no taste, which was served warm. The mac and cheese was edible only followed by the pasta what required extra sauce, salt and pepper. Most of our table did not finish the meal. The hookah…we had to put the tubes it together (and we paid). Update: The checks were wrong, of course…and were still wrong! 2 guests at our table needed a mask and were CHARGED without being advised there was a cost for a mask they require and GA does not have a mask requirement. A working AC would be nice.

Tried this place out for brunch this week. Parking was only $10, anything extra was a tip. The restaurant has three different seating areas, two of which are available for patrons who want to smoke hookah. We sat in the smoking section towards the front of the building. We didn't feel super crowded even though the tables were close together, the food was great! We ordered lemon pepper wings with fries for the table. The people with me ordered honey biscuits, catfish and grits, and a waffle. I had the Cajun pasta with chicken. There wasn't anything we ordered that wasn't good. The drinks are strong and we ordered many. They have several frozen daiquiri and specialty drinks. I had the Buckhead tea and it was kinda like a long island with lemonade. The menu has the drink descriptions so you won't have much to worry about when ordering.

The food is excellent. We had the chicken and waffles and the fish and grits. Both were delicious. I look forward to trying other items on our menu. The condiments/napkins basket they give you is really helpful. This is a lovely restaurant and we are excited to come back

I read some reviews before going, and they were indeed a mixed bag. I am always searching for new places to visit, so I gave it a try. Whether or not you like it is certainly going to be left to your personal taste. Location: The location isn't bad at all and easy to get to. Parking is available behind the restaurant for $10 payable by cash or CashApp. I saw a lot of people using Uber/Lyft or parking at adjacent properties. Ambiance: The decor reminded us of an older establishment, but it was nice. The chandeliers and painted ceilings were a nice touch. The music was louder in the back of the restaurant near the parking lot than in the front near the bar. When I walked up, people were outside taking pictures and conversing. I entered to see people dancing and singing to the music, smoking hookahs, and taking pictures. Service: Our waitress was nice. When I was seated in her section, she introduced herself and stated that it was only her 2nd day, she was still learning, but would do her best. If she wouldn't have told me it was her 2nd day, I wouldn't have known. She restated the rules that had already been communicated via text with our confirmation and provided great service to us. Food: We had plasticware available to us to eat with at our table. The pictures show the honey biscuits, avocado toast, cajun pasta with salmon, and catfish & grits. I had the biscuits and pasta. No complaints on either, other than I would have liked a bit more seasoning. My friend stated that she didn't think the guacamole on her avocado toast was made in house, but it was still ok. She felt the sauce on her grits was really rich as well. Drinks: I had the long Island, which was made well. Kudos to the bartender. My friend ordered chardonnay, and was a bit disappointed that it was served to her in a plastic cup. There were not a ton of people there when we went (~4pm), so the experience was ok. As stated in the beginning, whether or not you like it is certainly going to be left to your personal taste. I would say give it a try, at least once.

When we were looking for another brunch spot, many recommended The Hive. We were told to make sure we get a reservation because they do get packed. We were lucky to get one lol. When you make your reservation, they will send a text to confirm and information regarding the restaurant. When we walked in, our table was already available, and we met our waitress right then. The Hive has a dark ember ambiance with amazing music and a nice vibe. Everyone was having a great time. Our waitress helped us with some suggestions of what we should order. Their food was amazing! The catfish was very flavorful and tender, paired well with the thick grits. My friend enjoyed her steak that was very tender and juicy. If you are looking for a relaxed brunch spot with great food in Atlanta, try The Hive.

Visited this place for the first time for Sunday brunch. The server we originally had was super slow and uninterested. I ordered the bottomless mimosa with peach. The peach was syrup that came in a small plastic cup. It had hair on it so i told the server and she literally said nothing. Not “oh so sorry, let me being another” or asked me what I would like instead. There were Several other things she failed to communicate and our party of 11 got fed up and asked the manager for another server. We ended up with Heaven and she was great. The food was really good. I had the shrimp and grits with a side of lobster tail. The grits were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Im not sure I would come back here due to the service but everyone else seemed to enjoy their food

Cheniqua is an amazing server. She provided us with so many highlights from The menu and we were able to order a variety of items. Thank you so much and we will be back soon.

Tyra was a great waitress and server, she sat down with me and went over the menu, and if she wasn’t sure about something she went to go find out. I ordered the lamb chops they were really good with a really good flavor to them, I also had the mashed potatoes and the brussels sprouts. The sides were just a little bland but everything was really good. I also had a tequila sunrise. I like that the restaurant offers a non-smoking side. They were playing good music. I didn’t like how it smelled inside though, nothing pungent or extreme but there was a scent in the air. The tip was included in my bill for one guest, and in addition to that there was a tip line on the credit card receipt even though I was already charged for it. Just a heads up

So I read the reviews and was like I hope we have a better experience than when some of these people had. So we went for brunch let me just say the atmosphere was very nice and laid back. The music they were playing was everything I jam to. Our waitress Whitney was very nice and sweet! Now to the food let me tell you that chicken was seasoned to perfection! I had to asked Whitney baby who back there cooking??? The Waffles were not to hard not too soft just right! The drinks were good. You know the food good when you dance and eat at the same time lol. I live in Newton Co but I definitely would come back. My overall experience was great I would highly recommend!

The Hive definitely passes the vibe check. Great atmosphere and great food to match! Bottomless mimosas are cheap ($35 per person) and you have the option to add a flavor. Brunch is 10/10 .. another Atlanta fav does it again!

The good wasn’t good at all! I got the lamb chops and the sauce wasn’t good, it was very salty and not to mention they were fatty. The mashed potatoes were box mashed potatoes. My friend got the steak with shrimp and the steak didn’t have any flavor and the shrimp was very over cooked. The Mac and cheese, don’t waste your time. Another friend got the salmon burger which was fried... that confused us all. It was extra dry! Let’s take that off of the menu completely. This place is probably just good for just hookah, drinks and music.

OMG this place was AMAZINGGGGG! Queen was our server and she made our experience so much more enjoyable. She recommended drinks and food and it did not disappoint. The hookah was great, the service impeccable, and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend! 5 Star experience!

I was excited to eat here. Initially, I walked in the restaurant and stood looking around for the hostess. No one greets me. I went to the bar to inquire about sitting. She told me I needed a reservation. The quirky way that you make reservations should have been a red flag to go somewhere else. We return to find that they have no system for knowing if you had a reservation if you made it the same day. I had to show confirmation. Red flag #2. The tables in the area had not been bussed. Red flag #3. Fast forward. We order. The biscuits that were order as an appetizer did not come before the meal. The waiter forgot. My Cajun pasta was lukewarm (cold). Sweet potato fries were garnished. When we asked him to bring some without garnished, he replied they are cooked to order. In other words, I don’t have any more fries that I can give you. It took awhile to get condiments. Sad thing about this all is that he still gets a 20% tip (included in the bill) and we get to take cold food home.

The server was great. The food and drinks not so much. The long Island that I paid 15 dollars for tasted like sour mix and I couldn't finish it because it was to sour. The flat bread was good however the chicken sandwich was dry. I ordered roasted chicken but they were out. The shrimp and grits was spicy we asked for extra shrimp but only had like 6 all together. A 18 percent gratuity was added automatically which I think is crazy but our server was worth it but the food wasn't.

My friend and I came into the Hive at Buckhead and was not greeted at the door politely at all a man with a small bush I didn’t get his name rudely asked us if we had a reservation we explained we tried to call numerous times but no one would answer then he cut me off to say we had to text and when I said that I tried that as well he said well we don’t have anything available and walked off fast. I’ve been here once before before Covid and service was okay and food was good but I don’t think I’ll be returning!

My food was good! I got the salmon egg rolls and the Cajun pasta. The food came out quick as well. I didn’t care for the lady with the short hair cut her energy and attitude is not the best. She needs to get that together. Dom turned this experience around completely he was so pleasant and attentive his energy is amazing. He made sure me and my girls had a good time and I appreciate him for that. Thank you Dom!!

CHARITY was amazing! My family & I came in for brunch & she was our server. She was prompt and personable. She helped up with choosing from the menu, and we were not disappointed with her recommendations. Honey biscuits are fire! The music was great, restaurant is clean; it was a vibe. We will absolutely visit again!

We went for Brunch as a family of 4. Parking is available for $10 in the back of the restaurant. The food was Delicious!!! We had the Cajun Pasta, Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles, Hive Crab Cakes, Mac and cheese side and the Avocado toast ( don’t expect avocado slices..While it tasted great, it’s more of a Guacamole toast than avocado… lol). No complaints with the taste. Our waitress was great as well. We’ll attentive despite being super busy.

I had an okay experience at The Hive. The atmosphere was decent and they were playing good R&B music. The plastic utensils threw me for a loop and that they should consider being more environmentally friendly. The chicken and waffles were made to perfection as well as the cheese grits, mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts. The portions were very good as well. One of my friends really enjoyed the catfish and grits. Unfortunately, my other friend did not enjoy her meal at all. She ordered lamb chops, which is a pretty expensive menu item. The waitress was very polite, however, she never asked how she wanted the lamb chops cooked and just assumed that she wanted them well done, but well done lamb chops have a rubbery over cooked texture and become very difficult to cut (imagine how bad this was with a plastic knife too) or even chew. She was unable to really eat her meal and they will not accommodate or reimburse customers that do not like their food. For this reason I have to deduct stars for service and food quality. Keep in mind that gratuity is automatically charged.

When I first arrived to the location the ambiance was very inviting and lively. Once my party and I were seated we were greeted by a very nice waitress that was polite and friendly. However our food took over an hour and a half to get to us and even our drinks took about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the table. I will note that I don't believe it was at any fault of the waitress but to a lack of communication in the kitchen or maybe it was too busy when we arrived even though we had reservations. Once we received our food things got better and the food taste great. Nothing was cold and everything was fresh. I have mixed feelings about leaving this review because other than the long wait time for our meal and drinks everything else was good. Maybe it was a bad day for them.

The atmosphere and music was a nice vibe. I loved their food and cocktail variety. To my surprise there wasn’t a wait to be seated. The avocado toast, crab cakes, wings on top of the chicken and waffle and omelette was good! Our server Naomi was very warm and friendly. She was also knowledgeable of the menu items and, she even suggested her favorites! I gave 4 out of 5 stars because, it appeared there was only the one server in the area where we were seated. Although our wait time wasn’t too extensive, the initial drink order was delayed a bit. The red waffle was too thick and dry. Even though there was disposable individual wrapped cutlery on the table it was missing salt and pepper to be added to the omelette ordered. The mudslide didn’t taste of mudslide but it definitely had a nice addition of vodka present

We came The Hive Buckehead for a birthday celebration tonight and the service was OUTSTANDING! The food was AMAZING 10 out of 10! My boyfriend got the red velvet chicken and waffles (his first time having that combination) and he raved about it all night. I had the catfish and grits with a side of Brussels sprouts and everything was seasoned to perfection. Everyone in our party commented on how delicious and flavorful our food was and the portions were impressive. The drinks were perfection and the bartender was not stingy. Our server Jas handled our very large party of 12 with class, patience and professionalism. She was an absolute delight and we look forward to coming back again.

Food was subpar at best! Seemed like mostly frozen prepackaged meals. The service was decent but not great with the amount of people in the establishment. Love to support small businesses but want to feel like I’m not just waisting my money. Would not recommend and will not be back.

Our food was amazing. We got the bananas fosters French toast and shrimp and grits…perfect! Eliza was our waitress and she was very sweet, attentive, and informative. She confirmed ingredients with the chef per our request and ensured we were satisfied from time we sat down until we got our check. I’d definitely return for the food, service and music. It seems like a great spot for the high school musical crowd (restaurant actually broke out in song more than once). If you are looking for a super quiet/chill spot, this might not be for you.

Today I met a friend at the restaurant because he had seen the IG page and thought the food would be great. He made the reservation, via text message to a number as the website instructed, but we never received a confirmation or reply. We decided to just show up and hope it was reserved. Upon entering from the front, there was no sign or person to greet you so you're just standing there as servers continuously walk by ignoring you. After stopping a server to ask about seating, I was instructed to talk to a host walking across the room who was able to seat us. Our server was nice, but it took over an hour to get our entrees, chicken and red velvet waffles and the shrimp alfredo pasta. It wasn't even busy in the restaurant. The food was hot, but not anything I feel I would recommend returning to try. The entrees were overpriced on their menu as well. Even after waiting over an hour for our food, we still paid the full price, plus an automatic 20% gratuity for each person. I don't plan to return after this experience.

Food was prepared well and looked great on the plate. Presentation was great and tasted as such. A good amount of space and seating was comfortable. Food took a minute despite not many people being there at the time. The only real problem is that the establishment wouldn't change the music they were playing. We had some softer ears in our party and the music was rated R. The experience was good enough for me to come back and try more of the menu!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to The Hive Buckhead. The food and drinks were delicious. The Salmon egg rolls and Peach Be Still alcoholic beverage were BOMB! 10 outta 10...chef's kiss. Sanaa was our waitress. Amazing service, music, just a vibe. I'll definitely be back.

The food was immaculate. The hostess was great, and the server was nice. She worked fast, and (Jenelle) was very attentive and accommodating. The doors of the place wasn’t opened at the “open time” and it took about 20 minutes before they actually opened the door. The only thing I did not like was being flagged down about an unknown dress code. I wore slides and another employee flagged me down as I was going to the restroom and asked very rudely if I had any other footwear. For someone visiting for the first time this was not only embarrassing, because she was loud about it, it was very off putting. I feel had she politely said something along the lines of “hey, xyz are the rules, but seeing as it’s your first time, for future reference please dress accordingly.” Would have sufficed. Outside of this the overall experience was pleasant. I ordered the red velvet waffle and chicken. It was delicious.

The food was ok at best and the customer service was absolutely horrible. I had to constantly remind several waiters to get us drinks, silverware, the check, a take out box, and more. The wait for the food was long as well. We sat there for about 2 hours and only ate for 30 minutes. The social distancing was not up to par either. Just a disappointing experience overall. I will never go back.

The food was amazing and there is parking in the back of the building however the drinks a little pricey for what it is. They automatically take out tip and charge for water. The server wasn’t very attentive and only came twice to take out orders. The salmon sandwich was really tasty and cooked very well. The burger was juicy, well seasoned and cooked how i wanted to.

This place was awesome! It is RESERVATION required so make sure you book before coming!! I really enjoyed the food. Our server Lawren was super nice and attentive. I had 5 whole wings, which I ordered a la carte, with sauteed spinach and mushrooms. My husband had fried catfish and grits with a side of eggs. For a drink, I had a lemon drop martini, which was the right amount of "strong" and I only needed 1. Our appetizers were the Salmon egg rolls and crab cakes. I only gave them 4 stars for service because it because took a while for us to get our drinks and appetizers and then when our food came to the table, half our party had to wait an additional 20 minutes before their meal came. Everything was flavorful except my sauteed spinach which I really wanted so I covered it in hot sauce. 😫The music was fun and we were entertained. Will definitely visit again ☺️

Great experience and fast service on a Saturday. We were seated after a short wait. Appetizer, drinks, and entree came out rather quickly. Our server Veronica was attentive and nice. The chicken and waffle and salmon egg rolls were really but the French toast was a little overcooked and hard. Overall a bit pricey but a good experience nonetheless.

It’s 2021 and they don’t have a phone only texting and they don’t respond. The food is NOT good and they have a no return policy so if the food is bad... o well- you’re paying for it! O- no free refills on sodas ($3 a pour).... this won’t last long in ATL I can assure you

Our server’s name was Bruce. He was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good suggestions. The honey butter biscuits, whiting w/ grits and the salmon egg rolls were DELICIOUS!! The Cajun salmon pasta was BLAND and my replacement salmon was greasy and also with no flavor. The ma and cheese was nothing but a bowl of noodles and cheese! It didn’t have any seasonings at all and that was a major disappointment. I doubt if we ever return here.

Wouldn’t know if it was good... made a reservation it got canceled because one person didn’t show up in our party on time.. it was only 3 of us. But hey it’s their policy. I won’t waste my time trying to be on time.. especially when 2 people are waiting with for the table and the person. Who is late is trying to park in their difficult parking lot. I hope those who do go and did go have a wonderful experience.

The visit here was my first time coming here after trying to go for months. The food was good, and hot. The service was mediocre, and it was super small in the establishment. Prices are a bit high for the items you’re getting but this is Atlanta! Pay to play. Over all, I would go back!

Had brunch at The Hive on Sunday 12/27. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We had a large group so it took about 40 minutes before we were able to place our food orders. The wait for the food was not long, but they also wasn’t busy during this time. The reason for the low stars is the food was mediocre at best. Bland. Most of us ordered shrimp and grits. They were probably the worst I’ve had for brunch. Red Peppers so far is the best. About 5 people had to ask for extra cheese, as well as add salt and pepper. It seems as if they only sprinkled seasoning on the top of the plate. No seasoning on the shrimp at all. Only 5 shrimp were given. The biscuits were blah as well. Fried chicken did not have any flavor also. And seemed to be undercooked. We decided to go to Harolds Chicken afterwards to eat and drink. Please stop hyping up these restaurants because of their location.

First time here and I am impressed! Upon arrival we were happily greeted by several staff members who directed us to our freshly cleaned table. Our waitress, Avi, gave some great and honest suggestions that became a great meal. First, the Banana Fosters French Toast was delectable. Sweet & soft, topped with fresh fruit and cream - no syrup needed. Next, the Catfish and Grits was flavorful. Savory and saucy, not that spicy, and the fish perfectly soft fried. Avi also helped us pick some tasty cocktails which she graciously served us. Anything we needed, she was on it! Overall, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was so much fun and I know if a Friday morning is this live, the weekend we could only be better. Looking to return soon!

If you're looking for a good brunch spot in the Buckhead area, this isn't it. Service is terrible. Management is sketchy. The food is mediocre and not worth the price. I'm all about supporting black owned businesses, but this "business" doesn't deserve the support.

Made a reservation for 2. Different areas had different music. I was content with where I was seated. Our server Mike was PHENOMENAL! He answered every question we had & provided great service! We had a bunch of food and it was tasty! Would recommend & go back!

HORRIBLE restaurant!! The experience was awful. The managers & waiters were very rude. No customer service was provided at all . The food was disgusting with no flavor at all. The male manager was utterly disrespectful when he spoke to women. He was very aggressive and cut my friends and I off anytime we would speak. He also harassed me because I refused to pay for something I didn’t ask for.

They are very unprofessional and the attitudes are distasteful. The young lady lied about their policies on food. They called the police because I didn’t want to pay for the macaroni I didn’t like. I proceeded to ask them to take it off. But, it wasn’t until it all unfolded that she told us some other nonsense. The manager and employees were rude. The food tastes like it’s been fried in the same grease. I highly recommend going elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs. It was cost that could’ve simple been taken off the tab. However, they were so unprofessional and disrespectful. The manager was talking to us as if he really didn’t care about our concerns. If you want quality, go anywhere but here.

Terrible service. The servers were rude and refused to take back the incorrect food that was served to me and my family. A night to remember turned to many family members unsatisfied and in disbelief of stubbornness that was shown for it to be a restaurant. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND if going for a family occasion to celebrate. This night will be one to remember from how bad of an experience my family and I witnessed and were subject to.

I went here about 2.5 weeks ago for a birthday brunch. We were in the back in a room alone. But i can tell the vibe was great when we walked through & sat at the bar a little while before being seated. Our waitress was Queen. She was cool. I had the Shrimp & grits. It was good, especially the shrimp. The honey biscuits was ok. I would like to return for the dinner menu.

The food is amazing and inexpensive...rarely I go out and enjoy the food but the hive was it!...the cajun pasta is to die for and the wings are just perfect 👌🏾

Reservations should be placed online and not via text to get proper confirmation. We were unaware that Hookah needs to be specified in reservation text.

Its lit! Rikki is the bomb. She took care of us and made sure we had an amazing time! Brunch here was so much fun. They made sure we were safe and followed the COVID guidelines and I will definitely be coming back!

I wanted to try this place because their food pics on Instagram looked appetizing. After reading the mixed reviews I began to rethink trying this place out but I tried and my only complaint was the wait time for our drinks. Our waiter/bar tender CHRIS was AWESOME! He was nice, helpful and funny! The food was good! Fresh and hot and a generous portion. The Fried Lobster Tail and Catfish (nice crisp) were both HUGE and tasty! There wasn't a "dj" but there was some decent music to vibe to. They also have hookahs. Overall...Good experience! JUNE2020

Food was awesome, very flavorful. Our server Queen was the best, very friendly, attentive and sweet. She made sure our bottomless was filled and handled the table great. Music was great too. Came for Sunday brunch after 12. Would definitely come back!

Fish was a little salty but other than that the food was great. Drinks were stronger than the hat I’m used to….But I’m also not a drinker and my stomach was empty on the first one. 😉 Tip is included in the total. I spent $100 for the trip, including $10 for parking and 2 drinks.
