The General Store has become the one best destination for sports enthusiasts on Lake Memphrémagog. Open washroom is a woohoo after a long sail !!! Tons of snacks, tasty foods for immediately or for home, and great zen to add to your semi-colon. Robert will greet you with a smile, knows the area well. It's a two minutes walk away from the welcoming Georgeville docks, just past the fancy restaurant that now requires reservations.

This old fashion general store is a life saver with pizazz, everything you need for breakfast, lunch and dinner and late night snacks, saves going into town and the staff is charming and helpful Highly recommended it for anyone with 10km (6 miles) of Georgeville, plus there’s a great Inn and restaurants right next door, with typical old eastern townships flair and class. Their homemade pies and meat pies are to die for!

They do sell basic groceries and alcohol. Open only in the summer season. Caters more to a touristy taste than a general store type clientele.

A quaint country store beautifully restored with lots of local products. Well worth stopping at!

Horribly expensive. A 2-litre carton of milk and two coffees for $10.05 😳 $2.75 for a smallish coffee!!! She wouldn’t even round down the nickel, leaving me with a pocketful of change. Next time I’ll drive into Magog and get better, much less expensive coffee at McDonalds! Also, a “convenience” store for the owners only — closed all winter. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Don’t buy ice cream at the General Store. I went in today. The clerk was serving two women who were getting things for a picnic. It took a very long time while they were discussing products and the lady was asking the clerk about some obscure product etc. The clerk saw that I was waiting and told me to go pick a flavour of ice cream. So I went and stood by the ice cream little section. In the meantime, a couple that I believe were motorcycling arrived and stood in line behind the two women that were paying and asking that their bill be separate etc. Etc. When they were finally !!! finished, the clerk proceeded to serve the two people that arrived after me. I said that I was next and had been waiting a while. She responded that she needed to serve the people that stood in line. Apparently there was an order in her mind that she could not bypass! Exasperated, I left. I have been going to the General store for years and was never treated this way… and talk about slow service! Very irritating!
