We booked there for 3 and were happy about the website information, until we get there : - no parking spot (only the street) - no attendance between 1 and 4 pm, not written anywhere in the booking nor in the lodge website. - We called the manager at 12h50 he answered he was coming for our check-in, we waited till 4h20 to be served by the receptionist ...... - BBQ supposedly provided, but no gas and locked with a bike locker - NO lockers and NO bag storage, while advertised on their website - airport shuttle is just a taxi they book and you have to pay - 2 beds in our room, one not done - no towels included, while said on the booking website - no fridge or hair dryer, while advertised on their website - receptionist on site not helpful at all, and not concerned when we complained preferring to say nothing and waited. - basement rooms close to the laundry (no door) with no curfew, so noise all night - We talked to the manager about it, he doesn't care, our fault. In an other hand, WiFi and lounge are good, but not enough to overcome the lack of professionalism.

-The blanket supplied was damp -The staff wasn't friendly -The person who checked me in didn't make a note of taking my id a collateral for the room key so when I checked out they insisted they didn't have my id -in the lower floor bathroom the toilet it raised about 4 inches making it difficult to sit comfortably -one shower door doesn't open all the way, I have to turn sideways to fit through the door (i am by a large man) -the rooms are poorly ventilated and get extremely hot during the day. -no secure place to lock up bikes -reception has ridiculous hours making it difficult to check in or out Overall one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in.

Rooms aren't necessarily what are advertised. You get what you pay for... be aware showers have windows locked open. Room windows aren't always secure as in they rattle and a nice breeze comes in the shut window. Holes in doors. Won't be coming back.

Clean hostel. Kitchen is too small. Staff is ok. The shared room I’ve slept in didn’t have enough windows and it was suffocating. There are better places for he same amount of money. The location is nice but not good.

I chose the place because of the free parking. It's in a quiet neighbourhood with a neighbour that complains about every little sound and tries to get the place closed down. That's why there's no sitting outside after 21:30. You have to take off your shoes inside which I found unusual but not a big issue. The hostel is very clean and they have free wifi. The dorms are of an average size with lockers. The property is in good shape except for the showers which are rundown and require maintenance though the water pressure is excellent and warm. The kitchen is to small, that is really an issue. Cooking with more than 2 people is almost impossible. The property is about a 20 minute walk from downtown. The atmosphere was great though and I met a lot of nice people. I would stay here again.

Nice location, close to Parnell square and the french market during weekends. Place is smaller than the other lodge but kitchen space, toilet/shower stalls seem to be enough for the number of guests. I like the lounge area and the number of entry/exit points to get around.

It's an okay place. We came with backpacks from the station and it's just unbearable to walk. Very very steep roads. The walk to city centre is great, not too far actually (30 min. or so). Rooms were okay, showers outdated but nice after 2 months of campervanning. Reception closes in afternoon and though she said she would be back at 4. She wasn't there when we needed her. Bit annoying. Lots of rules like no shoes, no noise after 9:30. People sleeping here are just i don't know, doing nothing, just behind their smartphones.. a bit boring hostel. We liked to explore Parnell!

Well everything for me was reasonable and livable except for the flooring and the bedroom. There was always an awful smell because the flooring was carpet that was holding in the dirt and liquids that people dragged in with them. And then the beds didn't feel very clean. According to other people in the hostel at the time the linens would be cleaned sometimes and the comforter would just get a good spray of air freshener and that's it. I just slept on the couch most nights and that served me well.

Very relaxed hostel with not much space. Some long terme guest can make the ambiance a bit weird and make you feel like you are living in their own house. We got kicked out of the kitchen by a guest screaming at us. Hopefully this is not the rule.
