Really fascinating hotel in the Auckland CBD area with great facilities. Stayed there a few times, you can’t really go wrong with selecting this place. The staff are very helpful and friendly and are efficient with check in and check out process. The rooms are spacious and clean and prices are very affordable. You can get a room in one of the top floors and have a great view, and the Sky tower is within walking distance from the hotel. I took a few pictures of a view from my hotel room. I would heartily recommend this place to any kind of traveler.

Amazing hotel with great staff who welcomed us (6 of us, girls weekend with no children) with friendly faces. Super greatful for taking us in last minute after complications with our other accommodation. We got 2 rooms, nice and spacious with great views. Couple of us forgot toothbrushes and the staff were helpful and provided us with some. Service was top notch. Huge thanks and appreciation to Georgia who gave A+++++ effort and service. We love you girl!!! Will definitely be back again. Highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🤩

It's been turned into a Managed Isolation/Quarantine (MIQ) facility in the middle of a building site as the city rail works continue outside. So no-one can stay here unless sent here by the NZ Government to isolate on arrival into NZ. Sadly the outside bedlam of the massive roadworks are matched by the inside ineptitude of the hotel. We have stayed at an MIQ facility before and they were much better (✅ to the Pullman Auckland). Apart from a slightly bigger room, a microwave and real cutlery, this has nothing going for it. The food is fair, just. Not even average. That's due to cereals and fruit being ok but the cooked food is awful frankly. If we were paying for this we'd send it back to the chef - oh silly me, we ARE paying for this rubbish, and dearly IMHO. As for a daily walk, our first walk (30 mins around an underground carpark with 5% access to sunlight) was after being locked up in our room for 4 days. And it starts by climbing six sets of stairs - zero warning for those less mobile... On day 6 we get to walk again. They are short staffed so "guests" can only walk every second day. What! They clearly think we're daft as we look down on a second walking area and it is glaringly empty most of the time (never an issue at the Pullman!). Can't fault the medical staff or the hotel front desk staff who have been very helpful throughout, but the rest... Goodness only knows how bad the organisation will be when we leave here next Sunday, especially given when we arrived we sat outside in the coach for 20 mins whilst the road workers cleared a path through the building site! The final irony is that mandatory 14 days MIQ was originally setup to prevent COVID from entering the community. Guess what, it's already out there IN the community with 2525 cases today. But once we do leave here and go back home (to take our chances against the 2525 cases) you can bet we will NOT return to the Crowne Plaza as a paying customer and yes I have stayed here before, never again sadly.

They have laundry facilities for guest use. Never saw this before. Rooms are clean and safe. Basically everything you need for a hotel and more. Also, a very handy retail shopping area is part of the downstairs. Sauna, gym, restaurant, bar, executive lounge, business area. Glad we stayed here. Can't say anything about the breakfast as I never had the chance to go enjoy it. Too busy seeing the sights. You won't go wrong here. Friendly staff as well. 24hr room service. Food is hot and brought up right away. The fish and chips were awesome.

Stayed in a standard room and it was nothing special but clean and comfortable. Its the service that really shines though, often I'd ask staff where I could buy something and they would already have the items and gave them to me and no extra cost. Sim card they gave me had pre-loaded credit that lasted my whole trip and then past that, taxi discounts, toiletries etc available 24 hours. My only real complaints is housekeeping comes too early in the morning, but that's pretty minor seeing as they do respect the do not disturb signs and the room service food isn't the best, especially for the price.

Stuck here for our MIQ jail sentence. Staff great and doing the best they can, however the food is terrible, a few reasonable meals but mostly we struggled to eat it.

Here for MIQ - very very poorly operated. If you’re a smoker then hold you breath for at least 2 days till you might be allowed to have one. They are concerned about cross contamination for testing etc, however cross contamination is occurring when being tested with others anyway. Double standards for what suits MIQ and no one else. Also shame on you for speaking out.

Handy location. The hotel looked dated and the front desk service was good. When we requested additional towels (as we had one short) we had to ask 3 times and the shower had no soap over the 2 nights we were there. A part from that the breakfast was ideal for us and the location and parking were good considering all the working being done on Albert Street.

I didn't stay here but I came in for a drink with a group of colleagues on their last night in Auckland. We weren't exactly overwhelmed by standard of service at the bar. We were clearly a huge inconvenience for the guy on duty who just wanted to get home as soon as possible. Obviously it would have been too much to ask for him to let us know that the bar was closing (at 10.30 on a Saturday, really?) It was too big a group to relocate easily to another bar so basically he ended our night for us. Pretty disappointing.

Honestly loved this place, has a great view in the glass elevator and couldn't ask for better service / hospitality, they had one of the best hotel gyms I had seen in a while aswell as a sauna, the rooms were clean and they would give you anything extra you need for free with housekeeping, room service and all other facilities just a phone call away. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Auckland

A big thank you to staff st this hotel as we had to make a last minute booking due to a flight delay. They kept the restaurant open, sourced rooms and were so accomodating. I also need to add the beds are amazing!

Room was not ready on arrival even though we arrived after check in time. The breakfast buffet was constantly running out of food and it became survival of the fittest to get food when it came out. We were one of six tables still in the restaurant when they started to put away everything in the buffet. Its 1.15pm and our room still has not been serviced. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly but for close to $400 a night we were expecting better.

Will definitely stay here again. Such a lovely man checked us in yesterday morning, he totally exceeded all expectations. Lovely comfortable beds, and spotlessly clean room. Right in town too, but quiet. Thank you.

Was astonished when entering into the lobby as it seemed like I had scored the deal of a lifetime when booking a room. This was quickly taken back once I arrived at my room as being described as a ‘king studio’ it seemed anything but. Clearly all the effort went into the lobby and not the rest of the hotel. My room came with ‘coffee and tea making facilities’ which was only 2 mugs, instant coffee, and a kettle that had to be shoved under the bathroom sink as it didn’t fit well but was the only source of water in the room. The bathroom was lacking a feel of ‘cleanliness’ as the bath and toilet seemed like they were bought 2nd hand off TradeMe and no amount of deep cleaning could recover them. Not to mention the toilet paper felt like sandpaper no matter how much you used. The location was handy as I want mainly based in central Queen Street so if you’re looking for a quick over night stay in central Auckland and are happy to pay for more than it’s worth, this is the place for you.

I've been an IHG member for decades, travelling around their hotels in Asia, Australia and Europe. Typically I like the Crowne Plaza as it's a bit more laid back than Intercontinental. I was disappointed there was no valet or doormen/porter to assist with luggage on a Friday/Saturday. Also disappointed that we couldn't use the lounge which is under refurbishment, as a platinum elite I would've expected complimentary water in the room at the very least. The service was okay, front desk unable to provide an iphone charger. Bags were stored by a lovely Canadian lady. Room was clean, nice and quiet so that's a bonus. Housekeeping knocking on the door at 10am while we're getting ready wasn't ideal but not a massive inconvenience. I would stay again once the lounge has reopened but would like to see things like bellboys be reintroduced, especially on weekends. Its those little first moments that matter. I've spent 2 decades working for Accor/Pan Pacific and I know that the pandemic has changed things and supply demand is still not at pre pandemic but the hotel would've been relatively busy over the weekend I imagine.

Although a bit dated, the room is clean and spacious, excellent customer service. Able to check in early. Managed to request for quiet floor away from the lift. Lovely staff at the front desk and they check in to make sure everything is alright and friendly housekeeping. Gym is well equipped (doesn’t smell) and sauna available. Great location in the city centre, you can take he bus from the airport to skycity next door. Most things are writhing walking distance. Just a note: Due to road works the access to the hotel is a little inconvenient. Also, there are no regular tv channels, and would require your own subscription to cast to their smart tv. Edit to add: Hey Tim, just to explain the TV channel situation, when we got the courtesy call they asked if everything was alright and because we didn’t know how to work the TV, we asked if there were any other channels on the TV and if we could get on it, the lady said no and the only option is to use chromecast.

Great staff that were very helpful, friendly and professional, they made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Overall an amazing experience staying here, checking in and out was a breeze. This hotel has everything you may need and is conveniently located within walking distance to all the attractions and spots within the city. Would love to visit someday again.

Amazing hotel, very friendly staff and the buffet breakfast was delicious!! Barista making whatever hot drink you like and a chef to cook you custom omlet. Rooms were also very clean and bed was SOO comfortable and had a soft top. Made it hard to get out of the bed in the morning.

Fantastic central location walking distance to everywhere, particularly close to skycity. Staff were brilliant and friendly, cleaners, receptionists, to chefs at the breakfast buffet (best buffet breakfast I've had) small touches like the glass elevators, chef dedicated to personalised omelettes and coffee during buffet breakfast made the stay really enjoyable. Downside were the curtains over the shower/bath which can stick to the body which I wasn't fond of.

Hotel was clean and staff were courteous. Gym had a good variety of equipment. The elevators were not great.

Ideal for anyone wanting to be downtown. We stayed the night before a cruise. It is only a walk to Queens Wharf. Rooms were clean, roomy, and comfortable. The only thing missing was a spoon for stirring coffee/tea. We had a very efficient gentleman at the counter. Would highly recommend .

Good location, being very near the tower. All the staff have been great. Large rooms, clean and well kept. Four of us had an evening meal, for three of us was great, but the fourth wasn't good. We mentioned it at the time, but nothing substantive was given in reply. Overall recommended.

I normally stay at Sky City or Sky City Grand, thought I'd try somewhere different as wasn't impressed with the cost, quality of the rooms or customer service last three times we had stayed there, The Crowne Plaza rooms are modern and so clean, staff are super friendly, from the minute I walked into reception, was given a gorgeous room too, the in-house service was literally instant and the food and cocktail's just delicious!! I really appreciated this as staying on my own felt very safe here as it's family friendly too. In the atrium is Nail Salon, highly recommend delux pedicure, next door a massage with Katie, without leaving the hotel. Highly recommend to all, this is definitely my new go too place when I'm in Auckland,👌👍❤️💯. PS, beds are super comfy!

Stayed for two nights in a double queen room as part of a work and conference/ awards visit. Drinks at the bar during the industry mingle evening were relaxed, different seating options available. The conference ran smoothly, very generous morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. Impressive buffet breakfast with just about anything one could imagine eating for breakfast. Loved the chia pudding. The awards evening ran like clockwork, again a sumptuous buffet. Drinks bar set up nearby. Very professional and helpful staff. Rooms were well appointed, very clean, and such comfortable beds. Seven in our group and we all agreed the beds were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Xander at the front desk assisted with directions as the central city was in gridlock with roads and lanes closed. Very enjoyable stay.

Beds were really nice and comfortable. How ever the buffet was terrible not like it used to be. The food was all cold and they barely had anything on the plates for you to grab. The rooms could do with a little bit of a refresh. It’s also very hard to get in side with the construction. Had some wifi problems too. Not enough power to flush the toilet properly I had to flush 3 times. Some of the staff were trying to make us pay extra for breakfast. I’m not rushing to stay here again. Please lower your prices or fix your hotel. We always stay here and this shocked us terribly. Also we heard somebody’s power went out and they were banging on the wall trying to get somebody to come. It’s sad I have to write this review.

The hotel is fine, staff are great but the breakfast buffet is a bit sad. $36 a head and they play the small plate game. I would stay again but breakfast elsewhere.

The rooms are nice and clean, nothing special. Reception staff were fantastic when I enquired about getting a parcel sent to the hotel prior to our arrival. The only negative thing I have to say if that two of the lifts stopped working for a lot of people and we couldn’t access floors between 17-22 and there were no forks or knives or bowls in the room so we had to buy, not the end of the world but I’ve been to a lot of hotels with basic cutlery. A pool would be nice as well.

The hotel is in good location. Easy access to sky tower. When our flight got delayed and we had to checked in very late, the staff were super friendly guided us on how to park at the building next to the hotel and notify us do the access card every time we want to drive out to reduce the cost. But when we want to check out and get the parking fee sorted, one lady just let me “drop off your card and leave” even without looking at me. She was told I had a parking issue to sort out and wanted to reluctantly serve me. I do not think it was professionally done. I know there is an express checkout and she was busy, but she should be aware of other issues in the checkout process and do it politely to any customer. Hope she will not do that again to any other customers.

Great location! There may be public road works but we certainly couldn't hear any of the noise on the 25th floor. Views were amazing, the kids enjoyed the transparent elevator but most of all the staff were really wonderful. We even bumped into the Wallabies, as they were staying at the hotel as well.

Thank you cleaners! These stars go to the cleaners.. I was in room 2320 and it was so clean and well stocked.. I would have given 5 stars if the decor was freshened up. Friendly check in staff, helpful and available.

I am past halfway into My MIQ after spending time in Sydney with my family who live there. The staff, security, police and Air Force have been so efficient in looking after us. Love this hotel! So clean, great food and wonderful staff. I hope to stay again under less difficult circumstances. Thanks sincerely from me. Your attention and service is impeccable Paula

Stuck here in miq, Great and friendly staff, would be 5 stars except the catering has been absolutely dreadful, somehow made every dish a struggle to eat and Even have got a sore stomach from some of it. Chefs pleaseee pick up your game I understand there a lot of people to cater but compared to other miq hotels food from you guys is definitely rock bottom. Lots of love for all the staff aside from everything as they are doing their best to help us in this hard time!!

My visit was a nice experience. The room was comfortable and was a good value for the money. The people were great. The staff was great. Housekeeping, the restaurant, and the front desk people were wonderful. The location was great, but with construction everywhere, especially the subway, I would have stayed outside the downtown area. Plenty of parks, museums, the SkyTower, and short walk to the waterfront nearby. I was told construction should wrap up in 2025.
