It's a big park that borders other reserves like the Opanuku stream reserve. Most of the walkways are even and paved, but there are also reasonable "off road" tracks. It gets a bit muddy and slippery after rain, so maybe stick to the paved areas during those times. It's very dog friendly. Unfortunately the gate is closed because of lockdown, and there is very limited parking. There is a map that highlights some places of interest. There are also signs that indicate how long the walks are, and some start from 8 minutes, and others go up to 22 minutes. It's a very gentle, relaxing walk with friendly people, and very friendly dogs

One of the most underrated bush walks in Auckland. This park features a half-to-one hour stroll through a forest along the Opanuku stream, connecting all the way south into Henderson Vally Park. Walkway on gravel, boardwalks, and bridges. Park contains a toilet, several entrances with parking, frisbee golf goals, and huge fields fantastic for outdoor activites and picnics. Bush is comprised of many native plants including Kauri, Kanuka, Cabbage trees and ferns. Birds such as Tui, Morepork, and Fantail may also be spotted in here.

Great park for riding a bike or taking the children for a walk or a child in a stroller. Huge green field. Ideal for a picnic, playing or running and it’s away from the road so safe for children. Excellent for walking dogs too.

Pleasant park. Lovely long walk if taken through to lower Henderson valley road. Very pleasant scenery. Lots of small walk ways leading onto it from surrounding streets. Always looks clean and well maintained. There's a Bush walk to be had directly behind the toilets as you enter from the carpark. That's a very easy walk. Would give it a higher rating, but sure there's ones better ones tobe had in other parts of Auckland.

Mint place! Has bars for adults, frizbee golf,a great walk way and massive field. They often have events on down there or paired with corbans estate. There's rugby, touch and soccer goals available. Great safe place for the family to go to. Has a fair amount of parking depending on what entrance you go in. There are toilets there however not normally kept in the best condition, you have been warned.

Nice wide open spaces for sports, but parking is limited. Could have had an overflow on the grass area for extra parking when place is full. .

Loved all the memorabilia and the service was excellent with mad keen sports fans serving the drinks ready to have a chat about some sports event or the other. Such a great atmosphere

Pleasant park for picnic or round of disc golf. Some soccer goals and good area to kick a ball around. Limited walk tracks by the stream and plenty evidence of January 's flood damage. No real playground for children. Toilets were all locked up on day we went being a Sunday. Plenty of parking. Good for walking your dog but if you want a descent bush walk this park doesn't really have it.

Not a bad place for a walk and explore but beware of flying Frisbee and dogs off leash that bite your ankles.

We often come here to walk but today we brought food to eat and sat under one of the many trees. Evn though close to the road and railway it is still a nice quiet place.

Lovely big park. Came here with our kid for an event organised by Auckland Council. The park itself is very lovely with tracks for biking and walking. Lots of huge trees too. The park has multiple entrances and a kids playground too

Beautiful park. They make movies here, and no wonder. Stunning natural landscape. Nice and flat for those who struggle with walking or running on hills.

Great location for rugby. We went to watch a weekend game and the kids loved it. The field was in great condition, and there was lots of places to play (a small playground and a forest area). The parking was also small but we managed to find a spot. The streets around the park were double parked though and very difficult to navigate.
