Overall, it is a good gym, but they always give the customers a "we want you to leave now" vibe, even before the gym floor closes. During summer time, the staff usually come up to the woman's section and close most of the windows 15 mins prior to the closing time, and it got absolutely hot I just had to leave early. Today, one of the cleaning crew started vacuuming the floor from 6.20pm - again prior to the floor closing time. You should know some people only have a fixed time for gym and that could be around the closing time but still want to make the most out of it instead of being pushed out of the place earlier than it's supposed to be. Treat your customers better when you want to claim yourself the "fancy" gym of NZ.

I enjoy the classes, I normally do 2 classes a day 6 days a week. However the instructors play the music to loud in the classes. I’m sure if they test the decibels, they will discover that it is high enough to cause serious long term injury to someone’s hearing. They do provide hearing protection however, it is not always fully stocked so you might show up and have no hearing protection available. Hearing protection is also the last resort, that should only be considered when you can’t eliminate the hazard but speakers can simply be made softer which is the best solution to eliminate the hazard.

Worst services Ever Gym closes hour later but staff starts packing there bags asap 1 hour before, aircons, light's are switched off. It's not for people services which they pay for but staff convenience. I have just been twice and I am paying more than $ 500. Out dated weight equipments Branch Managers are so well trained to put you under one year membership for there gain and your losses and then they send it to credit company to take there money.

I highly recommend this gym! It's one of a kind with both studios and a gym, and there is a lot of equipment available. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The gym has a nice vibe overall, but some of the equipment could use an update.

Says the gym closes at 8pm but you are kicked out at 7.30pm. This happens for every time on the website, gym floor closes 30 mins before. The "female" gym has male PTs and male staff who come around at 7pm closing all the windows when it's boiling hot. Also - NO AIRCON ! Machines are pretty dated, almost impossible to book onto classes. Granted when you get a class booking it is good, runs on time and is delivered by nice enthusiastic staff. Overall just not worth the hype or the price in my opinion. Been to much better.

Good classes but I’m sick of Les Mills continuing to charge me after I’ve cancelled my membership. If they want to be a reputable company they need to honour their cancellation policy and fixed end dates. The first time I was with Les Mills I cancelled as per the notice period due to moving overseas only to realise they had continued to charge me for months afterwards. Recently, I visited NZ and asked for a fixed/short term membership whilst I was there and they assured me it was fine and I didn’t need to provide notice to cancel as my contract has a fixed end date. I later discovered I had been charged over $100 more than what was agreed for the contract period and I had been charged for another month after the end date. They refunded the money both times and were apologetic but this was only after I had to go through my bank statements and raise complaints so they could rectify the problem. Seems like pretty sneaky behaviour to me…

Membership prices have increased, and the main lifting area has been under construction for months. The steam room has never been back in operation, and the hot pool has been under maintenance for over 2 months now. Moreover, the sauna has also stopped operating. It's shocking how these issues keep arising while they charge us more for our membership without proper maintenance.

Why can't the people that run this chain understand that no one care that you can use the changing rooms for 30 mins after the gym floor closes. LIST THE ACTUAL GYM FLOOR HOURS. Secondly why do I pay so much money for cleaners and staff to get in the way close to closing time.

Cancelling a membership is near impossible. Despite having written and verbal confirmation of cancellation and authority to process the cancellation payment from my bank account they won't close down the membership, insisting I have to attend the gym to pay via CC (no thank you and against fair consumer guidelines) or call them and give my CC over the phone ( to a company who has no security or controls in place for managing that information. I may as well just publish it here). They need to get their Member Services team on the same page as the rest of their organisation which is world class.

Best Les Mills in Auckland. The refurb is great, free parking and huge amounts of space to train in. Highly recommend if you’re in the city and looking for a gym.

This is a world class fitness centre and the home of the very first personal training programmes. Their exercise classes are now sold into fitness clubs all over the world. This building is the home of the very first Les Mills gym so is full of history. It’s also a large gym with separate men’s and women’s gyms.

I’m a member of Les Mills. Group classes are amazing, my personal favourite is Body Attack (High intensity Cardio workout), Conquer (Boxing) & Body Balance (Yoga & Tai Chi).

Absolutely love this place, but… there were 2 women that came into the gym, didn’t workout and set up tripods to take a billion selfies and even taking selfies on the equipment so people couldn’t use it when they weren’t even using it to actually work out :/ was very annoying.

Got to agree with some of the other reviews that the environment here is not very positive. However, equipment and space is great and a ton of squat racks which rules.

If you're a Les Mills fan then you'll love this place. So many classes, huge studios, loads of equipment and space, quality instructors, friendly staff. Exactly how you would imagine a Les Mills flagship club to be.

Substandard for a gym this pricing level , sauna always not working , cold plunge inconsistently available. Yoga classes is meh . I say bring on equinox , virgin active to auckland .

This is the gym I ended up sticking to because of their facilities, cleanliness, and location. Price is okay, but there are certainly other gyms with better deals out there. If money is an issue for you, I do not recommmend this gym

Great facility. One of my favourite gyms in the country, most of the staff are awesome. Great variability in workouts

Huge variety of equipment here, and I particularly appreciate the women only section that is also well-equipped. I would give 5 stars for that, but unfortunately it is sabotaged by the sketchy customer service, at times giving off the impression that they really do not have much regard for the members. Some things are also unusable and in desperate need of replacement.. check out this barbell pad. Edit: bumped up the stars as they promptly replaced the old barbell pads!

Great place. I've heard it's full of posers. I didn't feel that when I was there. People seem really friendly. The women trainers and the PI and Māori trainers are the bomb

Great gym. Huge space with many different areas and equipment, including a ladies-only area. Two huge studios with lots of classes available, plus studios for boxing, functional movement and cycling classes. Offers free parking up to 2hrs, and a cafe and cosmetic clinic out front.

Another amazing Les Mills Gym. Huge "The Trip" class as awesome instructor... Go to the main change room tho, the tiny one in the main exercise area is tiny.

I love it here! I found my first personal trainer and enjoy working out every single day. There are so many group classes and choices to choose from. I have met so many great fitness partners, and the atmosphere has a great vibe! I feel stronger and stronger every day!

If you need motivation in your fitness journey, this is your place! Great trainers, excellent classes and great facilities. I have returned to Auckland, and I joined back Les Mills, without a doubt, after trying other gyms in the area. Well done, Les Mills team. 👍🏽

Great gym, classes and instructors, however missing the drippy sauna and spa that we used to have in the women's changing room...

  • 2/5 Jonathan B. 1 year ago on Google
Good gym but man the lack of general maintenance is annoying. Ths sauna was essentially out of action for a month and the steam room completely decommissioned.

  • 5/5 Gaurav G. 1 year ago on Google
Everything a fitness freak needs, they have got so much to do, number of classes, open workout area and lot more! The cycling studios is too good, it’s like an illusion and ends in great workout!!

Huge gym with lots of equipment to do different things - functional studio, cycle, boxing, strength training, cardio, classes- just to name a few. There was also a gym/space especially for women. Changing rooms were huge and there were plenty of toilets, showers, sinks and lockers.

  • 5/5 James A. 1 year ago on Google
Biggest of all the AKL Les Mills gyms. Parking easy, lots of equipment and classes. Staff are great - helpful without being over the top.

There were two problems I found when going to Les Mills. The first was the number of virtual classes every day - it’s a money-saver and quite frankly ruins the experience. If I wanted a ‘virtual’ class, I would have searched one up on YouTube. The second is an issue with ‘Ceremony’ - the concept is great, but if you’re like me and enjoy a HIIT workout every day, then you will be bored out of your mind, because this class does not change for an entire week. That’s 21 classes that are exactly the same. It gets boring and feels like minimal effort from LM. Other than that it’s fine. Nothing special really. Will be going back to my old gym once it reopens in mid Jan
