Location location location. Priced well for little apartment. You get what you pay for, but location is paramount. If you need to do something in the cbd and not expect to stay closed in your room, this is the place to be.

Disappointing customer service. Our flights were cancelled due to weather conditions with no option to rebook flights for the same day. We spoke on the phone with Kiran who was the manager at the time and was not helpful at all. There was no refund or any other credit option for us which is appalling. We spoke with Expedia who we had booked accommodation through who had requested a refund on our behalf which we never received a reply or callback for. We understand there is a 48 hour cancellation period however we weren't to know that our flights were to be cancelled until the day of travel and it was totally out of our control.

I've stayed at many Quests with great memories, however, sadly I can't say the same about Hobson St. Bed was hard as rocks, noisy location, curtains didn't close properly, and just a low standard. The only positive was the location. You won't find my name in the booking register as room booked under someone else. I would not recommend this place. 😔

Reception absolutely helpful, good location, kitchen very nice and all we need was there, completely commended!

Grim! Stayed at a few Quests but this one heck! One morning leaving the reception and homeless person asleep in the chair in the lobby. Facilities dated! Partner felt unsafe at night, should be advertised as Bronx experience.... Won't be going back -terrible Thanks for the response - that sums it up really! Room 412 I think from memory.

Great for a budget friendly work stay. Beds are comfortable, rooms are quiet. Internet is pretty average and the elevators are very slow.

Great accommodation, one of my partner and I go to places when we visit Auckland. The rooms are a nice size and beds are great. Prices are competitive for what you get. One reason for the 4 stars is the curtains in all the rooms we have stayed in haven't pulled right to the wall so light can still get in, otherwise they're nice.

A great apartment in a good location just by the Sky Tower. The room is. Average good size with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The bed was great, really comfortable and the benefit of a washing machine and tumble dryer meant we could dry our clothes. The only negative was how noisy it was, we were on the second floor facing the tower. We were woken before 5 am each morning by a car leaving the residential area next door with a ridiculously loud exhaust. Not the property's fault but the noise from that and the road split it. We would stay here and use this company again.

I wish i could give this accommodation a minus star rating. I travel for business which can be fairly taxing, so like to come to a clean, hygienic and reasonable up to date room. Not only was there moss or mould around the window frames, but the window was cracked and i was greeted with smashed glass outside one window and an entire neglected building site out the other. There were holes in the walls and the laminated menu that i got had some sticky substance on it with black hair stuck on. To make all of this worse the room smelt like urine and if thats not bad enough i was told by the hotel manager that i was wrong and that they wouldnt have me back to stay there again. I should think this would be perfectly acceptable considering their treatment and horrific facilities. Very dissapointing and a totally unacceptable way to treat a paying customer.

Customer service was non existent. Called ahead to confirm an early 12pm check in and onsite parking 2 days prior. On arrival (1pm) reception told us that check in is at 2pm. The lady at the counter seemed more interested playing on her phone than doing her job. She was super rude and told me check in was 2pm. I then explained to her that I got confirmation that I could check in at 12pm. She didn’t seem to care nor did she even bother asking if the room was cleaned yet or how far away it is. She then told me that I am not able to use the carpark till 2pm then advised me to park across the road at wilson. I gave up and ended up going back at 2pm. 28 HOURS AFTER check out I get an email saying that the room was damaged. They sent me photos of a broken chair that was not used or touched during our stay. They tried to charge me $250 for damages without my consent. I believe they are under new ownership, I have stayed there on 3 previous occasions and never had any issues. I would no longer recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other options which offer better value for your money. Would give this 0 stars if I could. Never coming back here again!!!

No where to park the car when checking in. Reception desk not attended over the weekend and door was locked. Was just lucky someone else staying there was at the door and let me in and called the manager for me so I could check in Room was clean and tidy. Requested a 2 bed apartment and was given 2 x 1 bed apartment with no adjoining door. Car parking provided but was a very tight squeeze. We had a corolla hatch and still struggled to park.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I booked to stay here for a concert that was cancelled due to the severe weather and flooding in Auckland. I cancelled our accommodation as soon as the concert was cancelled as this was an evolving event that turned into a state of emergency. We were unable to cancel before 48hours. I asked for the cancellation fee to be waived as there was no way we could travel to Auckland. It would have been unsafe and irresponsible. The staff on the other end of the email have been so unhelpful. I am not willing to take the credit offered that I need to use within 3 months as it still feels irresponsible to be planning travel into Auckland given the devastation and I also now have no wish to stay here ever after this ordeal. I am now out of pocked $370 for a room we could not stay in. My emails feels like I am talking to a brick wall and not an actual human. I do not feel like a customer. I am disappointed and disheartened as I have stayed at Quest Newmarket many times with wonderful service. A very negative experience.

Location is great. Just 5 min walk skytower bus stop. We catch Skybus from airport with bike bags. Perfect location. Rooms have washing machine and dryer . Perfect for cyclists. We will certainly back again for sure

Room smelt odd. Very cheap furnishings. Shower gel dispenser broken which was irritating finding out when already under water. Air con very loud and shower noise from other rooms kept me up at night. Also, right on main road which noise travels t rooms late at night too. Very noisy all round. Not dirty, but just well, a little grubby. No-one on reception when we arrived late (with a few others) and all had to wait until someone arrived 15 mins later. For $220 a night I would have expected not a lot, but a little more.

I had a wonderful stay at here. The location was perfect, close to many attractions, restaurants and shops, and I could even stare at Sky Tower on the balcony of the room. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great accommodation in the city. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I would not recommend saying here. Shower sprayed water on the roof, light globes out, asked to be repaired, not done. Took a seat at the desk seat in my room and leg was so wobbly it nearly broke, told the front desk and she laughed. The reply below is not factually correct. I did check-in late Monday, out Wednesday, let the team know of my issues first thing Tuesday and was assured it would be fixed when I went out all day. Got back and it wasn’t.

The carpet has stains, there are scuffmarks on the walls, the curtains have stains on, the windows are dirty and the beading of the windows looked old, the little milk pods in the fridge were old, it had a milk fat ring on the inside of all 4 of them. The hotel room felt tired and used. Very noisy, the window panes are so thin. It has a nice view of the Sky tower though. I was expecting more from a 4 star.

Very much enjoyed our stay here! Worth the money. Staff are excellent and genuinely nice. Very central across from Sky City. Room 202 had nice furniture and a super comfy bed. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry/dryer. Only reason for a 4 star is due to the cleanliness of the room itself - it needs improvement or new housekeeping staff all together. The roll of toilet paper wasn't new - and it was almost gone. Found a leftover soap in the shower from a previous guest. Lots of dust. I'm not a fussy person but it was very obvious. Also the air conditioning wasn't up to standard we were very overheated in the room that it became unbearable to stay in after 9.30am. But the staff, the layout of the room along with all of the facilities and at a very reasonable price made it an overall enjoyable experience. Will be back again!

Honestly a very good place to stay at, I’ve stayed here twice in the executive 2 bedroom suite. It’s very spacious and has all the facilities you need and in a very nice area with easy parking and access to the city. However, the second time around the staff were very poor and at the end of the stay accused us of many false things without evidence and refused to give our bond back. They changed their story twice and refused to talk to us over the phone as when we called they hung up. Nice place but poor communication. Adding to my initial review as I cannot reply to your reply - we take responsibility for more people than allowed but was definitely not 30 guests. Music was turned off or down and our guests left when asked, nobody was abusive or threatened you. Nothing was thrown off the balcony at all - you are again accusing us of this with no evidence. When we asked for the security footage (which you threatened us with because you said you had us on tape) you denied to show us (because there was none). You claimed you saw a bottle thrown from the balcony, but also claimed you saw security footage. One to say we hit a car and then later said we hit a person (2 different stories both untrue). As for the cleaning - the apartment was in not a good state to begin with, other reviewers have also said the same thing. You took part of the bond to pay for paint damages when they were there prior to our stay which means you have done the same with prior guests if these damages weren’t already fixed. If there were cameras in the lifts and the lobby, you can take note that we took all of our rubbish down to the basement level to the apartments’ rubbish collection area. Yet we were accused of not taking our rubbish at all. There was nothing provided for us to clean the floor ourselves. You also refused to speak to us over the phone when we called you and hung up. We WOULD take full responsibility of damages if we had done so or if you had evidence of our guests as you had said but we will not be accounted for false accusations.

Stayed at this place for the NY period and picked it due to it's location to the Sky Tower! Value for money was good considering it was the NY. Staff were friendly and polite, room had everything I needed. However, the air con was a major issue and kept turning itself off so we called for help and noone ever came.. corridors weren't clean and had bins and used towels on the floor. Luckily we spent most of the time in our room. Would I stay here again? Maybe.

Amazing hotel, has everything you need and feels like home. Would really recommend staying here. If I'm in town again I will be rebbooking the same place.

Our room was on 6th floor with a stunning view to the sky tower, however the room was dirty and the facilities have been set for only 2 people instead of 3 what we paid for. The shower was not clean, neither other parts of the room. Staff wasn't too friendly...

Had long hairs on the bed and curtains falling off the ceiling. Room was right on Hobson Street with single glazed windows so it was very noisy with loud mufflers and sirens going up the street. Air conditioning had poor control and was also quite loud. Stains on the carpet and poorly vacuumed. Unstaffed reception after 6PM on Sunday meaning drunk/drugged people are loitering in the entrance and reception area giving it an unsafe feeling.

Very clean, staff helpful. Location is great. However at the moment new buildings scaffolding all around...in saying that noise level low.

Really enjoy our stay, love how this place is so close to the city center and the Sky city. Look forward coming back in the near future. Only gripe about the room the air con didn't go lower than 18 degrees other function weren't working on the air con but still keep the room cool

Only booked here because of the location using SkyDrive and intercity busses. Apartments are easy quick walk to Skytower, queen street shops, the viaduct, queens warf and small markets. Lots of building construction around this area but we couldn't hear it. Nice small apartment with comfy bed. Felt cold leaving the elevator to enter the 4th floor and cold as I entered my apartment. Each time I put the heat pump on it blew a bit of cold air then stopped. So I didn't bother. Shower took a while to heat up but loved the Kiwi bodywash, shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the shower. The dishwasher was wonky as if a leg was missing so I didn't use it. Had everything I needed. Tv was personalised when I turned it on. Free movies loaded onto the tv. Check in was easy and informative. Would stay again for the location but not for the price I payed. Only stayed one night.

The welcome wasn’t overly warm the room was clean but average. Didn’t really feel comfortable going out in and out with people just lurking around the entrance

I had the worst customer experience with Quest on Hobson. Watch out for the small print in your booking where it’s says “free cancellation” I booked through Airnz and they were poor as well. Terrible behaviour in these covid Times

I was planning to stay for 2 nights at the apartment, looked great online. When I got there check in was late and the lady was so helpful and nice. The room was lovely and appeared clean. There were lots of people hanging around who appeared to be drunk and intimating. I am a young female who was going to be staying alone. Luckily I was with my brother who looked after me because I was scared from the other people staying. We found out it was emergency housing. I found the environment unsafe and intimidating, so I decided not to stay. Was disappointed about the lack of safety for vulnerable guests, the fact it is emergency housing should be disclosed more clearly
