Once upon a time, this center held a glimmer of joy in its heart, beckoning visitors with an array of delightful shops and tempting restaurants. Among them stood the enchanting haven of knowledge, the beloved Borders book shop, where bookworms found solace and adventure. Yet, as I wandered through its hollow halls today, my heart sank like a stone. The once vibrant place now lies desolate and forsaken, like a ghost town haunted by memories of happier days. The few remnants of life linger on in the form of a lonely cinema and an empty bowling alley, but they are mere echoes of the past. I couldn't help but feel a profound sadness as I walked amidst the emptiness, the silence enveloping me like a shroud of sorrow. It pains me to witness the decline of a once-thriving hub of activity, now reduced to a shadow of its former self. In the midst of this desolation, I found myself yearning for a glimmer of hope, a lifeline to revive this forgotten place. Perhaps, if they extended a gesture of compassion, like offering free parking for three precious hours, it could breathe life into the barren spaces and lure people back to its embrace. Alas, the dreams of its once bustling past now lie shattered, leaving behind an ache of lost possibilities and unfulfilled promises. How I wish this sorrowful tale could end differently, with laughter and joy returning to grace these forsaken walls. But for now, it stands as a melancholic testament to the passage of time and the fragility of cherished memories.

Really sad. It’s a dilapidated old building now, and a shadow of its former self. The ground floor is all torn up from half done construction. The food court is gone, it’s poorly lit, and, it’s hard to navigate around. I’d only go back if I wanted to see a movie in IMAX, otherwise I’d give the whole place a miss.

Its a great place but you have to make a purchase if you wanted to go to the toilets, which is how I wet my pants. I am 13 years old and why is that so tough for everyone? Please make the toilets free or I will have to pee in my pants again.

Jan 2023 - apart from the gaming room that exists here, many shops gone, the food court and lots of areas boarded up. Was once a cool place to go but now in bad shape. Hope it lives again, one day.

First time here and super confused if this place is up for renovations or closing down, looks rundown, dirty, cold and unwelcoming. Went to explore the area and found places closed off, told not to enter. 5 levels of entertainment, all accessible via a spiral staircase, escalators or a very cool rocket. The only places open from what I could see (Nov 19th) were Event Cinemas, Metrolanes and Game On. No restaurants or intentional food places, that level was shut down and anything else was closed and being gutted. Felt like I should have come here years earlier when it was in its prime. I hope this place is able to stay open and get a facelift. Sky World has the potential to be a timeless adventure in Auckland.

Pretty appalling appearance wise. From just entering via the steps, you can smell the piss from the homeless that sleep there at night. Then you enter and everything is barren and boarded up, there are only a few businesses that still run inside there such as the cinema and the bowling alley, those places are surprisingly good given that they are inside skyworld. I know that covid really hit this place hard, but it sucks looking at the state of this place pre and post covid times and how drastic the look of the place is now. One last thing is the steps, not sure if this is just me but I find it really confusing trying to leave the place, you can't leave the same way you entered. I enter from Queen street but can only ever find an exit onto Wellesley st, just a mild annoyance.

The toilets are locked and we had to find someone to show our receipt in order to use them as customers. The food court is half closed because of the covid and the place isn't what it used to be like. 😔

We can find all here in one place. Event cinemas, Multi cuisine food court, and gaming zone. If you feel bore inside and like to feel relax one step outside to aotea square.

Nice spot, lately I love bowling and didn't know they have the option to play with little ones using a sort of ramp, but not only that because the 'mini' bowling is enjoyable for adults as well. Nice staff, good service, good space.

Planned to play some bowling but got there and told after 5pm under 18's can't participate which is a bummer as 5 of my 6 kids are under 18, so we couldn't do anything as a group and had to go in the arcade play some games and for 6 kids it is quite expensive🤦🏽‍♀️

Empty shell of previously bustling area. Given amount of empty premises surrounding this space you are left with the feeling it's on borrowed time.

Save for the Game On arcade, Metrolanes and Event Cinemas - it is absolutely not what it used to be. I tried to get to Daiso through the Metro entrance, but ended up at a dead end. Quite a shame that it ended up like this.

Main reason for going is the warehouse, few shops but nothing special, along the road you will often see people injecting but rarely bother people.

We did bowling which although fun was very expensive $18 per person per game $7 a game of pool Food $15 for chips $20 for onion rings. Staff friendly but love the music so loud its hard to talk. Can't lie the place was busy though.

Stay clear of this place! The building is a mess—dusty, tattered and nearly abandoned.

Just walking through the carpark to level 1 is enough to ruin my day lol the place is depressing aside from the cinemas

Clean up the entire area!! The outside smells like urine, it's honestly disgusting. The whole lay out of the building is so confusing, do better

I would recommend coming to this Venue some sections are still under renovations, that would be more things to come and it would add more Excitement to the Surprise.

Nothing much for shopping here. Seemed like for movies, bowling and food. There's a foodcourt at the basement with varieties of food from asian. The Coffee Club, Papparich, and the Viva Italian restaurants are also in it.

Great food court and movies. Many seats. But the wifi doesn’t work. It’ll be much better when your wifi is functional.

Went with sis and housemates to watch wonder women 1984. It was an amazing experience. Loved the movie and also loved the theatre. The sound and picture quality was good. Good place to enjoy, have some good food, plays games in game on, bowling and more. Thank you.
