Male Residental- Pacific Ave, Atlantic City NJ Where to begin? This program is amazing hands down, no doubt. I can see and hear the change in my boyfriend! I thank them from the bottom of my heart for saving his life and instilling the importance of sobriety in him and showing him that life gets better and he has people that love him to no ends. Now with that being said the staff here SUCKS! UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING, and down right disgusting. (not everyone just the people that “matter”) The staff doesn’t all see eye to eye and you can certainly feel it, the “director” (Bradley) that hands down recommendations for drug court is the most coldhearted woman I have ever had the “pleasure” of speaking with for all of :45 seconds. They will talk to family (IF you get the chance to talk to them) like you are an animal. They rarely ever call back. They act like they are there for the betterment of their “clients” but they really are all into money. If you walk into this place for drug court and you’re white or anything outside of black and you have things on the outside just be ready to cut ties with it all because they will ensure you are gone a while. The place reeks of piss and the roaches look like mice. They recently had the department of health come in and demand they clean. I’m guessing they saw the nastiness EVERYONE else sees, but since staff doesn’t live and eat there they don’t care. They are directly across from all the “dope spots” and next door to a needle exchange (i guess it shows them will power). They are a black muslim run facility so the racial divide in there is real and insane to say the least. If you are BLACK and muslim and you have an addiction then by all means this is the place for you, if not RUN and run fast, or you would like to have part in your loved ones recovery stay far away. Do yourself a favor search into the history of the money scandle they had going on a few years ago and ride past this location and then ask yourself if this is the place for you. But again the PROGRAM is lovely the people aren’t!

They make you wait to get on or in any program which is bad cause if a person walks in and wants to be treated that day on methadone they are being told to come back the following week when this person doesnt have a week or is lucky to stay alive a week. It Puts addicts in a situation where they have no choice but to do what they have to do to prevent them from being sick which can also cause death or jail. Who knows. Of a person walks in they should help that person tht day not wait till its to late!

The staff is unprofessional, insensitive and incompetence is the word of the day. Your talked down to, told one thing on the phone and when you arrive told something else, and they change the visitor rules weekly. Clients have personally told me of being treated like dogs, family members disrespected, being physically threatened, and strip seaches. They take the insurance money and then force the clients to apply for general assistance and food stamps and take that too. Some of these people should be in prison.

I stayed here for 6 months in 2016.. this place changed my life and changed me (for the better)from the inside out. I definitely recommend this place a million percent! The people who work here really really care about their clients.. this place might not be top in luxury... And I have even heard people talk down on it because it's not new and flashy.. but this place puts so much time and energy into their clients. They truly care about helping their clients to get better ! I would rather go here or send someone I love here than anywhere else! They really work to find out your core issues, and what is causing you to use.. and then help you to figure out new coping techniques to prevent future relapse.. everyday I am so grateful for my experience here... Everything that I learned here changed me for the better! I am grateful for everyone who worked here and touched my life.. I look at how far I've come and I can honestly say that I wouldn't have been able to do it without jbrc. 👍💯♥️ If you are looking for a place to help you get better... Or you care about someone who is deep in addiction and you want to see them get help... I definitely recommend sending them here! 100000% and if you are reading this review... I wish you the best of luck and I will be praying for you. 🙏

Staff needs more empathy &/or more employees in recovery, if their end goal is to actually help people stay clean & sober. I was shocked at how mean, rude, & uncaring lots of the hands on staff were to clients. Drug court liasion/counselor, Ms. Bradley's reputation was & remains unkind, cruel, unrelateable, unempathetic woman. Not just to clients, but staff as well. Meredith has grown but still lacks insight & remains close minded. Terry, Jan, Jen, & Etenson are all fantastic counselors, to name a few. I will always recommend their program, but if they have any chance to compete with the rehab wave opening up everywhere you look, I hope they try to hire staff that is in recovery themselves, and to take better approaches in treating the sick. Has always been strict and jail- like, but it doesnt have to be!

Great for IOP, if u get a chance to request your for a specific counselor i definitely recommend Damien B. Hes one of the rare ones... one that actually comes to his job for more then just a pay check it seems. The facility is clean, and seems like theres hardly any drug deals going on in the parking lot.. unlike ARS in mayslanding.. where its obvious.. i give JBRC 4/5 only because the night security officer is an embarrassment to the facility.. and antagonizes the patients...im shocked he still has a job.. the morning security officer is 10/10 tho. Im glad to be at JBRC j.v

I Just Left The New Faculty And Its Very Nice But As Treatment Center They Are Very Un professional and not worried about clients speaking with family or helping you along release its just a money grab to pay for there new building at this point u are only allowed 2 15 min phone calls a week at there choice so if you family isn't available at the time you are basically out of luck they don't have many activities to do so you are basically in a nice jail I would not recommend anyone with a drug problem go here

Since they changed places and moved 2 Pleasantville it has been the best place ever! They work with you sometimes a little strict but that's because they care and trying to show you THERE IS A WAY OUT '.... they have excellent groups, we have workers that will help you go on if you're interested reaching a plateau whether it be work, transportation, or mental help, going back to work etc. Not just a place of medication oh, it's a place of help real help and there good people once you get to know them they become your friend! And I've seen quite a few different counselor s LMAO.... though I've always been on the up-and-up not breaking any big rules. I only question is why we do not use the red syrup methadone!??.... I have stomach issues where sometimes the medicine doesn't Workwell! I prefer the red syrup I don't know if we'll ever change to that but otherwise I give John Brooks 95%! They really do try to show you THERE IS A WAY OUT !!!!👍🥰🙏✝️
