The best time for exploration is during the morning. At the beginning of the path, there is a difficult 100-meter rough patch, but after that, you'll find a nicely paved road that's suitable for cars. Be careful when dealing with the initial section. Watch out for aggressive jeep drivers who might try to convince you to pay a high fee; resist their pressure. While there might not be many things to do, you can enjoy the beautiful mountain views, the fresh morning air, and a spectacular sunrise.

Baba Budangiri Peak is a beautiful and scenic mountain located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, India. Here is my review of Baba Budangiri Peak based on my personal experience: Firstly, the drive up to the peak is quite scenic and offers some stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The road is well-paved and the drive itself is quite enjoyable. There are also a few viewpoints along the way where you can stop and take in the views. The trek to Baba Budangiri Peak is moderate in difficulty and takes around 2-3 hours to complete. The trek route is well marked and has steps and railings to help trekkers climb up the steep sections. The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys. On a clear day, you can even see the Arabian Sea in the distance. There are a few small shops and restaurants near the base of the peak where you can buy snacks, water and other essentials. The food here is quite basic, but it's good enough to keep you going on the trek. The peak is also known for the Baba Budangiri shrine, which is a popular pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Muslims. The shrine is located on the way to the peak and is worth a visit for its historical significance. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Baba Budangiri Peak to anyone who enjoys trekking and loves to explore the natural beauty of the Western Ghats. The drive up to the peak and the trek to the top offer some stunning views that are hard to forget!

This place located approx. 32 km from Chikmaglur. You need to hire a cab or to take a full day siteseen package if u want to come here. It is not very well connected with public transport. The full day tour package for this place is around 1500 to 3000 rupees depends on season. It is one of the beautiful place of Chikmagalur and a part of Western Ghat. you should not miss this place it is a must visit and beautiful place which you will never forget in ur life

Beautiful place to have some spectacular views. Climate was also great, providing a chilly feeling 😀. No surprise - i noticed a lot of professional photo shoots in progress for wedding couples 😍

Amazing experience. It was very windy and rainy. But still we had an amazing experience. Can't explain the amazing experience we had. We were planning to go by 4 wheeler but later we decided to go by bike and it was worth it. The off-road experience with the bike was extraordinary. The wind was so powerful that it was pushing us upside and no effort was required to climb the hill at all. We missed 360° though. Overall it was a fantabulous experience and would love to visit again if I ever get a chance to be there. If you go 4 wheeler, you may have to wait in the traffic jam. So it's better to go by 2 wheeler so that you can reach the destination without any wait and struggle of traffic jams.

You can reach upto baba budan giri dargah till your own vehicle, To reach the peak, if you’re a pro driver then only drive to the peak as the road is completely filled with mud and big potholes. Better take the Jeeps available there, they will charge you 150 per person and the ride will be thrilling. The view from the top is awesome.

Baba Budangiri also known as Chandradrona (lit. 'Moon guide', as the range naturally forms the shape of a crescent moon), is a hill and mountain range in the Western Ghats of India, located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka The main peaks in this range are the eponymous Baba Budangiri (height 1895 m), Mullayanagiri (1930 m) and others. Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in the range. With a height of 1930 m (6317 ft), it is the fourth highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. There is a famous trekking trail between Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri. The range is known for its extensive coffee plantations, one of the earliest and most extensive in India, said to have been started by the Sufi saint Baba Budan who is believed to be the first person to have brought coffee to the country by smuggling them out of Mocha, Yemen. His shrine located amongst three caves on the Baba Budangiri hill still serves as a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Muslims. Dattatreya Peetha (or Datta Peetha), a Hindu religious place dedicated to the deity Dattatreya, is coextensive with the shrine.

👍👍 5* for Waterfall.. Yes you need to take a jeep for 3km off road where your vehicle can't go and even for two wheelers also. You may have a good off field bike also not good to go by bike you don't know where mud and stones are there. Jeep price ₹800/Jeep (6 people can sit) if 2 or 4 are there find...
