Was a beginner to Muay Thai and wanted to pick it up for self defence. Started out with free/discounted trials in kickboxing gyms in the CBD and found Hawk’s Nest to be the most value for money and community-oriented. Pros - The vibe is much more welcoming to females. The more advanced gym members are also willing to teach you without judgment. - The trainer is great at teaching proper technique and pushing you beyond your limits. - You get valuable feedback on how to improve after class Some cons - There aren’t showers only toilets - Space can be a bit small for bigger classes - The head trainer has a lame sense of humour

I've been coming to the gym since 2019 and it's been a joy every session! Victor is a great coach and really pushes us each time without making us feel forced. I love that I can also learn Muay Thai skills alongside with bettering my fitness. I started off as somebody with no martial arts experience and I never felt intimidated at this gym :)

Been coming here for just over three months. Considered another boxing gym nearby but ended choosing the smaller one and no regrets since. Lots of contact time with the coach and personalized feedback. You can quite easily start practicing with higher level fighters and the community is quite helpful. Defs recommend.

The atmosphere here is generally very welcoming and student-friendly. There are no maximum amount of classes-type restrictions and the prices aren't exorbitant which is an important distinction from other Muay Thai gyms in the city area. The gym is active on social media so you can communicate with them online for updates. I highly recommend this gym to those who are looking for an affordable place to get some solid cardio, meet new friends and if you want to take it further there is always the opportunity to fight under Hawk's Nest.

Great trainers, great community. I have been going to Hawk's Nest four times weekly for the past three months and have enjoyed every session. Definitely recommend it to anyone interested in Muay Thai. There's a one-week free trial, which gives you a lot of time to discover what Hawk's Nest has to offer.

I've been with Hawks for quite a few months and it's one of the highlights of the week. The gym is beginner friendly and there's plenty of choices for classes.

Awesome place for Muay Thai, very very easy to feel included as well as learn. Victor in particular is an awesome coach! Highly recommended! Or at least give it a go :)

Best PT experience ever. Victor really takes his time out to meet your needs especially with a difficult work schedule, he encourages you when you think you can’t do something. At the same time he is really gentle and knows what’s right and able to push boundaries. 10/10

I've tried a few Muay Thai gyms in Auckland, and Hawks' Nest Gym is the best by far. Whether you're a beginner (and I mean have never wrapped your hands) or you're a Thai kickboxing vet who spares weekly, it's the best place to train hard, meet likeminded individuals and have a great time. They're even doing outside classes over lockdown. Highly recommend!!!

Real nice muay thai gym. Been to a few other muay thai gyms, and Hawks' Nest feels the most chill. Victor's a real chill and friendly coach. The gym itself has all the necessary equipment and feels pretty clean. Probably the best gym in Auckland if you're new to the sport and want to start learning without the full on pressure of other gyms.

Best Muay Thai Kickboxing gym. The coach is passionate about creating a community and making you feel welcomed. His biggest joy is watching you improve and enjoy, and he will go extra mile sometimes to help you. (Thanks for loosening up my super tight calves). Only downside is that there are no classes on Sundays and Mondays. Otherwise, I'd be there 7 days a week, instead of 5 😅😅.

Started coming consistently to this gym about 3 months ago, and I have enjoyed this time a lot. I had no prior experience in Muay Thai, or any other material arts, but the gym provides a friendly environment that makes it a great place to learn for people of all skill levels.

Hawks is a top notch muay thai gym with a fantastic gym culture which has classes for all fitness and skill levels. The gym itself is well maintained and had all the equipment you need for a great workout. I would recommend Hawks Nest to anyone looking to start or improve there skills in muay thai and or get into better shape.
