Pretty good yum cha although the trolleys were a bit slow. I was really wanting prawn toast and kept being told that it was going to come out but it never did so that was sad! Friendly staff and even though the location is a little out of the way of the Viaduct it's not too bad if you're on foot. It was a tad pricey but this maybe due to the fact that the location is in the city. Newly discovered faves is the fried calamari, delicious fresh coconut buns and the yellow dumplings (not sure what the actual name is as I forgot to ask my colleague). Went here for yum cha with friends after a long time to catch up and my friend had booked the 12:30pm sitting on a Saturday. This is a good time if you don't want to be rushed. A few of my fave items are the coconut buns, congee and sautéed green beans.

Amazing food and great customer service. Was staying at a hotel at the viaduct and felt like some good gourmet chinese food late night, this place was it! Tipped the guy $20. Definitely coming back next time I'm here

Came here a few times and it’s probably the top dim sum places in Auckland CBD ! Big fancy venue and great tasting food. The only down side is that some staffs don’t tell you what’s in the trolley , they expect you to know or just for time convenience hence don’t tell you.

Food was really good but service is too rushing and bad. The staff didn’t explain much about food, and expected we to understand Chinese which we couldn’t. Price were more expensive than what they posted on their website. We didn’t order tea, but they still brought it to us and charged us at the end. I think it’s hard to take only good food to compensate for whole bad experience we had today.

Grand harbour is an old favourite. The chicken feet here is probably the best around. Siumai is the best in Auckland. Don't get the sweet and sour pork. Not good.

Not my favourite but it's good enough. Location is exceptional so after a big meal you are welcome to walk along the pier. Yam Char, not the best in town yet fairly delicious, you can definitely have a great time. Different trollies push all those signature dim sum around which brings you the memory of Hong Kong in good old days.

The ultimate Yum cha venue in Auckland for over past 15 years during lunch hour. Only issue is some serving staff do not speak English well, so it is difficult to correspond. The dim sums are brilliant and big grand hall.

Authentic flavours, generous portions and reasonably priced. The staff are great, super attentive, they don’t miss a beat. We have had a long break between visits and the staff still remembered various personal things regarding our last visit. I think that level of attention to detail makes all the difference. This restaurant is in a great location, the yum Cha is top notch. I would recommend to anyone

Worst Restaurant Everr Do Not Go. Should have read reviews. Maggots? Yuckk. not worth my money I guess. I recommend Lucky Star Restaurant in Papatoetoe if you want a 5-star Chinese Restaurant Didn't know I could get sick of lobster but i did i guess. Service was okay don't expect much. Someone's hair fell in there it was stuck in the noodles. And it's not mine I'm a girl. With long hair. Welp I'm throwing it away. $245 down the drain. Poor lobster did someone waste your life. Amazing experience. I just completely lost my appetite and feel a bit sick I hope I'm okay, probably just the coke. 0 Star thank you so much for the worst of experience I've ever had with a restaurant though I haven't been to very many. Whatever tired of talking gl with your shop.

After a slow start food was served at a good pace, quality was mostly good to very good, with the exception of the S & P Squid, which was very chewy and tough. We were seated by the kitchen door, which was a bit noisy at times. Party of 10 celebrating a birthday.

The food was great but they to up the service alittle the staff were great but our table was 11 people and they forgot to take the order when we were ready we had to walk to the front desk to order. We can't just pick and order as soon as we walk in. Didn't know to have lobster it would cost almost 2 weeks of groceries. sad we couldn't get to taste it.

The dimsum has a great quality taste to it and it can be expensive. Great place for dimsum in cbd area close to harbourfront and qt hotel. Well the service is great and the waitress mostly young teens and keep offering the goods. All tasted yummy and had not visited this restaurant for more than 3 years but they are still providing great food and service

I've had a fantastic time here. We came as a family of 4. 2 adults, 2 kids. The staff was very welcoming and the selection of food was great! Spinach and prawn dumplings, duck, roast pork, and taro dumplings were spectacular! We loved the jasmine tea as well. Golden yolk buns were very delicious too. A little pricey overall but well worth it.

Yumcha not usually my thing but we went for a farewell lunch. Food was nice, I'm not a seafood fan but the other dishes on the table were delicious. Service was great, atmosphere was nice. Lots of people for a Monday.

Good food but we were appalled by one of the workers suddenly grabbing my friends' drinks that they bought outside while we were in the middle of a conversation. The woman should have politely tapped us on the shoulder and asked our friends to put their drinks away. Very unprofessional and unbecoming behaviour from one of your staffers.

Been a here a few times, it's a little pricey but you sort of expect that being by the viaduct. Recently had Yum cha there with my wife and son. I got a dozen dishes however 2 dishes where below average the beef balls had no flavoring at all so felt like eating jelly meat. The dry shrimp rice roll was ordered and it was very sad and dry looking, it tasted the same as well. I had a third dish (chicken rice in bamboo leaves) but I returned it, it tasted like blue cheese or something was off. Besides that the rest of the dishes were good. Mixer of young and old staff. It's a busy place, so when we ordered something it was a little delayed, or forgotten. One thing I am all aware of is when they write stuff on your tab double check it. For some reason they charge my little boy for tea so I got that change before paying. Reasonably clean. Last time I came was about 3 years ago, it was good food and average service. Sorry Grand Habour but for the price you pay they need to be a little more consistent with the food and sharp on the service. See you in another 3 or 4 years.

WE HAD A FAMILY DINNER HERE, ABOUT 8 PEOPLE.. THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND ON TIME... MY FAMILY ALSO LOVED THERE CORN SOUP 🍲... LOTS OF SPACE INSIDE AND ALSO HAS OFF-STREET PARKING AVAILABLE. (PARKING FINE MAY APPLY) GREAT VIEWS AROUND THE HABOUR IF YOU TAKE A WALK DOWN.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND ALL RACES ARE WELCOME 💯 💯👍

Just ordered takeaway from here. Person on the phone didn’t have much information. Lady on front desk was really rude. When we realised the dumplings were not pork as we asked but were seafood she said we cannot change as it’s already being cooked (we still had to wait 10mins however) $30 for 6 dumplings - outrageous! Well actually it was Dim sum- not dumplings. Sweet and sour was good - apart for a piece of plastic found in it. Wonton noodle soup me tasted like Maggie chicken noodles. Really expensive, came to $93 for 2 small dishes and one standard size I would not recommend

After a long walk I was craving dim sum. We walked here, and from the outside it didn't seem busy. But once we got in I realized that the restaurant was pretty big. They had the dim sum carts that went around. We got pork shu mai, chicken feet, different dumplings and rice cakes. It was good enough. The only challenge was the carts stopped going around after 230p. Maybe because the restaurant closes at 3pm. I am sure if we wanted more we can just ask.

Mediocre tasteless Chinese food. We ordered items from "chef's special" but was left disappointed. Waitresses were unfriendly and rude. We asked for more options but was given a one word answer. Please look to retrain your staff with basic customer service and table manners. We were here for dinner, maybe lunch will be different because it's often busier? Either way, we won't be returning.

The meal was delicious! service is disgusting. Today we asked to bring water 6 times. After 25 minutes, they brought 2 glasses of water for three people. After another 15 minutes, we had to go and look for water ourselves. I really didn’t like the girl waitress, who rudely threw paper on our table on which dishes are entered for payment. 20 minutes before closing there was no food and desserts. Alas.

Come here if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant with good Peking duck in Auckland CBD. The dishes here we're kinda hit or miss. Some dishes were well executed whereas some dishes were not. Ordered dishes: - Peking duck 👍 - Steamed chicken with ginger sauce 👍 - Sweet and sour pork - golden prawn balls with salted egg yolk. -beans with olive and pork mince. - prawns noodles. - steamed fish with soy sauce 👍 Peking duck: 7.5 Crispy skin, good duck flavour. All together tasted good in the wrap. The bits of vegetables and prawn crackers providing good texture and hoisin sauce just tying everything together. Steamed chicken: 7.5 The whole chicken was cooked extremely well. Even the chicken breast was nice and soft which is a great sign of a perfectly cooked chicken. Ginger Sauce really lifted the chicken as it provided alot of flavour. Fried fish: 7/10 Fish was really nice and fresh! Fish was cooked well as the flesh was soft and flaky. Beautiful venue, beautifully presented and delicious food. Unfortunately the venue has an odd shape and a big pole near the entrance, some guests will be blocked from the view. Some staff were visibly stressed and overwhelmed, due to short of staff. Other than that, it is the best Chinese restaurant we've been to.

Excellent yum cha. This is one of my me-time places. Only downside is I could never catch the soup dumplings as they always run out! They say you’ve to be there really early to get it and so I’ll try again soon. Favourites: sticky rice, beef in rice noodles, honey chicken, actually anything is good. So for me once you have that anything-on-the-menu guarantee, the average price point is fair. Service is also great; very helpful and on the ball.

Went there for lunch. Was very busy with long queues of people (some have been waiting 30 mins). Managed to get seated in around 10 mins. We ordered proper dishes, but was not great. The pecking duck somehow just tasted like chicken instead of its usual strong, gamey taste. Possibly rushed since they are more focused on yumcha for lunch. It was very lackluster for the price. Service was surprisingly good despite how busy they were. Staff were very accommodating not just to us but other tables.

Very expensive for yum Cha, went twice over 3 weeks. First time $45 each, second $60 each. This is the first time I've felt like a second class citizen/minority. They sat us down the back both times and the good food doesn't make it there. The dirty dishes sat there until almost end of session. Drinks order took more than 15mins. The servers make very little effort to tell you what they do have, probably knowing they have only the undesirable dishes left... Not coming back.

It was our first time here. It was absolutely packed full with people but we were taken to our table with only a few minutes wait (we did book, which I highly recommend). Food came around quickly and a good selection of dishes were on offer. I thought it was very expensive compared to other places I've been. It cost $180 for 3 of us (that excludes drinks) and we ate a normal amount of food, nothing excessive. If it wasn't so expensive I'd have given it a 4 star rating.
