Staff is improperly trained. This place was OK for general check-ups, much more expensive than other Vets tho. There was 2 very intense times when I was distressed by the health of my pets and I went to this place, both times the receptionists and nurses were extra rude, yelling at me, absolutely not helpful with pet insurance issues, refused to put me in touch with management, really regret having taking my cats here, they also didn't have the proper equipment to care for them so one of them passed away in this very hospital. Not ever again gonna go back to this place that cared more about money than the health of my pets.

Can I do 10 stars? User friendly online booking system, parking on the spot. We were helped by Dr. Vicky, she’s so brilliant, prompt and friendly. My furry son due for Kennel Cough and general yearly checkup and my miniature poodle has a flare up skin issues since we moved to Auckland. We are trialing new skin care regime, fingers cross it work for Jet woof woof!

Poor Simba was limping. I rang APH. They were very concerned for him !. Hannah stayed on the phone with me to find few Vets as they also were fully booked till Monday .15mins later Hannah rang me as there was cancelled appointment. Dr Yun is very good 👍very quickly found the reason & prescribed . The vet nurse for the invoice was very helpful. Absolutely disgusting service - took my cat to them 3 times when he was very sick and Vicky Lim was too incompetent to diagnose the situation regardless of us providing more than enough information to do so. Vicky Lim is the most arrogant, pretentious, poor excuse for a vet that I have ever encountered. Besides from misdiagnosing our cat three times, she’s clearly got her degree out of a cereal box. Subsequently, we had a meeting with Alex, the owner, and his office manager, to make a formal complaint about the misdiagnosis and appalling treatment received. She had no empathy for our cat or our situation and the fact she is still practising at this clinic ceases to amaze me. We had to drive over 45 minutes to the other side of Auckland to our old vet who diagnosed our cat immediately and provided a treatment plan. I would avoid Auckland pet hospital at all costs if you care about your pet. It was a distressing experience for our pet and ourselves and it’s blatantly obvious they are only in this business to make money. Disgusted that Vicky Lim is still practising at this clinic, let alone at all after such incompetence resulting in an appalling experience. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Love this vet! Kind, considerate and thoughtful. They always find a way to squeeze us in if they can if we are worried about something. Fabulous communication via email and check ups on the phone too. Thank you

Dr Demi is the reason we came to this clinic with our three dogs. She is an absolute professional and I would highly recommend her and her caring nature towards animals. She treats our pets like her own and gives great advice. Dr Alex and Dr Eva did surgeries on one of my dogs’ ear to a great result. In my brief time as a client we have only encountered one bad experience with a vet who was quite condescending - named Vicki. It was evident no matter what I said she wouldn’t take my concern seriously… the next day he was seen for the same issue (as it had gotten worse) by a different vet and booked in for an immediate surgery as she was clearly mistaken.

What a caring team. Had my new stray cat to be neutered and the team were so helpful keeping me informed of his progress. Lovely caring staff. Thank you very much.

These guys provides amazing care for your furries and yourself. We've had a stressful week with our dog chipping off half her canine during play at a dog park, and it was boxing day. Hannah at APH took so much extra effort to get us in contact with the one and only Vet Dentist available during Xmas and NY period. You want someone who will go the extra mile for you and your babies. These guys are it!

The staff here are awesomely compassionate - and clearly animal lovers in their own right. I have been coming here for the last two decades and have always received top quality and very caring service, especially when my various cats have needed extra special care.

My collie started having epileptic seizures. They ordered blood tests, charged 400$ and i NEVER heard back from them. I called several times past few months, my pet is now having cluster seizures and they are getting worse. Never reply my emails, doctor will always "call me back later" never gave me treatment advice or the blood test results. Shame on you people :( I can't even deal with you jokers anymore.

The team here are amazing... responsive and compassionate. We ended up there on New Years Day morning with our dog and thought the service was awesome. Thank you!

Had really positive experiences here! The vet was really kind and patient with my nervous cat. I really appreciate the kind front office workers as well as the promptness in response to emails and appointment requests. Yoda is a healthier kitten thanks to all their help!

Always a delightful time with the team, even if not for the animal. They take care of my cats with such warm hearts and the vets and receptionists alike always make you feel seen and welcome. Would highly recommend!

We were seen very promptly and I was allowed to be in the room with my cat. Made me feel much better. He was taken great care of and the vet easily identified what was going on for him. Thank you for the great care!

I was surprisingly really shaken up about Prince, him being a geriatric with multiple serious problems, stressing about potentially fatal cancer. The care he got was incredible, like a human infant, and they looked after me so well too. What an incredibly talented and compassionate crew we’ve got.

Took my cat for annual Health check. Whole meeting took 6 mins! Charge me $95!!!! Doctor just touch my cat body and told me everything is fine! She didn’t test temperature, didn’t weight my cat, even didn’t check teeth……I already change to other Vet! But I like to left this review for new Client come to this Vet.

A long time customer of Auckland Pet Hospital, having followed the incredible staff from Grey Lynn. Every visit I have here is incredible and my dogs are always so incredibly well looked after. Recently I have been having issues with a very unresonable insurance claim rejection and Dr Vicky has been incredible in providing me with additional correspondence to assist in challenging this. Charged us nearly $800 for an inaccurate/incomplete assesment, then another $80 for a referral of what should have happened the first time. Get your credit card ready. Update: out of desperation for our boy's pain, I made the mistake of returning for a follow up visit. Was met by a very frosty vet who was more concerned with us taking down this Google review instead of caring for our cat...despite the degree of misery I was in at the time (oh and that'll be another $115 thanks). Since then we've encounted two other pet owners who've had similar expereinces here. Once this odeal is over, we look forward to lodging a formal complaint.

Found them to be pricey, also advised on 4 vaccinations for our kitten that a second opinion advised only 3 were necessary. At $170 a pop plus the hassle wasn't happy to learn this. There was no parking there when we went. Otherwise everything was fine

Always a great experience. Brought in my dog when he was a pup and had eaten an unknown toadstool when out walking in the park. Had him processed and in treatment in minutes. Lovely staff and very caring.

We had a matter that needed speedy care and our current vet was unavailable to take our puppy on until the following week. They suggested we try Auckland Pet Hospital and straight from the word go they were attentive, welcoming and fit us in straight away. On picking up our pup the nurses, vets and receptionists came out to say goodbye to him, he didn’t want to leave! Thank you APH, such a kind clinic it felt like family.

The best vets I've ever had. Compassionate and thorough, I have had several pets with the team here, and we've been treated with kindness and dignity through every stage of their lives. Can't say enough good things about everyone here.

If you care about your pet don’t take it to this place, we used to get the best service and care for our dog when it was Vetcare most of the positive reviews that you see are during that period. This is no pet hospital it’s more like a kindergarten of recently qualified veterinarian that don’t even listen to a word you say other than thinking they know better when in fact they don’t. After explaining what to look for when we took casper in they completely do the opposite, even worse after meeting with Alex to discuss our disappointment with Casper’s diagnosis he was more concerned about defending his incompetent staff than hear what we had to say. It’s a shame we live only a few meters from this vet and we end up driving 40 minutes to take our dog to the veterinarian than used to take care of him when it was Vetcare as we have no confidence in this place.

Amazing service for our critically ill cat when our own vet wouldn’t help us. Extremely caring and informative!! Highly recommend!
