One
of
the
early
Hindu
temples
in
Chicago
and
a
popular
one.
We
went
on
a
sunny
Sunday
afternoon
and
found
the
temple
buzzing
with
devotees.
As
the
temple
is
undergoing
renovation,
parking
and
Madapalli
(Cafeteria)
have
been
shifted
to
temporary
locations.
Mask
was
compulsory
inside
the
temple
and
thankfully
it
was
freely
available
as
one
enters
the
temple
premises.
Entrance
was
also
thru
basement
of
the
temple
due
construction.
Had
pleasant
darshan
of
the
presiding
deities
(Shiva
&
Venkateswara)
and
quickly
marched
down
to
the
cafeteria
which
could
use
some
extra
signages
for
out
of
state
visitors
like
us.
We
didn't
know
where
the
temporary
canteen
was
and
ended
up
driving
out
thru
the
exit
only
to
realize
we
could
have
just
walked
to
the
Panchavati.
But,
the
trek
was
worth
it
and
a
sumptuous
Pongal,
Vada
&
Dosas
were
waiting
for
us.
It
filled
us
with
joy
and
we
drove
out
with
happy
bellies..
