Literally
the
only
thing
good
about
this
dated
hotel
is
the
location.
I
have
platinum
elite
Bonvoy
status,
but
I
also
have
generally
low
standards.
Somehow
even
with
extremely
low
standards,
this
hotel
(which
was
the
definition
of
opulent
in
1993
and
appears
to
be
a
time
capsule
at
this
point)
managed
to
let
me
down.
Their
“concierge
lounge”
was
a
coffee
maker
and
some
nutrigrain
bars.
No
bottled
water.
No
soda.
No
juice.
I’ve
lowered
my
expectations
since
the
pandemic
and
don’t
expect
a
club
lounge
experience
that
could
replace
a
meal
with
an
open
bar
these
days,
but
I’ve
received
better
hospitality
at
a
$20
roadside
motel.
What
really
takes
the
cake
is
the
downright
nasty,
rude,
entitled
housekeeping
staff.
We
had
already
confirmed
our
2pm
checkout.
Traveling
with
kids
we
tend
to
pack
our
car
before
breakfast,
but
we
planned
to
freshen
up
a
bit
after
exploring
the
boardwalk
before
hitting
the
road.
I
went
back
up
to
use
the
bathroom
around
10:00
am,
after
we
finished
our
breakfast.
Well
before
even
the
standard
12pm
checkout.
The
housekeeper,
who
had
already
started
the
room
turnover,
spent
several
minutes
yelling
at
me
and
I
finally
was
like
“listen
I
have
to
poop.
I’m
going
to
do
so
in
the
room
I
paid
for.
You
can
leave,
or
you
can
stay
and
watch,
frankly
I
don’t
care
at
this
point”.
We
hadn’t
checked
out,
there
was
no
reason
for
housekeeping
to
think
it
was
acceptable
to
start
room
turnover
yet.
I
shouldn’t
have
to
fight
a
housekeeper
to
use
the
bathroom
in
my
own
hotel
room
before
checkout
time,
regardless
of
if
our
belongings
were
still
in
the
room.
