We got 2 milks that were expired, the shower gel dispenser was empty no shampoo either! The room was so dusty, the door for the bathroom is all water damaged and the toilet roll holder is all rusted and weird looking. The fridge was gross the balcony door doesn’t lock the heat pump outdoor unit is all rusty also. Was not worth the $400 we paid and $250 bond. The staff were really nice and the bed was comfortable. Would not stay again

Handy to town. Nice views from some sides of the building. Didn't have any issues with the multi times I stayed there while I was having my test and surgery in Auckland hospital.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. At almost $400 a night, we expected at the very least, a clean room. As I was not the one to have this room under my name, instead was in the second room I did not cause the needed fuss, although I did complain. We travel to Auckland often and have stayed in many different places before on a regular basis. This was by far the filthiest place we have stayed in. The couch was so filthy, it marked my white top brown. Covered in dust and dirt, the only way to sit anywhere was to cover it with picnic mats. It was so disgusting that I wiped the couch with the hand towel so they could see all the black dirt on it. In fact, it was so disgusting I feel it should be shut down as a health hazard until the issue is delt with. Do NOT waste your money here. The only upside, was the staff member at the desk was lovely but there was no settling this issue. Still happy to take their $800

Absolutely brillant service. Could not have been better. Parry was beyond helpful kind and understanding. Parry guided us through with the utmost of care. Parry and his team were and are brilliant in an environment with tired stressed clients. Patient and awesome! 5 stars.

Overall I'm going to rate it at the lower end of 3 stars. The location is excellent but the hotel itself is really starting to show the signs of its age. We stayed in one of the two-bedroom apartments and whilst the layout was great, everything was worn and tired looking. The bedside lighting was of concern as the switches on every lamp had been damaged to the point where you could see the internal (live) wiring. The service from the front desk staff was okay. I'd probably only stay a second time if all other options were exhausted.

A no frills hotel experience. The room was clean enough and we got to take a good shower and get decent sleep for the one night we were in town. Wifi/Internet was a good speed. The location is great. Parking is not so easy, and the narrow streets around the hotel add to the challenge. Reception was closed by 21:30, even though we called ahead of time to make sure they were open late, and they confirmed that they are supposed to be open until 00:30. From our experience, the 2-bedroom apartment we were first assigned did not match the rooms in the online photos, which included a sofa in the living room. We brought the issue to reception and they were able to move us to another room that had a sofa without problem, which was appreciated. Not sure what would have happened if the hotel was completely booked that night. This was one of the more affordable places we could find in Auckland at the last minute, but don't expect much.

I would stay here again if I needed a cheap room last minute, but it's not an overly comfortable stay. Pros: The room was cheap, which was the best feature, the room was very large (one bedroom apartment). Cons: no air conditioning (very hot rooms), no TV in the bedroom, no standard TV channels, no side tables in the bedroom, the location could be a bit shady late at night being down the lane by the graveyard.

Wasn't expecting much as we were staying only to check out the night life in Auckland. As soon as we arrived we were looking around, and the toilet was still disgusting from the last guests.. when we asked to have someone come clean it, we were questioned about us causing the mess.. (even though they had literally seen us walking in with bags not 2mins before) there was also no hand soap in the bathroom either. Kinda just made us feel like the whole room wasn't clean properly. Next day at checkout they told us there was a charge because we had spilt water on the carpet.. Also the check in/out process is very elaborate, almost as if your signing your life away.. Will not be paying to stay here again.

Beds were comfortable and the location was fantastic. Had a room with 2 beds separated with enough room and good facilities. However, there's no mention of no air conditioning and when we asked about it they said you had to book a specific type of room to get it, but there's no mention of it anywhere on the booking site. Night staff male wasn't helpful either, asked for a extension lead for a fan and we couldn't get a lead until a much more helpful lady started in the morning

Windows were single glazed so a bit of noise of trucks taking containers to port all night and being opposite to hospital a helecopter landed on two nights in small hours. We had booked a room with city views which thought would have put us on opposite side of building but we were upgraded to a two bedroom unit looking out over suburbs!!! Room was clean and tidy and staff at reception were helpful, handy location. We were concerned about the type of people congregating at the entrance to hotel but we did not have any issues.

We had a fabulous time. Very clean and tidy room with a great view and amenities. Had all we needed. Nice and quiet and location was great. Very good value for money. Parking for us wasn't an issue at all and had no trouble getting in and out in our SUV. Make sure car is no higher than 1.9m.

If you plan to stay for more than a day, it is best to avoid this place. I stayed here for 4 days and they do not clean apartments daily. They said that they would do a mini clean on day 3. They did not. On day 4, when I demanded my room to be cleaned because the rubbish bin was overflowing, they just sent someone to empty the rubbish bin. And, if you have a car, then book in advance for parking and pay NZD 30 per day.

I stayed here back in March 2023. We got our stay upgraded for free, the rooms were beautiful (as well as the view), and was a short walk from the main streets. Definitely recommend the next time you're in Auckland!

Room upgrade was a nice surprise. :) Huge room, with nice amenities and comfy big bed! Only two things, is that I couldn’t find any good eating options nearby, so I had to take an Uber to get food. Also, you have to walk downstairs to get to the reception, which kind of feels a bit like a dungeon. Not great if you’re a female traveller, arriving at night, all alone… also, it’s right next to a cemetery… the service was quick and friendly!

The young gentleman who served us was very friendly and polite. He upgraded us to a 1 bedroom with a awesome view of the city and the sky tower. That evening was the best sunset ever. The room was spacious and clean and tidy. It was noisey from the busy street below (Symond St)but if you are tired you'll be fine. We slept with the balcony doors open was lovely. Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff with surprise room upgrade which was nice. Bed was clean. A few power plugs didn't work and failed to charge my phone. Old used bar of soap in the shower. Convenient location for Auckland city hospital and surrounding eatery and convenience stores.

Lovely clean rooms, couch was a little worn but to be expected. Still pretty comfortable. Everything we needed. Car park is a great price, but its pretty tight and a little scary

Undercover parking is not for larger car or the inexperienced driver. It is underground and every steep corner has the marks of previous vehicle impacts. Be warned. Be very afraid if you are not a competent driver.

Did not have the best experience with this hotel. Staff was okay but the Manager was very unpleasant to deal with. The room we stayed in could have had bed bugs or maybe fleas because the bed was very itchy to sleep in. The Air Con was broken. A lot of the amenities in the room were worn out. A bond of $250 was not mentioned or noted when booking online. It was a huge hassle checking in. Its location is not great either. It's quite hidden and right next to the Symond street cemetery. Would not recommend this particular hotel to anyone.

A very surprising beautiful swimming pool so unexpected, discreet, clean &deep. The rooms with the indoor window, something I've never seen, but now I have, wondering why it's place else I've ever been. I used to manage some of NZ's best 4.5 star hotels

Used to stay at this hotel often 10 years ago, the furniture is still all the same and is in major need of revamping. Carpets, beds etc are sadly very dated now. Has lost a lot of it’s class from 10 years ago. Lots of social housing long stayers staying here now. Reception was great, that service has always been fantastic. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, just need some updates done.

Room and location were nice, has everything you need to make going on holiday in Auckland easier. Had a situation where we were checking out and getting our room evaluated, had one of the hotel managers come out asking us about a stain which was only an accidental spilt cup of water, and the manager eyed us down, giving us a real nasty look and said "let them away with it this time" like she was about to charge us $250 for a water stain 😂 and then said "at least the room was clean enough I guess" when the only things we left messy were the beds. Highly recommend no one book a hotel that has a $250 deposit fee especially if the manager is going to be rude about a tiny mistake 🙂 Also the fan in the room wouldn't turn on without a remote and it didn't even come with a remote 😂 Plus there were cockroaches in the room which was pretty disgusting 🙂

Stayed here to attend a concert and we would never stay here again. It was in the city but was down a small one way road tucked behind another building so abit tricky to find. The receptionist who checked us in didn't smile or greet us and was not friendly or welcoming at all. We paid for on-site parking @$30 a night which we regretted immediately after we saw where it was located and how small and steep the entrance to the parks were. If your car is to high or to low or even to wide your best bet is to pay for the parking opposite the nesuto apartments @ the same price but with better access. After being checked in we found our room which didn't have a heatpump but instead a oil heater so if it's cold put in on immediately. There also weren't any extra blankets in the room so we had to call reception to go down and get more. The room definitely warmed up during the day which was nice and it did have sliding doors on to a small deck however it would get extremely muggy in the summer and there is no heatpump for air con or a fan. We did have an older lady who checked us out who was lovely. She was friendly and helpful which was really refreshing and made a huge difference in comparison to the younger lady who originally checked us in.

Had to stay here for a business trip, and if given the choice, wouldn’t stay here again. Rooms are old and well used/abused. Couches have tears and rips in them. No air conditioning or heating units in the rooms; you rely on open windows for temperature control. That’s a problem, because the window shades bang against the window all night when the window is open… so it’s either suffer from no sleep due to heat or suffer from no sleep due to noise. Room has a laundry washing machine but no dryer. Bathroom was dirty with old toothpaste (I hope) all over the vanity. Toilet didn’t flush very well. Shower is a tiny corner unit. Several outlets didn’t work; those that did are quite worn out and plugs don’t fit very well. Absolutely zero decoration on the walls. Lighting in one bedroom didn’t work (circuit breaker was fine). Internet sort of works, but was unavailable or unreliable for a majority of the time. Getting in and out of the hotel is a major chore, thanks to the steep road and the addition of stairs… you get to haul your luggage up and down stairs to get in and out of the lobby. Everything feels dated, grimy and sketchy. Not a fan.

Be careful with the on-prem undercover parking lot. It has a one-lane entrance and exit, steep and narrow. It’s not suitable for big cars or inexperienced drivers. The price is 30 dollars / 24 hours and i don’t think it’s worth it. I parked my car there for two nights, then used the paid secure public parking lot across the road. Though it cost me extra money, I didn’t want to take any risk of scratching my car anymore. The staff at reception were all friendly but I wish they could provide more information about the parking lot when i inquired. The room was okay, with comfortable bed and pillows, however, I knew my neighbor was cooking because I could smell it from a within my bedroom, which was not ideal…

Still in need af updating, but seems clean enough. The biggest blessing in my apartment was the internal bedroom (a G corner room), with no external walls makes for a great sleep, any time of day, although views were a bit restricted from that corner

I booked into the neusto st martins and then cancelled my booking after reading the reviews. I did this online and it was well within the 48 hours as per the cancellation policy. I was also sent a confirmation email confirming that my booking had been cancelled. However they called me in the early hours of Saturday morning 01:45 to be exact to query where we were. Due to some of the reviews of other people being charged for all sorts of things I had placed a block on my card. I am thankful I did as I think I would be chasing a refund if I hadn't.

This is my second time staying at these Apts and they never disappoint, always a good experience. Friendly staff at the front desk and friendly house keepers also. The Apts are walking distance to Queen St as well as K Road. Will definitely come back next time.

Not bad room for a apartment style accommodation. Kitchen not huge but has oven stove top full fridge and microwave. Smart TV connected to net we only a couple of satellite channels but good enough with your own streaming log ins. Car park but tight but got a full sized car in but I think a large 4wd would struggle. I stayed two nights in a one bedroom and was more than enough for me. It was clean and neat for one or two people few of marks on things but you get that in hotels. Will use it again my next stay in Auckland.

Stayed 2 nights with 3 teenagers. They were excited to take selfies from the deck as we were a number of floors up. That in itself earned 5 stars from them. Everything was spotlessly clean, a big roomy bathroom where the girls prepped for their night out. Amazingly quiet at night, despite the location, had expected street noise to be an issue. Parking was no problem either, again slightly unexpected. So handy to everything:- the city; motorway access; the stadium. Would definately stay again.

Amazing! Rooms were big enough for my family and I. Loved the service. Appreciate the receptionist help and the service provided on 1/10 upon check in! You're amazing!I forgot his name , but he's of Asian decent ( I assume) !

Bed was comfortable, and shower had great pressure, front desk staff was nice. Unfortunately that’s where the positives stop. Only one elevator is allocated to guests, which often leads to a line to get on the elevator, which fills up quickly. We had to wait 5 -10 minutes multiple times to get on the elevator. We also weren’t allowed keys for all the adults in our rooms, and the keys only worked for your floor. Since our group was separated on multiple floors we were unable to get to each others floors easily. We also lost power on our first night and they weren’t sure what caused it, and sending people to their rooms.

Was a pretty basic room. Some plugs not working or too hard to get to. Window latches also broken and very difficult to close. However the beds were comfy and clean, the room was clean and tidy and the service was quick and polite.

It's a good place to stay if you do not have a toddler. We got a 2 bedroom apartment. And there was only 1 window in room 2 that opened otherwise you had to open the balcony door which just was not safe for a roaming 15m old. Beds were comfy however parking is horrible as we have a lower than average car we scraped badly everytime 😫 and it's so narrow. So we had to find a different place to stay, the staff are super lovely and helpful we had a young asian gentlemrn serve us (forgot his name) and he was awesome thank you so much for helping our problems in the middle of being so busy.

Nesuto St Martins is situated at the edge of the city so its much easier than snaking through the maze that is the CBD these days. Public transport and parking options are all in very close proximity. We found the service attentive and warm. Just overall a great experience dealing with the staff here. Only downside is the lack of air-conditioning. And the couch in our one bedroom was quite worn down and looked dirty. This is very much an apartment-styled apartment and not a hotel type which I love but not everyone may desire this.

  • 5/5 Mani L. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent place in CBD. Extremely polite and helpful staff. Very tidy rooms. Mesmerizing view from top floors. Basement secure car park. Value for your money. Our family of 5 enjoyed the double room apartment.

they didn’t even make it clear that you pay $250 bond when you get there?! & charged $60 for a drop of water & said it could’ve been alcohol so they’re just being weary 💀 a literal joke. Don’t recommend & their customer service was atrocious. Came across one nice person working there & the rest of them were rude. Just don’t even waste your money, there’s other great places in akl to stay at for the same price 💓

We had an overall great experience, the free laundry facility is the most beneficial point to mention. Due to their location, the outside parking is very limited and you need to park in the basement (at a fee of course) which is also not as large as one may think. Also our room was near the alley to the main street, where you can hear youngsters chat and laugh in the early morning hours as they pass, but this wasn't a daily thing, maybe just weekends. However, room service was prompt, reception was very helpful in many administrative ways, our rooms were neat and clean upon arrival. And to mention one of the bulbs went out in the evening and the very next morning, maintenence was there to replace it :D . Would definitely stay with them again.

I wouldn't book here again. Not advertised it is used for emergency housing. So disappointed with the room we were given it was horrible and stunk of cigarettes. Inside of kettle was black with mould. Such a shame as we had stayed here 5 years ago and it was great. Don't recommend.

Booked my family to stay there for 2-3 weeks. Nessi and the staff were amazing and helpful all the time. We had an aircon issue in the first apartment that got resolved straight away, really appreciate it. The parking is quite narrow but overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thank you from the Frenchies 17h.

We were so disappointed with our stay at this accommodation and unfortunately, won't be back. The rooms were filthy, there were toenails and skin on the floor in both of our rooms. When we arrived, there were 2 garlic cloves and a week old hot cross bun in the fridge. There was an air con unit that didn't work - the outdoor unit base was so rusted that the fan was just hanging in there - we were on the 15th floor and it would be a massive health and safety issue if the heat pump finally decided to give way. We told reception the heat pump wasn't working, someone came up and put the unit on fan (which doesn't require the outdoor unit to work) and told us it was fixed. We had no soap and had to ask for clean towels three days into our stay. There was a $250 deposit required, with no mention of this at the time of the booking. They also do an inspection of the room before you're allowed to check out to confirm you will get the $250 back. There are 2 car parks available, otherwise it's $35 a night in their carpark or there is a Wilson Carpark next door. The only plus side was that the beds were comfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
