My husband and I ate here last week. He grew up in the area so he’s had it before. He had a two way combo with trigger fish and snapper. I had a boil. The trigger fish was literally the only seasoned food we received. It was our first try but was really clean tasting. The snapper lacked flavor. Our oysters was poorly shucked but very fresh. The boil was a horrible over priced meal. The corn on the cob tasted just like freezer corn with the No flavor. I did not finish this terrible $40 meal. No amount of butter nor Cajun seasonings at the house could fix this disaster.

Good menu. Super friendly service. Crazy fresh and tasty seafood!! Great prices too! Have been trying to hit this place for awhile now but always busy. Not from here so my chances are limited. Finally made it in for a late lunch. Was not disappointed!! Highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back my next visit to the are. 2nd visit: everything was over salted 😞 Had to drop my ratings a bit.

Seafood lovers dream!!! Stop what your doing and get there ASAP! I LOVE me some seafood and this place just became my new favorite locals place. So I have been wanting to try this place for a bit but never wanted to deal with the wait. So this time I came early and was prepared for a wait. To my surprise I was able to get a table. There is a take out line but you want to by pass that line and get a table. Wednesday was $9 dozen oysters and that is where my food journey began. They were gulf oysters so bigger meat size and just enough salt taste. The menu had me in a seen of Willy Wonka but with seafood. I had chosen one or two items from every section and realized I can’t eat all that so I will have to revisit. Ordering Blue crab Bites, blue crab stew soup and hush puppies was a wonderful choice. The crab bites were out of this world delicious. If you like crab cakes this is the smaller version and oh man I think I might like them better. They were super meaty with crab and fried to perfection. The soup was up in my top 5 seafood soups that I have had across several countries. It had a soft velvet texture that was enhanced by the taste and filling spoonful of hearty amounts crab. The golden fried hush puppies were a perfect companion to the soup and crab bites. I look forward to a future visit and trying different items. Will definitely visit again SOON.

We waited awhile on a Sunday night for a table. The menu is large and they do have a fresh catch. The portions were very large (lunch the next day!) and the fish was excellent. Others in our group didn't like some of the food compared to other seafood places in town. The service was good. Not our favorite seafood place but glad we tried it.

Special's on the online menu have not been changed. Was told manager didn't want to spend the money. So the oysters I thought were .75 were 15.00, the crab legs for 10 for 1lb were 27.00. The food was ok (not very flavored. Oil needed changing). The beautiful and tasteful fish was missing half of it's underside. Went a long time ago and you got a lot and it was great. This time ok and not what I expected. The oysters were not shucked correctly ( too much black specks all over). Excellent fried green tomatoes.

Good quality seafood at a higher price than comparative places in the area. Large portions of shrimp, grouper and tuna! Sides were ok, small portion of tasty slaw served in plastic to go container. Typical seafood shack interior. Excellent staff, friendly and helpful!

The BEST seafood in town. I love the low country boil it’s not greasy and smothered in butter like other places. The cole slaw is so good, great sweet tea & you must try the peanut butter pie. All around amazing.

Stopped in here based on reviews that I read. We had a large party of 11 people. Waited about an hour and 10 minutes until we were seated. Not to big of a problem, because I figured about an hour wait before we arrived, thanks to a call ahead of time to the restaurant. There is no reservations here, she first come, first serve. For our apps, we got the calamari, fried gator tail, raw oysters and mini blue crab bites. Oysters were good, crab bites were extremely good, gator tail was just ok and the calamari was not a hit. On to the main dishes. Crab Stew, baked stuffed Grouper with Scallops, steak, shrimp tacos, etc. The crab Stew was absolutely delicious and packed full of crab meat. The stuffed Grouper was very good, as well as the seafood stuffing it came with. The scallops were a complete miss. We got them broiled and they were way overcooked, shriveled up and a bit chewy. The shrimp tacos were very good. Also had a fried flounder dish at the table and it was cooked well and tasted great. The steak was a miss as well, but I told my wife not to order steak from a seafood restaurant anyhow, so not points taken for that. Overall,it was a pleasant experience and the food was good. We will definitely go back. Our waitress (Brooke) was on point, attentive and pleasant to talk to. Very helpful. Give this place a try!

I live in Kentucky so fresh seafood is a must when vacationing in Florida. I have been to 2 other seafood restaurants and left mildly satisfied. This place came up on Google search, so we tried it. The Swordfish was the best fish I've had, better than what I tried in Plymouth Rock from a fresh caught place. The lobster boil platter was incredible, not sure what the shrimp was cooked it but I believe I did shed a tear. The misses got the steak and shrimp, her steak beats anything from a chain steakhouse (Texas and outback). I'm trying to decide when to visit again just to eat here. Service was on point and super friendly.

Upon my first time eating at Seafood Kitchen this past week during a business trip, it instantly became my favorite seafood restaurant in existence. On the second consecutive night, that sentiment was solidified in gold. Liz and Jo Jo were so accommodating, friendly, and helpful that I felt right at home from the get-go. The daily specials are outrageous. The seafood is fresh. The beer comes in a pitcher. I was in an extremely happy place from start to finish. My only regret is missing Lobster Night on Thursday. I even bought a t-shirt to commemorate my time & money well-spent. Can’t wait to fly into Jacksonville and drive to Atlantic Beach again. (Great-looking skatepark nearby that i’d like to skate, too.) PS: Liz check out my skate section on the BACEMINT YouTube channel. PPS: Thanks for the key lime pie. Delicious. Nick D.

We tried this place on our recent trip to JAX beaches and loved it! The food was amazing and great service. I think our server's name was Liz, and she did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend checking out the Seafood kitchen for great seafood options at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back :0)

This place is pretty amazing. My GF says this is where the locals go and when I was in town visiting her I wanted to try it out. OMG I wasn't disappointed. I bought the seafood combination and I don't think I even ate half of it. It's a ton of food and all of it is really really good. The waitress was great and the atmosphere was pretty good. It was almost as good as actually being on the water somewhere. It was a little pricey but relative to what you get that wasn't complaining at all.

Ms Lainey was a great addition to our day. Her personality was inviting and full of that good southern charm. My favorite menu item we ordered was the fried gator tail (forgot to get a picture). My snapper was perfectly fried and flaky. We definitely wouldn’t mind eating here again when in town.

I have seen some of the negative reviews, and I wonder if those occur during busy times. We had an excellent experience, but it was after lunch rush and before supper, so maybe that made a difference. At any rate, our food was great, very tasty, and reasonably priced. The only thing I would change is the collard greens were very salty to my taste. That might be because there was a good portion of bacon included with them. So, I suggestion would be to not add salt to the greens if bacon is already going to be a part of the recipe. We would still consider it a five-star review though and would return.

My family and I really loved the food and service here. The atmosphere is not great though and neither is the location. The food was awesome though and prices are good for seafood. High recommended if you can look past the looks. ;) Wife loved the Brussel sprouts , the fried grouper and shrimp were great. Clam strips were as good as they can get. Snow crab was very good, although I prefer a little less seasoning, although it's just on the shell.

This is a great place for all kinds of fish! It's a cozy relaxed friendly spot. The server was very helpful in explaining the menu and the different options for cooking we could choose . Grilled, fried, Blackened. The catch of the day was Trigger fish, I chose to have it broiled with crab stuffing. It was scrumptious!! So many choices of shellfish, fish, shrimp , conch, gator. Good came out very fast and our server Melissa very attentive. Great dinner.

We were in Jacksonville Florida looking for food and we Google searched seafood restaurants. And we came across 2 of them with a 4.5 star rating so we chose to come to this place and my goodness!!!!!!! This food was amazing from the calamari appetizer to the main course omg!!!!!!! Yes I have pictures below. I had something called the catch of the day which was a fish called trigger fish. I was a little skeptical at first after I saw the picture of it online but a guy seated behind me said " Hey brother trust me it's good get the Tigger fish" so I did and my goodness was it the best fish I ever had yes indeed!!!! Service was amazing also and they were so patient with our first time comming and yes it was da 💣.Com 😁. We loved it so much we will come again. They will remeber me because I was the guy making alll the faces eating the homemade cold slaw!!! I had the stuffed shrimp and trigger fish with sweet 🍠 and coleslaw. My girlfriend had 2 piece catfish potato and hush puppies here are the picks.

Visiting family in Jacksonville, FL. This place came up in several conversations. Decided to check it out. Always love some good seafood. Very diverse menu with good choices. We ordered a little of everything. The restaurant was full around lunchtime time the day of our visit. Friendly atmosphere, service was quick, price value to food proportion was good. We ordered lunch portions. Lived up to the positive reviews we read. If you're in town or close by I would recommend you stop through. We were glad we did. Definitely, get the clam strips They are the real deal 😆 Enjoy!

Great and fast service. Trigger fish fresh catch is very tasty. Fried crab cake and broiled shrimp were not bad but a bit different than what we are used too. Crab stew was not bad but had a weird appearance. Very laid back and cozy ambience. Happy staff

Table of 4 of us sat for lunch and everyone really enjoyed everything, including our very helpful waitress. For starters we split 2 bowls of the crabmeat stew. Reminded me of a New England clam chowder base but with TONS of lump blue crab instead of the clams. For entrees we had- blackens triggerfish tacos with fries and coleslaw. I loved that they toasted the flour tortillas, and the triggerfish was super fresh and flaky. The pick 3 combo with broiled tuna steak (good but not as good as the triggerfish), blackened triggerfish, and blackened scallops. The cheese grits as a side weren’t anything super special. Next we got lunch portions of crab stuffed shrimp and crab stuffed triggerfish- both of which were flavorful and just the right size. We would absolutely go back again, their menu has SO much to choose from!

We had a fabulous dinner at Seafood Kitchen this evening. I ordered the seafood combination lightly blackened and my husband dined on the lobster special. So much deliciousness for a good price. Our waitress, Melissa made excellent recommendations and was very attentive. Would highly recommend!

Wow. Not what I was expecting, but we're definitely coming back. Simple and great food at an amazing price. The deals of the day are definitely worth it. The oysters are from Maryland. I've never been more satisfied with a restaurant find. The service was on point. Liz was always right there when you needed something and was clearing the dishes as soon as you finished them. I always had water in my cup. And I noticed the seving staff greeted and seemed to personally know well over half the people coming in. So the locals seem to love it too. We are only here two days but we will be back.

Lol sorry I didn't take a picture before hand of a full plate but it was the Captains platter fried which should say a lot about the food so delicious I couldn't wait to dig straight in. Staff always friendly atmosphere and food. Every chance I get I come here alone or bring a friend. My 3 favorites I never stray away from are the oysters on Wednesdays steamed, lobster on Thursdays and my captains platter fried. Highly recommend as I love the heck outta this place.
