Great to have this new cafe in Takapuna. Staff are friendly, coffee is excellent, prices are good. Lovely atmosphere with nice outdoor seating available. We'll be back!

How have we not reviewed Kinship before now?? This has been our local since the day they opened. The most welcoming community space with the BEST coffee in Auckland! Staff are friendly, welcoming and hardworking. Can’t imagine starting our days anywhere else! Keep up the great work Macie moo and team, we love you all 🫶🏽

This is my local cafe. - However, I avoid it at all costs! - I have given it a few chances, but the coffee only gets worst and worst... Cappuccino is usually burnt, the froth is not done well, and even with an extra shot, the coffee tastes worst than the free coffee at the office. I'm sure they can do much better! the place is lovely, has a great atmosphere and the staff is also super nice! - they only need a well-trained barista and maybe a higher quality coffee grain.

Kinship Takapuna is nothing but amazing! We love coming here especially for the best coffee, hot chocolate and the delicious toasties! All the staff is super friendly and full of positivity to start your day right!

Excellent coffee made by Piper (hope I got spelling correct. Lovely spacious outdoor space with grass as well if you have young children. Friendly service and delicious food as well. Highly recommend and will definitely go back!

Everything was lovely and fresh. The only thing needed is a customer toilet. We had to leave early so we could find a toilet to use! The 2 closest public ones were closed.

So great to have a locally-owned coffee shop where the owners have put their heart and creativity into it. The coffee is delicious. The food - holy heck those mixed cheese toasties - get in my belly. And the danishes. And the eye for design in the shop, very cool. Big bonus of the lawn and picnic tables and benches with a view of the volcano off in the distance. Fab.

Good coffee and lovely staff. Also enjoyed the toasty! So happy to have them in the hood. I would give 5 stars if they less use take away cups. Takeaway cups for even for sit down is a bit sad.

I had a milkshake. I have never had this lukewarm milkshake before. It was awful.

A great atmosphere, good coffee and pastries, confortable tables if you work from the computer. You may ask why 2 stars then? Well The greetings and smiles go to the locals, the moment a foreign accent is heard, the face of content in the staff is notorious. Not all of them are like this, actually a few of the staff are adorable, but by sheer observation it is obvious the difference of service based on nationality.

This place has become my new regular coffee spot. The coffee is always spot on, and I’m not sure on what beans are used but the flavour is amazing. Yummy toastiest too, I always get the mushroom and it never fails to disappoint. My partner loves the corn. Definitely worth trying this place out! I’m so glad I did.

Many moons ago this was my favourite dairy walking home from Takapuna Grammar, I used to get chewing tobacco from a lovely Indian couple - however, I digress, this is an amazing little cafe, super busy in the mornings though, but worth the wait considering the friendly staff.

Nice atmosphere with antique fittings and also with outside seating. Consistently good coffee. The bacon jam toasty is great. Small selection of preserves, oil and homewares for sale.

Good coffee with a very convenient 10 min parking to grab and go. Or you can sit on the nice outdoor tables or inside. They have a little shop too.
