EDIT/UPDATE: I want to edit my review because the treatment I received was subpar, lacking compassion, and unfortunately left me in poorer health. I was gaslit by the doctor and prescribed antibiotics when I expressly, several times, expressed how that was not what I needed for treatment. I was dismissed, and misdiagnosed and pushed antibiotics which made my condition worse. if I had advocated for myself better and asked the dr to write down how he refused to give me what what I asked for, I would have had a malpractice case. I regret going here for urgent care and I wish I hadn't been pressured to listen to these people. _________ better than minute clinic. nice ambiance inside but the front desk staff are inexperienced or unhelpful. i was having trouble with phone service and needed wifi to call a lyft. they refused to let me log in to their wifi and sent me to go looking outside in 100 degree heat. in terms of medical treatment, the doctor seemed a bit dismissive of my concerns but i trust his opinion

I've been to this location twice and must say... their level of care is consistent, as is the office's professionalism and friendliness. Their offices are not only clean and welcoming, the equipment used is update-to-date. Some urgent care places I've seen before just don't seem to take the same pride in their facilities as MEDICI does.

Called this office to confirm they could perform certain blood work before making an appointment. I was told by their office they did the blood test I was hoping to get done. Several days later I get an email stating they did not perform this blood test and they had canceled my appointment. They are NOT ‘the next level of medicine’ as they claim. Update to owner’s response: A referral for a specialist would have been useful in the email I was sent about my appointment being cancelled. Do better.

I would like to preface my review by stating that I privately reached out to the company regarding my subpar experience and initially had no intention of leaving a negative public review. However, based on the response from the medical director, I decided to leave a public review to make others aware of my experience even if it is not the experience of the majority thus far. Original feedback provided privately: "I came to this urgent given its proximity to me, referral from a friend and the option for same day appointments. I wasn’t aware that I would be seen by an NP and asked the MA if a physician was available. After she informed me that one wasn’t, I went ahead with the appointment. I’m not sure if the MA informed the NP that I had requested a physician and if that could have influenced my treatment. Catherine Clark, NP barged into the clinic room without knocking, didn't make eye contact when introducing herself, didn't even ask my name and, based on questions she asked, didn't read any prior notes on the issue. I came in for foot swelling and she barely inspected my foot. She did check for some things (pitting edema, tenderness) but not other important things (range of motion, edema in ankles/legs, etc.). Her treatment plan was to order a BNP. After I asked about imaging, she said she would refer for an US. Overall, I’m highly dissatisfied with the customer service and quality of care. I work in the medical field myself and pride myself on good patient rapport no matter how short a visit is. I rarely have to visit a medical clinic (usually once yearly) and this was my first time visiting an urgent care in Georgia; it will likely be my last time visiting this facility. Please call to update me with the lab result. Thank you." The medical director's response (Dr. Mboh Elango) did not acknowledge my individual experience; instead, he pretty much disregarded my experience and rationalized the service provided given other reviews that were positive. Positive reviews from others should not invalidate my personal experience with this company. His response is below (FYI, we did NOT attend the same school for our medical doctorate education.). Additionally, I did not inform anyone at the urgent care center that I was a physician, as I did not want that information to influence my care. "Hello . I am the owner and medical director at MEDICI. Unlike most Urgent cares, we are staffed full time by a board certified Physician. I just happened to not be at my office when you arrived. However, I trust my NP and MA implicitly with providing excellent care. My NP has decades of ER experience, I have know her since she was an RN and frankly she is one of the most competent and genuinely wonderful people I know. Her care is thorough and her personality is infectious. I am confident that we are providing a great service to our community, and our other reviews and referrals demonstrate that. I believe we attended the same medical school and I am sure you are aware of the ethos of excellence that was instilled in us. Perhaps our practice is not adequate for your health care needs. We hope you give us another opportunity but otherwise we hope you find the care you need."

Dr Bo and the team are amazing. Best urgent care I’ve been to. Cool blend of spiritual and clinical.

Very nice atmosphere for those who might be nervous going in for urgent care. Feels like a spa in the waiting room. The staff has a personableness to them that is welcoming and attentive. Everything is perfect so far! Will update after we see how my person's treatment goes.

I was suffering from flu- like symptoms and did not feel able to wait hours at the typical urgent care centers. I found MD Medici via online search and was very pleased that they offered urgent care appointments and could see me the very next morning. I was able to complete all of the paperwork in advance so check in was fast and professional. I was seen right away by medical staff who were friendly, polite and actually listened. Following that, I was actually seen by Dr. Elango, which can be rare nowadays that you actually spend time with an M.D. This was hands down the best urgent care experience I've ever had which is important when you are sick. Following my urgent care appointment, I was also quickly able to undergo an immunity boost IV as part of their wellness practice. 5-star service and care! Very pleased and strongly recommended!

Appointments are always easy to get quickly. There's never any wait. The nurses are thorough and always friendly. The doctor is kind, attentive and proactive. My family has used them for urgent care several times, and we're always happy we did.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Elango for several years now and he consistently provides great care. Quick, and efficient, care that is of the highest quality. He and his staff take great pride in providing great care. Medici will always be my place for personal health care needs.

it is always an easy and quick experience at medici. the staff is amazing and the doctor gives great advice and really cares about his patients. if every medical practice was like medici, i feel like a lot more people wouldn’t mind going to the doctor and taking care of their medical concerns. i will always pick medici over any other urgent care in the atlanta area!!!!

This was not my first time coming to Medici and just like before, my experience was amazing. I was greeted immediately by the front desk personnel and taken back in a timely manner. The NP, Catherine, was very patient and addressed all of m concerns. She showed an interest in me personally and medically. The clinic was warm and inviting. I will definitely be back. This place was great! Me and my family went here after a few minor injuries from a car accident. They helped us big time and even gave my children candy. The office was nice and clean, while the service was outstanding.

The staff is very friendly, and attentive. Was a little nervous at first since I get that way at the doctor's office. But they put me at ease very quickly, and Dr. Bo is a true professional with a kind touch. Feels like home, and I have been back for an IV vitamin therapy, which worked wonders for my mind and body. Going to try the massage, and acupuncture services as well. The office is decorated very tastefully, with an almost spa like quality. Top notch, and great location at the newly developed The Beacon in Grant park is hard to beat! Very impressed that it is here!

After calling several different urgent cares looking for some place that does IV Fluids, my husband finally found this place. They booked us a same day appointment and we were there in 30 minutes. I was severely dehydrated and they took me in immediately and luckily also accepted my insurance. The office was quiet and peaceful and Ms. Powell was so understanding and helpful. I felt 10x better after my treatment and they even got me a prescription into my pharmacy same day. Very thankful for this place and would definitely return and recommend to others. 💜

This urgent care is the best! The facility is sparkling clean and also comfortable and cozy. The doctor and the nurses are professional and caring. I have not often had such a positive experience. I will definitely, Definitely be using this particular Urgent Care in the future. Also they offer services such as IV, yoga, massage and acupuncture. Definitely a full five stars in every way. Absolutely recommend. The moment you walk into the clinic you feel at peace. The staff is so caring and friendly. Dr. Elango is very thorough and kind. I have gone to the clinic for the sauna and IV infusions as well as for illness. Every time I have left feeling better and knowing that I am in good hands.

First of all, THE MOST PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE I’VE EVER SEEN IN AN URGENT CARE! The STAFF, so pleasant, so helpful, so professional! Covid protocol, they have it down to a science. Things move along so smoothly. I got the IV TREATMENT which had me feeling like a new person and great prices! I’ve shopped around and you can tell that they aren’t just trying to get your money. THEY ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR OVERALL HEALTH! Officially my new favorite place! They have put together a combination of services that can cover you on all sides of your health needs. Love it!!🥰

Medici is the best clinic I’ve ever been to in my LIFE! Not only is Dr. Bo knowledgeable and professional, but his staff is very friendly and experienced as well. When you walk into the front doors you’ll instantly notice that it isn’t your typical practice. The space is beautiful, elegant, and welcoming. I’ve already made Dr. Bo my primary doctor after the first visit. I was able to get a routine checkup as well as a massage! Also, I got my first IV cocktail here and I will be back for another! It truly works wonders. This place is amazing!

A wonderful experience and exceptional staff! This was the most relaxing urgent care I've ever visited. My husband had a minor back injury and the NP got him in and out, and before leaving my husband had an acupuncture session. Thank you Medici staff for your great care!

Ever since moving to Atlanta this past year, I've been going to see Dr Elango and his wonderful staff at MEDICI. The clinic is a very nice space and I can't say enough great things about the care, compassion, and service I have received there. I have been there for tests, checkups, vaccination and acupuncture and it's all been wonderful. Would highly recommend for all your medical/wellbeing needs!

I have visited Medici several times for vaccinations and more recently, for a minor injury and have received prompt attention and very good care. However, I do have one gripe. There is no online option to pay the bill, just via mail and phone. To make matters worse, the phone system used seems like it's from the 1960s. If you make an error in some areas, instead of allowing you to re-enter the info, it kicks you over to a customer service rep. Rather than wait, I just hung up and started over. It's hard to believe that a business would actually make it hard for you to pay them! I'd still go back to them in a heartbeat, but for Pete's sake, please fix this!

This was my first time coming in, as I just transferred from my old doctor. WOW, the staff is so friendly and helpful. The Doctors are AMAZING! What else could you ask for? As a bonus the whole facility is beautiful! I will absolutely be using this as my primary care!

This clinic has somehow managed to combine the feeling of being at the spa with urgent care. This is the most aesthetically thoughtful, sparkling clean, easy in and out urgent care clinic I have had the pleasure of visiting!

Dr. Mboh is a gem and there’s nobody I would trust more to be my GP. Medici’s combination of general practice and holistic care really makes it a one stop shop for all my health needs. Highly recommend.

I really want to love this place since I live nearby however I waited almost an hour past my scheduled appointment to be seen by a provider. It did not appear busy as no one else was in the waiting room. The providers themselves were kind and professional.

This place is amazing. I never felt so comfortable at a doctor. I went here for urgent care. The staff is nice and understanding. She said they were short staff but I was in and out with 15 minutes. It didn't seem like they were short staff that's how fast and caring there were. I will go back

Very clean and the lady that helped me before the NP was fantastic! The NP Catherine Clark, NP! literally rushed me out. When I told her my toe was hurting she said it looks just like my other toe when it didn’t. I felt like my pain was minimized and she ran out of my visit as if there were people waiting….when I also asked about my digestive issues the NP didn’t even have the respect to hear me out and understand my issues and just told her nurse (?) we’ll refer you. Doesn’t this office offer wellness? At least have the respect to hear me and see me. I didn’t feel seen and I wonder if my skin color had something to do with it….so sad 2/10 (only because the lady at the desk was so kind to me and took her time with me). When they left me in the room they just left me there and so I walked out and she had a tone to her telling me you could've stayed in the room. Well no, the way I was just left in there ugh! So heart breaking. Never again. Update: Seems to be a trend with Catherine Clark, NP on swelling and pain when it comes to black women. Just 7 months ago a review was made about her. A SHAME!! I just wonder about the other people who haven't said anything. MEDICI get a hold of it! This could be bad!!! SHE IS THE PROBLEM!!

The team here was exceptional! They treated me with the upmost care and compassion. I had plenty of question and Dr. Elango took his time to answer and give insight to each one. As a new resident to the Atlanta area, finding a primary care physician was something I was concerned about…not any more!

Always received amazing care here for my entire family . Very timely, compassionate, my 4 yo says “it’s his best doctor that always fixes him “- Always our go to urgent care for respiratory issues .
