Very very strange experience as a Brit shopping here for the first time. Really did not enjoy it, very crowded with narrow passageways when everyone has a huge trolley, so you're stuck half the time. Bad acidic smell everywhere, and was like a sterile warehouse. Prices weren't even that cheap and Carrefour was cheaper for quite a lot of the stuff. When you finally get around the shop like an IKEA, the checkout process is very strange. Also what's up with the crazy prices of cereal in the attached photo? Just weird. I'll stick to Carrefour, Aldi and Del Haize.

Quality went downhill over the last few years since they change their layout. Every single time I visit Colruyt, I find expired food in the shelfs (sometimes +10 days for fresh things, usually vegetarian items). Fruit and vegetables are often molded. Mentioned it multiple times to the staff, who then claim it was probably an exception - only to find 3-4 other items in the same shelf that are expired. To everyone visiting, I recommend to check the dates carefully.

As a sportive person with high protein diet, meat quality is really important for me. The butchery here is the best that I found to provide my needs. Alex and Simon were the guys who did listen to me perfectly and cut the meat as I wanted. Here is the place I strongly recommend. Thanks Alex, Thanks Simon

Nice supermarket, with large corridors and a good variety of products. However, I feel like the hygiene could improve. We bought packaged meat a while back and we found hairs inside the package. Also, there are no single-use gloves or anything else to pick up the bread. This means that people touch multiple breads in their attempt to pick the one they like, and then you have to buy bread touched by hundreds of customers. Disgusting.

Colruyt is one of those No Frills Hypermarkets that store practically everything for daily home use. Economically attractive for families. Exceptionally good Butcher Service better than many specialised private ones.

Eh, Colruyt. A store that looks like a warehouse, but you can buy a lot of quality products in it (at least I think, for example BIO fruits and vegetables). The ground floor is always chaotic and hard to find a parking spot (at the time I usually go, between 4 and 7 p.m.), especially on Fridays and Saturdays - so I always choose parking on the -1st floor. There are enough cashiers, you don't have to wait too long regardless of the crowd. When buying a product, it is important to check: that it is not moldy (bread, pastries packed in plastic can be moldy, it happened to me several times to buy moldy). You need to look at the shelf life of chocolates on the shelves, they can be old. It is necessary to check that hygiene products have not been opened - I have seen teenagers who apply creams and use roll-on deodorants in the store and return them to the shelf.

Great place to shop at, they are mostly cheaper than other stores for the same product. They also have a very wise range of products to pick from!
