I really disappointed with their customer service… Employees are not qualified at all and do not know basic rights and rules. Even the manager doesn't know them, that is sad. “The retailer can’t charge more than the displayed price. Any price misrepresentation is likely a breach of the Fair Trading Act”. Check the prices on the tags with the real ones while checking out. The tag said the magnet is 6.90$ but the real price was 9.90$ and none of them know about the customers right in that case. They asked me many times to grab different magnet if I need it for 6.90$. But they had to sell it for 6.90$. Horrible! Will never come back.

I bought this comfy cashmere cardigan two months ago at this lovely souvenir shop by the waterfront. The texture is super soft and warm. I was truly impressed by the optimum service provided by the gentleman who speaks both English and Mandarin very well. Always inviting, helpful and professional :). Thanks a lot !

Somehow in NZ we allow these people to sell Shark cartilage supplements. Disgraceful considering the 90 million sharks that are killed each year for these types of "medicines" that have actually no benefit. Amazing what people will do for profit. Please do the right thing and avoid.

I loved this shop! The ladies are so nice, they have a lot of options and the price is really good. And the place is well located. I bought a soup mud for men ($8,90), a hand cream mud + green tea and tea chamomile ($13,90); a Lanolin night cream combination with oily and collagen + placenta + propolis ($15,90). I bought other stuff in a different day but I cannot remember because it was a lot 😂

I would like to share my experience with this souvenir shop and tell you the story. We lost our Kiwi plush before coming back to France last year, and I asked the souvenirs shop to send us back a plush by post. First of all they were really fast to answer us. The bank transfer was ok. Until the French Postal office didn't find my place or maybe there was problem on the box... But the plush comes back to Auckland! Then Aotea Souvenirs send us back again the plush and we get it !!! Thank you so much for your patience and your kindness. The store is full of very nice things with really good quality. Don't hesitate to visit this store! Thank you again; I miss NZ and all this kind of nice people. All the best.

Great souvenir shop with plenty of health products, skin care products, snacks etc. Could be a bit pricey but the quality are guaranteed. Bought five skin care products and got another one for free. While I was walking half way back home, I had a look at the receipt. it charged me seven products which the staff scanned one extra. Had to walk back again and get the refund. This stories tells you to get your receipt after purchase and look at how items you are paying for. Overall, I would still recommend this store.

This shop should be closed. They had ripped off travellers money. Be careful, Their price is way much higher than others. They may offer $100 discount every $500 purchase, while the opposite OKE GIFT SHOP is selling $61 cheaper of the same product. Price from OKE GIFT SHOP is much cheaper + sales person can offer 5% discount on the top of that. The manager lady name SANDRA rejected a return item as she said it’s their company policy (i am sure there are many people has been asking for return in the past). I realized the review from another person below is true, seller is dishonest and impolite by laughing at customer when it comes to complaint. They only focus on ripping off your money.

Such a great experience! The price was reasonable, the set out was good and the staff were amazing. The staff made the experience so much more fun and were so friendly and genuine. Definitely recommend this place! And the quality is great

Very disappointed with the service I got at this place. I usually have great experiences at souvenir shops, but Meera and Becky had poor customer service. I bought a few items and they neglected to tell me there was no return policy. As someone who has worked retail work myself, I always notify customers of this. And other New Zealand establishments do too. When I came back with the receipt within an hour to say I couldn’t keep the items because they were too big for my suitcase they refused to take them back because of the no return policy only exchange. I hadn’t used them and the tag was still on them. They weren’t even luxury items. Just knick knacks. They claimed it was my fault because I didn’t ask and didn’t see their tiny sign by the register. They were not accommodating at all. This happens to me all the time being American where I am taken advantage of in establishments. In addition to that, the people in the store were not helpful at all in general. No greetings, no offering of assistance. I added a photo for reference. Not expecting anything from my review, I just think others should be warned that the place is final sale because they can’t afford returns. I was under the impression this was a huge business. I expect this from a small business. But I was in utter disbelief. I added a photo of the items for reference. Update: Definitely should have read the reviews before coming here.
