👍 We came at 3pm and they still open for lunch. Greeted by a friendly waiter. Vaccine pass scanned. Good ambience clean and cozy. Very reasonable price for 6 dishes. Each with good portion fed 4 teenagers. We ranked this from the best dish to the less one: 1. Spicy cumin lamb hand ripped noodle 2.beef... People often mention good, chicken, Chinese, service, fried, delicious, ordered, price, noodles, love,

Halal Chinese Restaurant!! I love this place, the atmosphere and the food were amazing. Tried a couple of their drinks and definitely great portion sizes for a family of 4. Didn't find anything that was a problem for us and enjoyed our time here. I liked the idea of writing down the code for what you wanted "B5, B1 etc.." on a piece of paper so it made it 10x easier to order your food.

First of all its Halal guys.. Second the ambience as a Chinese restaurant is too good. If you are a instagram foodie then yesss this would be one of the best place to come visit. Reasonable price, good quality, good portion except for the portion of mango sago. Customer service was alright .

Love this place for authentic halal Chinese food. Located in the heart of Auckland CBD with ample parking around, I recommend making a reservation to dine in. My favorites are their Japanese pan fried dumplings, Chicken dumplings, Sweet and sound chicken and their lychee soda drink. The ambiance is relaxing and modern. The price is not cheap, but definitely worth it! Highly recommend trying the delicious food here

Great place for authentic Chinese food in CBD. Their beef tenderness is the best in the whole country and spice selection is mind-blowing. Space is equally awesome for family and corporate events. Staff is super courteous and service is very fast. Communication might be an issue so I strongly suggest you to use the custom menu paper and write down whatever you needs are and they will take care of it without any problem. Tried their noodles and Pekin duck platter and it was enough for 3 4 ppl. Couldn't see any wheelchair access.

Outstanding Chinese food with a very authentic flavour. The atmosphere and interior design make it very unique too. The entrance is terrible, but once you climb upstairs is ok

I love this place 🥰 I’ll rate this place a 3.5 since there’s no option I’m mentioning it here. The staffs are friendly, lovely space, food service is good but their portioning seems to be reducing and price is increasing. Inflation, economical changes I UNDERSTAND but the price should be worthy of the portion to ensure customer satisfaction because I love this place. Their butter fried fish is DELICIOUS ✅ Fish Spring Roll is the best in Auckland ✅ Seafood stir fried noodles were divine ✅ (no pics this time as we had it a few months back) Vege & Tofu Stir fry was 50/50- Veggies were crunchy but it was too salty with too much of soy sauce. They have minimal options for vegetarians when it comes to dumplings 🥟, if they do add that it’ll be a winner and attract more vegetarians who love 🥟. I love fish, and their butter fried fish is 💯 Definitely will go back to have my usual faves but it’ll be amazing to see them adding more vegetarian and non meat options to their menu.

A concealed resturaunt located on the branches of the busiest street in the country. Chamate offers a large menu with very authentic and long loved dishes along with some more dishes which implemented new cuisines and a more modernistic approach, providing a new scope for chinese food. I will say, I was definitely pleased with the atmosphere of this resturaunt, a modern Chinese diner, with a lovely, ambient vibe to it with modern features plastered throughout. The food was very flavourful and had relatively large portions. A good amount of rice accompanied with a decent sized dish. The only part about this dining experience that was lacking was the attention we got as customers, although it was not busy during the time of our visit, we felt slightly ignored, and the service was not the best and could be improved. We saw our food sitting out, waiting to be brought to our table. Alas, the food arrived, but they were rather slow. Good prices, for those wanting a relatively cheap bite whilst in the city centre and wants to leave feeling satisfied and contempt.

I've come to this location on multiple occasions and the standard just seems to be falling. the positives, great interior decorations and excellent menu layout with pictures and clear pricing, and that's mostly where it ends. The service is mediocre, the fried rice is plain, did they forget to season? and had only 3 prawns, which were watery and tasteless. Could the dumplings be the hero? no actually a big dull zero. It could be the lack of freshness, or maybe their presentation was off putting. Won't be back for a long time if ever. Also dirty toilets, as a final slap on the face on the way out.

The Butter Fried Chicken was spicier than I expected but in the best way ever. Ordering was easy. Simply write your order down on the ticket they hand you, and you give it to a waitress once decided. We also got their Basque Cheesecake, which was the perfect ending to a spicy meal. The vibe was really lowkey, chill, and easy-going. 10/10 would recommend and go again.

I found a gems in the city centre. This Chinese restaurant serve good Chinese food. Every dish we ordered was satisfying. I travelled in a group of 6 with family. The kids love the sweet and sour chicken. I like the soupy seafood platters. Other dish are all flavourful, big portion and very good price. I’m glad that we have a family dinner here when we stop for a day in Auckland during our holiday

Wonderful gem! Friendly service, accommodating kitchen, and comparatively good value. Fantastic spot for some noodles and Chinese stir fry. Vegetarian stir fry noodles are amazing. Although it's not on the menu they made a custom vegetarian soup noodles for us that was fantastic!! Accessibility is the only downside as they're on the 2nd floor without an elevator.

I recently had the seafood degustation at this restaurant. While the freshness of the seafood was decent, I found the overall taste to be quite plain and lacking in flavor. I was hoping for a more vibrant and flavorful experience. The presentation was good, but it left me wishing for more excitement in the dishes. Hopefully, they can work on enhancing the flavors in their seafood offerings.

Very easy to order, it's a lovely spot that they've decorated well. We booked online an hour before (on a week day) and almost immediately got a confirmation. No difficulties at all, drinks were lovely and the food was great too. We do regret however getting only chicken dishes, we highly recommend getting a variety so that you can try many different flavours.

Cant believe there is a restaurant that is so cheap and delicious in the CBD! I ordered sweet and sour chicken. The chicken are so tasty and it is just $17.8! I also ordered a flu fighter and it is good too! Must try!

We ordered dry chilli with chicken fillet; it was just a plate of deep-fried chicken with salt. Even come with chilli, but the taste is not spicy at all. We also ordered stir-fried spicy noodles with lamb, described at Hungary Panda is Xinjiang style. As a local Xinjiang person, I have to say what we had is nothing to do with Xinjiang style. The water boiled fish is okay but nothing special. The environment is OK but truly needs to improve the quality of food.

Food was delicious very busy place as well. Very Spacious Service was quite bad because we came late and can feel staff were not friendly . Had so much leftovers had to takeaway. No alcohol they don’t have liquor licence. Will definitely come back on time in the future🤣

Amazing taste. It's in city so very approachable. Being vegetarian, ordered vegetarian fried rice and seasonal vegetables. The food was tasty, fresh and hygienic. Ordered spicy and believe me it was hell spicy, but I loved it. Visited again the next day and ordered same food. They are happy to accommodate your requests such as I asked them to not use oyster sauce.

I visit this restaurant 4 times. Now only have time to write review. I love this restaurant some of the food I order is meet my expectations and it delicious some of it below my expectations. My advice if you see a cheaper menu it's better to ask the waitresses how it serve. Just to avoid disappointment but overall I recommend this if you looking for a Chinese halal food.

Well, I walked by this busy place numerous times in the past two three years. Today I walked inside, ordered "Big Plate chicken" for lunch after consulting the friendly waitress. It was finger-licking good, arguably the best I have tried downunder. It's one of the top 10 dishes in Xinjiang, the Northwest of China. If you go there for your lunch break, this may not be a great idea, the cooking itself may take up 20 minutes. Good things take time, I have learnt that, never, ever to rush the chef. The dish is hot, juicy and spicy, with vegetables well-done like roast vegetables. So the best is the flat wide noodles, aka "belt noodles"as it sucks in the tastes from chicken, veges and spices; likewise, the second best is the potatoes, so juicy. The chef has done everything right in this dish, I will return to try others. As with other places in the city, parking may not be easy to find. It's often filled up quickly (I arrived early at 11:45), so booking may be essential.

Great food, great service. First dish came out not even 5 minutes after we had ordered! The butter fried chicken was our favourite. Plenty of leftovers to take home as portions are very generous, will definitely be coming back!

Visited with 6 of my office staff and all food had similar flavor, like all mixed with soy sauce. Decent size quantity. Nothing to comment much but will not entertain your taste buds for sure.

First of all, it's HALAL ☺️ Great food at a reasonable price, with good service and clean dining areas. Staff are very helpful and food comes out very quickly. Cumin beef was so delicious 🤤

Restaurant seemed very busy but severely understaffed on this day. The waiters were though were very lovely and apologetic of the delays. The food was worth the wait. The portions are bog enough to be shared. Variety on the menu is great to see. Lovely deco as well.
