The Ocean Lab | Float Therapy

Spa Wellness center

👍👍 The Ocean Lab has quickly become one of my favorite spots to unwind, unplug, and relax. Walking in, you immediately feel at home - the front "lobby" isn't as much of a lobby as it is a living room. Tea, waters, and a disco shark, I took my shoes off and made myself feel at home. From there, we went... People often mention experience, float, time,

The Ocean Lab has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Austin. The float tanks are the nicest ones I've been in, and the big saunas are perfect for getting your sweat on before floating. I like that the larger one is set up with the benches in a circle, it gives it more of a community feel. They've also taken out all the stops to make it a great experience. You get fresh tea when you come in, the towels are really soft, there's a cozy lounge area when you come out, and they've started organizing events like guided meditations. Definitely my favorite float center I've been to, and quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to meet up with people.

The Ocean Lab has quickly become one of my favorite spots to unwind, unplug, and relax. Walking in, you immediately feel at home - the front "lobby" isn't as much of a lobby as it is a living room. Tea, waters, and a disco shark, I took my shoes off and made myself feel at home. From there, we went into the middle group sauna to sweat it out for about 20 minutes. My first time floating, I was super nervous about being left alone with my own thoughts for too long - the tank has little twinkle lights, spa lights, and different sounds (meditation, ocean sounds, or music of your choice!). I got in and was impressed with myself how easily I relaxed. I made it about 45 minutes before getting out, and really enjoyed the experience. Going back the second time, we did a couples float and I felt way more comfortable having my boyfriend with me. The tanks are huge, super spacious. After floating, you're able to pop out, rinse off, robe up, and hang in the comfy zen den bean bag chairs in the back area and color. Both times I spent almost 3 hours just hanging out in the Ocean Lab's amazing space, chatting with others, and taking advantage of the time away from my phone. The space is incredible, allow for a couple hours of relaxation to unwind and unplug. I will be a frequent flyer at the Ocean Lab and am really excited to go back!

This is my second float experience, and I have to say that this was by far the best experience. I had all the room I needed and more. Topped it off with a sauna session, the fresh wood smells completely added to the experience. Everyone was super friendly and glad I dropped in to experience floating. Was a family friendly experience where they even offer couples floats. I feel I made new friends in the process, one word Amazing.

This place is amazing. Super clean, awesome equipment, and the staff is fabulous. It’s the kind of place you want to come and spend all day. The infrared Saunas were incredible and the float tanks were out of this world. We did a couples float and I totally lost track of time and space. I think I talked to Elvis and Tupac at some point. Can’t wait to go back!

This is the third facility I have ever floated at, and I can say that The Ocean Lab is a truly exceptional experience from beginning to end. Jerry the Disco shark is there to greet you in your way in and Eric, the owner, makes you feel right at home. The pods themselves are top notch, built into the wall, and bring you swiftly into complete sensory deprivation. The starlight sky is a beautiful touch to gently bring you down. You will leave lighter and more ready to tackle life's challenges. Highly recommend!

Visited Austin last weekend and spent two days floating, sauna, and cold plunging at this wonderful place. The staff is so nice and the environment is perfect for relaxation and wellness. Thanks for a great experience!

This is one of the best experiences I have had in my entire life. The space itself is extremely clean and peaceful and the process of booking couldn't be easier. The Infrared sauna is world class, i've never seen so many IR saunas, and never a handcrafted custom local cedar wood one with that many panels. The Float rooms themselves are world class and very easy to operate. The facilities are clean, towels and robes perfect and comfortable. I'm not sure what else you could ask for in a float center. The fact that they also have ice baths takes the experience to a completely new level. I will be going back no questions asked.

OceanLab is such a cool experience. The first time I went, I met the owner Eric and he is the most welcoming, warm soul ever. This place gives you the option to do a 30, 60 or 90 minute float, take an ice bath (if you're brave) or sit and relax in one of their infrared saunas. Let me tell you, the sauna is a must if you do an ice bath. The float was a cool experience and it's awesome if you need time to relax and meditate in a cool space. This place is not only super relaxing, but very aesthetic and perfect to gather and connect with people.

These guys are the absolute greatest. Didn’t think I’d get into this as part of my regular routine. I started to go to try cold plunging because I was training for the Austin Half Marathon - nothing crazy but I was sore haha. I found myself going more and more and then doing the full membership up until I moved. AWESOME PEOPLE! I’ll miss seeing them.

😠 This used to be my go-to location before they started having AC issues. I had been going to this PF for about 6 months and then all of the sudden their AC would not work and they did not fix it. I went back today (after 8 months of going to a different location) thinking surely the AC issues would h...

👍👍 I have been going to Urban Betty consistently for over a year now and could not be happier with each visit.
