I received a invitation to Negril Village in Atlanta to celebrate my cousin new position as a guidance Counselor. The DJ's music was Great! The Southern Chicken and Red Velvet Waffle was not worth $51.00 (20% gratuity) + plus $12.00 (3 hour parking). I arrived over an hour late due traffic. The parking lot attendant said their parking lot was full, that I needed to drive down the street and park at the church. I told him, "I had a handicap sticker" so he allowed me into parking lot for handicap parking. I couldn't do the stairs in the restaurant, so I was allowed to use the elevator near the kitchen. Thank God! Everyone had already ordered by the time I've arrived. I ordered CARRY-OUT Southern Chicken and Waffle ($29.00), because the waitress said the salmon with jerk & curry would be spicy due to peppers. Thinking it would be a large portion due to price, but it wasn't. I received 5 pieces of cut up chicken and a waffle cut up into 4 pieces. I didn't eat nor drink at the restaurant; only ordered CARRY-OUT. I wore my mask due to medical condition. Once everyone was done eating. I asked the waitress for my check, she said everyone's order was on one check. So we spent an extra 30 minutes trying to separate everyone's order, not including the long wait for our check. I asked the waitress why was I being charged 20% gratuity on a CARRY-OUT. She said it's 20% gratuity no matter what I ordered. I told her I wouldn't come to this restaurant again. She said sorry it's 20% gratuity not matter what and walked away. Her apology was as worthless as the food and service. I thought my CARRY-OUT ORDER would be separate from the others. Total bill $494.97 including gratuity and taxes. The food is extremely over priced for the taste and portion size. If you decide to visit Negril Village in Atlanta be prepared; food pricey, lack of parking, no one wears masks. You don't have the option to pay 10%, 15% gratuity. That choice is taking away from you. If I had of known, I wouldn't have attended. Pictures of receipt, Southern Fried Chicken/Red Velvet Waffle and my cousin's Red Snapper. OMG! I can't eat fish with the head, eyes and teeth sticking out. May 7, 2022

This was my first time eating at Negril, and I can’t begin to describe how good my food was! I’m a little embarrassed about my empty bowl pic, but it’s necessary to get my point across! I decided to get the oxtail pasta and I was skeptical because I stick to eating the same foods and I wasn’t too sold on Caribbean cuisine, but I made the best choice! It was so flavorful and filling and the taste is immaculate! Our server was very helpful and the manager Marcus was so nice and I assured him we would be back! Also we went on a Thursday night so it wasn’t overcrowded at all! If you go make sure you try the oxtail pasta. It’s amazing!

I particularly liked the variety of the D’Roundabout entree which was also a large enough portion to share between two people. This meal was an exciting combination of oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken and other items that were very nicely presented. The rum punch was good and strong, just the way I like it. Parking was paid with 20% gratuity automatically added to checks for parties of 2 or more.

I’ve been here three times now, twice for lunch and once for brunch, and I can honestly say this place never disappoints me. These people know customer service! This last time we went our waitress Aka was very nice! She took our orders and gave great suggestions and was very quick. All our orders were done perfectly and I even had a to go order placed which was also ready by the time we were ready to go. There were other waiters that also helped with our table even though they had their own to do and would just check on us to make sure we were okay from time to time. It was so refreshing to have good service and good food to add to it! The music was great and not too loud. We were able to have table conversations very easily without having to yell to be heard. The venue was very clean including the bathrooms. I had no problem finding parking at the restaurant and for 3 hours it was around $12 I believe. The mimosas were great they have their own negril twist instead of just plain orange juice (which is still ask option if you choose) they have their own fruit juice consisting of passion fruit, guava, and mango that they mix with their mimosas. For food I ordered the red velvet waffles and jerk chicken which was Delicious and filling. In the past I’ve also tried their regular oxtail plate and jerk chicken plate that comes with rice and peas and sweet plantains and they were super good too. This place will always be one of my top rated spots to enjoy good food in Atlanta!

The food and service was good. There was a 2-hour limit inside, so be on time for your party. We had some issues with our food not arriving but overall good. Stay clear of parking attendant on property. He is very rude. Just pay at the machine and keep moving.

Went on a Sunday the establishment doesn't have parking you must pay to parking next door lot or on the street, the inside decor is very sophisticated. The hostesses we're pleasant. We were seated upstairs they had a great band playing. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive it did take a while to come to our table it was very busy though, after we ordered it took a few mins for the food to come out omg let me tell you it's well worth it!!! The food has fresh ingredients made from scratch, and very filling. Loved it so much and would highly recommend.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday weekend here! My husband is from Jamaica. So what he says about the place really makes it authentic! We came to their Saturday brunch. Drinks were really good! The rum punch was strong with a nice fruity flavor. Started off w plantain for an appetizer and the jerk wings. The jerk wings flavor was really good. It shows because I didn’t take a picture before digging in. My husband ordered Jamaica’s National dish of Ackee and Saltfish. I ordered the brown stew chicken. He really loved the Ackee and saltfish. He rated it a 10. However, he wish it came with double the sides because it was a lot of Ackee to the dumplings and banana etc. so we ordered extra sides to go. The brown stew was so tender! I wish they gave more rice and peas to the dish, but overall it was fine. I wasn’t a fan of the cabbage. The brunch was supposed to have live band but I was told a DJ would be here instead. The DJ was running extremely late so we didn’t get to hear much of his music. The atmosphere was beautiful with it being an old firehouse. The bathrooms are upstairs….A LOT of stairs. It’s not handicap friendly not having an elevator or at least I didn’t see one. It’s rather large upstairs when you do go up. Overall service was nice. It’s a little slow if you’re not use to island time haha. But I’ve adjusted to that now.

I enjoyed our stop here. The waiter was prompt, friendly, personable, and attentive. This was the first time the person with me had exposure to Jamaican inspired food. My expectations were high - boyfriend's family is Jamaican and his dad cooks a lot....and that probably tainted my food experience. We got the Ackee and saltfish spring rolls (good), jerk shrimp (hard to mess up), oxtail- which was served with a lettuce wrap and a festival (good). The curry chicken was disappointing for me...i thought it was under seasoned. The rice, cabbage and plaintain were cooked well. We split all of these dishes and it was more than enough food for 2 people. I wanted to make sure she got a full experience so I ordered a champagne cola, sorel, rum punch and red stripe.

We went last weekend for a birthday celebration! We were super early so we went to the bar and there were free seats there so we got seats with no problem. All the servers were great, very friendly. The drinks are strong. We were sat at our table at our reserved time. Our server was awesome. She handled our party of 9 very well! The food was good! I would definitely go back. CON: *The restroom is upstairs and it’s a lot of steps! I’m not sure if they offer an alternative to get up there. *Drinks come in a can, so no refills.

This place is a converted firehouse built in the 1900's. You can see the metal rods in front going to the back holding the walls up as you see in very old 1800 built buildings. Had the calabash stew with rote bread it came with two fried sweet plantains. Drinks were priced correctly ad the food was priced correctly . The stew was a little different than was is served in my home town area, which was great! The plantains were sweet and fried correctly. Food quality was spot on. I will return to this place next time in the area.

I had been here about 5 years ago, so the family and I decided to go again. It still has a nice atmosphere and tasty food, with the exception of my rice and beans being cool. I also, saw a celebrity, in the private room, on my way to the restroom. Now, going to the washroom is not a comfy one. It's not too lit and one must walk up stairs, where it is quiet and sometimes no one else upstairs. Overall, I enjoy the food and atmosphere. Apologies for being long.

This place has really changed and NOT for the best. The food and music is still good. I miss the lady singer but the new band is good. I always left the brunch tipsy well not today. Drinks are water! They also overcharged us by $18. Please review your bill. Compare the menu prices to your bill. The listed prices are different then what was on the bill!

Had brunch here on a Saturday afternoon. Charged us $10/per person prefix but didn’t let us make a reservation at 12:30 when there was no one seated at that time. Weren’t allowed to sit until everyone at the party was here. Food was OVERPRICED and they don’t have coffee and they were out of items on the menu we asked for. Only had four UNDERWHELMING options to eat from and parking isn’t free. We each asked for our steak (medium rare and medium) and they were all well done which is not what we asked for. Food took over half an hour to make and bring out. Chicken was mostly bone and didn’t have another option for waffles when they ran out of the pineapple Infused option. Why bother charging people $30 for a plate like this? And “groups” of 2 or more have to pay 20% gratuity? Ridiculous.

The location is an old fire house and it is really nice. I expected more Caribbean decor, but the restaurant is beautiful. The service was good too. My waitress answered my questions and told us what to expect with our orders. The food was good. I had to try the collard green spring rolls. They were delicious. I was hesitant about the dipping sauce, but it gave them a good flavor. I ordered the oxtail bowl. Delicious again. I did not like the cabbage.

The food was DELICIOUS !! WE feasted on oxtails. The appetizer , collard greens spring roll was also very good. The drink had a nice amount of alcohol :) ( Rum Punch) Kei was our server..she was a perfect 10..Cleanliness was great, both the restaurant & bathroom. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because although the oxtails were crazy delicious, they were a tad salty..Chef easy on the salt :) We are definitely returning and will tell all to head to Negril VILLAGE !!

Great atmosphere. The food is flavorful enough for Jamaicans to feel their culture is embraced through the food but mild enough for Americans/ other cultures to appreciate the food and experience. Highly recommended whether for a small plate, date night feast, or family brunch

What a great find. Great food, great beverages, wonderful service and a relaxing atmosphere. After a long day it was exactly what we needed Dragon Stout was rich and flavorful and worked with the food. I had the pumpkin and vegetable stew with coconut milk and curry and was so satisfied. The bread pudding at the end was rich and not too sweet. Just right. I will come back on my next visit to Atlanta.

I love catfish. So when the menu had stuffed catfish whit shrimp. I had to have it. My cousin had oxtails with beans and rice planting and a side of macaroni and cheese.. This was a nice restaurant they played music not too loud not too soft. The restaurant had a old time feeling with a new time twist. Keepping some of the buildings original design. Drinks were good as we were waiting for our food. From my pictures you can see that the catfish had a lot going on. With that being said It was delicious. The fish was seasoned well, everything that it was stuffed in it was delicious. The sauce, the rice, the peppers that onions the shrimp it was amazing. They did not hold back. So if you are in the ATL stop by Negril ATL with your special someone you will enjoy the whole package.🙂

The meal was enjoyable, and despite it being brunch on a Sunday, we were presented with a dinner menu. Upon inquiry, we learned that ordering a small plate was an option. Don't forget to use the parking machine for payment in the parking lot next door.

My experience at this establishment was ok+, meaning, not so great but not so bad either - mostly ok with some caveats. Atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, probably a lot cooler at night judging from the lighting and ambiance. Staff were nice and service was prompt, however, I don’t think our waiter was as helpful as he could’ve been. We ordered the jerk shrimp as an appetizer, and then got the oxtail pasta as well as the ackee and saltfish for entrees. Food wise, the ingredients seem to be of pretty good quality (clearly the shrimp was not cheap, the texture quality is obvious to anyone who knows decent seafood). Now, the pasta plate was easy to eat, but the ackee and saltfish, given that it’s a traditional Jamaican dish, probably could’ve used with some explanation from the waiter. Upon receiving it, I thought this could not be it - the bowl with the fish mix was delicious but there was also some boiled potatoes, a boiled… I guess dumpling but it had absolutely nothing inside it (so it was just chewy boiled dough, really) and something else that I did not know what it was. On their own when I tasted them, these three things had absolutely no seasoning and zero flavor. I figured there is no way this is meant to be eaten this way - so I cut them in pieces and mixed them all into the fish mix. Suddenly they all added texture to the main part of the dish and it all was quite good. I might be entirely wrong in how I ate this, but there’s no way you’re meant to eat an insipid boiled dough “dumpling”, and it would’ve been nice for the waiter to provide some guidance about how this is probably eaten (or at least ask if I had ever had this traditional dish and given me some context). So, less than great experience, but food was ok. I was a bit more annoyed upon payment - the food already seems a bit overpriced (each entrée was about $35, whereas for the quantity and quality I’d say $27 would be a fairer price), and I did not realize they included a %20 gratuity in the check, so I ended up paying another %7 on top of that because it was the highest number on the machine I was given, though it seemed weird that they would suggest such low values. Now, if you’re going to include the gratuity, it is the duty of the waiter to let you know that. I’m principle, I find restaurants who embrace this practice absolutely infuriating - if service was terrible, I do not get to tell you that with a poor %10 tip so you’re incentivized to improve, I have to still reward your bad service and I personally find that unethical. I would’ve left the %20 for sure anyway, but I was not happy about feeling duped into leaving %27 tip, which I find excessive and felt it was received in a bit of a dishonest way. Let me, the client, choose whether you earned the tip or not. So again this dampened my experience in the end. All in all - good food, slightly overpriced, service could be better, and be careful when you pay. Probably would not come back given my experience - once here was enough.

Had dinner with friends. Nice ambience. Good service. Food came fast and was delicious. Loved the collard green egg rolls. The ginger beer was outstanding. The Rum Punch was good. Make sure you order extra sauce for the Jerk and Brown Stew chicken entrees. Overall good experience. Downside is having to pay $20 to park on their parking lot. Gratituity is automatically included regardless of party size.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was on point. They even had a live DJ and he did not skip a beat on keeping us grooving. Parking is not that great but I am sure there are other areas for you to park for a fee. We parked at the restaurant. The music maybe a little loud for some but I enjoyed myself and will be visiting again the next time I am in Atlanta. You should check it out.

We had an amazing evening here last night. We arrived late from our flight and our front desk staff recommended this place as it was opened until midnight. Our server Maya was excellent. We wanted small dishes to try as it was already late for a full meal. Everything we tried we loved it. The Jamaican beef patties and vegetarian were delicious. We tried the Mango 🥭 Cheesecake and it was superb. Definitely recommend this place. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Thank you! ♥️

4 words: YOU WILL BE BACK! Negril has absolutely the best Caribbean food and music in Atlanta. We love this place, and frequently visit so much that the owner regards us as regulars. The vibe is pure West Indian culture from the music to the authentic food. The entire menu is great. Some of our favorites that we recommend are the jerk wings, collard green spring rolls, curry chicken with roti, jerk chicken with rice and peas, plantains are perfection and my absolute favorite the oxtails. We also love the stewed chicken. This place does not miss. If you want a great tropical cocktail experience, try the knotty dread, which is a milky piña colada-type of spicy cocktail. The spice comes from the cinnamon/nutmeg rimmed glass and it mixes so well with the drink. The drink is amazing and you will want to order a second, although one is sufficient if you have a low tolerance. The rum punch is also a great lighter option. Very fruity and refreshing.

The brunch buffet is the BEST choice if you have more than 3 people. The only con to this buffet is they don’t serve bottomless mimosas w/ the buffet. Drinks is al carte and from the people I brought they said the liquor drinks were blah and were more juice/water. Luckily, I got the red blend wine. The service was mid and I only say that because they did a great job at replenishing the food, but not the plates. Unfortunately, some were a bit dirty so we had to wait for clean dishes. The DJ was cool but the volume was a bit uncomfortable to the ears. The atmosphere was cute. I will say this is the place you visit to pre-game on food BEFORE you start drinking somewhere else.

The food was hot, fresh and very flavorful. Mac & cheese has a special flavorful taste. The cleanliness was lacking because of hair on the table and the menu when we was seated. Strong drinks. Waitress was nice but kept disappearing for a period of time. Automatic 20% gratuity. $5 parking. Nice atmosphere for a date night. Unfortunately my stomach was in pain all night in thru today. There was a male staff member by the bar staring at my daughter in a very uncomfortable manner. She is very quiet and reserved in wouldn’t speak up on something if it didn’t bother her.

Great food, good music, great service. The Jerk Salmon was cooked just right! The Mac & Cheese delicious! The collard greens rolls was something new and I was unsure at first. It had a bitter greens taste. "I feel because the stems are included in the roll" and alot of the times this can leave a bitter taste. Although I must say after dipping the roll in the sauce it balances the taste and made it a wonderful starter dish!

I’ve been here a couple times and i can honestly say the food could’ve been better.. although it has been over a year since the last time but it’s just not the same.. Mac was bland, collard green egg rolls had no flavor, my entree which was the ox tails were good. But that’s about it. I had champagne which was tasteful, I tried my friend drink and it was a lot of flavored syrup (strawberry) it wasn’t busy at all so maybe we came on a bad night (Friday) service was veryyyy mediocre but we still tipped great!

We were at Negril on a Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. We sat inside but quickly moved to the outside patio because it was extra cold in the restaurant. We were served our lunch within 20 minutes and it was hot and well seasoned. The curry goat bowl was delicious and tender, and my husband enjoyed his burger. Our only complaint was that the burger was on the small side. Our waiter, "D" gave us great service and attention.

Came with a group of 5. 2 of us ordered jerk salmon, 1 of us ordered coco curry salmon or whatever it was called. The Coco curry salmon was undercooked... TWICE. The first was sent back because it was raw in the middle and the 2nd came out RAW also... not rare, but RAW. The kitchen staff that brought it to the table totally ignored our complaint. I don't understand how our jerk salmon was cooked perfectly but the Coco curry salmon was not. Other than the undercooked salmon the rest of our meal was great. Food was nice and hot, appetizers were phenomenal, drinks were good... our waitress was great albeit a little busy, but still attentive.

Excellent meal. Able to get in without a reservation on a Wednesday night. Fun atmosphere. Jamaican decor and vibe. Food was fabulous. I had the Jerk chicken while my friends had the salmon. All very well done and presented. My rice was a little cold but the ensemble really worked great.

The food was good, not great! My boyfriend is Jamaican and he's always looking for carribean spots. We were visiting from SC and this place was on our radar from "Put A Ring On It" so we decided to try it. It gives more lounge vibes, than restaurant vibes. The building is narrow and seating downstairs can be a little tight. It does have an upstairs. We didn't go up so I'm not sure of the layout. So it just depends on what you're looking for whenever you go out as to whether this location will suit you. The drinks are strong so that's definitely a plus for most.

My friends and I were heading to a show at Fox Theater and were looking for options for dinner. We came across this lovely building and decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we left! We were greeted by a friendly hostess. We were seated quickly. The restaurant is dim and the lighting is lovely. It is perfect for a date night. Our server was wonderful. The food was perfectly cooked and absolute perfection. This is definitely a grown up restaurant with grown up food and drinks. It was the perfect escape for 4 parents that needed a break! The experience was so amazing my husband actually took the time to talk to the manager and compliment her on how awesome her staff and the food is! I will definitely return! 💙

Dropped in here after seeing a play. I’m pretty sure it’s just me, I don’t understand the “hype” of this place. We were seated fairly quickly, no reservation on a Saturday around 3pm. Our waitress was unbelievably slow however, she forgot to put in our drink order, as well as app order. We ordered the snapper & conch fritters app, both were okay. Ehh idk I don’t think this place is for me.

This place had the best Caribbean food I've ever experienced, that's right, experienced. The food was super fresh, so fresh it taste like it was just cooked when we got there. We had reservations for 7, so we had a table upstairs. The service was A1 from our server. I recommend everyone to encounter this place you will love just like we did!!!!

Its a nice upscale restaurant. The food is good. You get a lot of food. But the basic non alcoholic beverages were too pricey. If youre parking in their lot its a $20 fee for all day parking. There's outside sitting & upstairs private sitting besides the main dinning area.

Caribbean comfort food at it's best. Our server Nyeusi was kind patient and informative. She suggested the Calabash Stew and it was incredible! Very tasty, hearty, well seasoned. The Shrimp and Grits were delicious. Place has a great vibe. and Oh and my wife insisted they have the best cherries in their drinks in town 🍒

My fiance and I favorite restaurant in Atlanta! The atmosphere of the area is nice, the staff are friendly and funny, and the food is always amazing. This weekend I went to get Oxtail Pasta with a side of Jerk wings. The pasta is always full of flavor. The portion given is pretty good as well. Last time I asked if they could substitute the oxtail for jerk chicken, I think I liked that one a little more. The jerk chicken is always so juicy and spicy just like I like it. The spice isn't overbearing but it's definitely there. My fiance ordered a side of plantains to fill his sweet tooth, they were served with a good crispy yet soft texture just like we like it. Also, the alcoholic beverages are super good and don't have that extreme alcohol taste, in case anyone is going for a good night.

Great Place to meet with loved ones and friends. One of my favorite places to hit on the weekend…Dinner date hot spot, brunch and cocktails with plenty great food selections for everyone… Me and My Wife brought in the new year 2023 here with our family and friends and “ let me tell ya- we were lit 🔥 🔥 😜💜🤪 Food was smashing, drinks were top tier and the fun went all throughout the whole building”…. It was a grand experience indeed… This is my frequent spot to eat and vibe with friends and family while jamming to some great music, upstairs with the DJ spinning or a Sunday live music experience on the ground level either way you’ll be in a joyous mood when stopping through.. Thanks to all the great staff members showing love and the blessings with sincere customer service that’s unmatched.. kudos to Ms “Keisha” for helping us celebrate our New Year outing… We had a blast yo 👑😎 Much love…

Excellent service and food . They have parking $$…. Very nice and modern looking establishment. Outdoor dining available as well . Our food was amazing. We love the ackee and salt fish spring roll and the jerk shrimp . Salmon and curried chicken was a plus. The ginger beer is amazing. All the drinks are good !

Heard about this place on tiktok so we decided to give it a try. Parking is $20 so be prepared! Our waiter was excellent, checked on us several times throughout dinner, and even recommended some drinks for us to try! We got the collard green spring rolls as our appetizer. They come with a sweet and spicy kind of dipping sauce, which paired well with the collard greens! For dinner, I had the oxtail pasta with whipped sweet potatoes & my boyfriend had the crispy snapper stuffed with creole shrimp. Both dishes were a 10/10, but the whipped sweet potatoes lacked flavor. What you see is literally what you get, plain sweet potatoes with no brown sugar or sweetness to them. The only downside to our experience was being given minimal directions to the bathroom, only to realize I had to walk up a huge flight of steps and pretty much still search for the bathroom on my own once I got upstairs. However, I’d definitely eat at this place again whenever I’m in Atlanta!
