An amazing steakhouse experience, highly recommended. It's expensive but so is every other spot. It's not particularly more expensive than it's competitors. The steak was dry aged and had amazing flavor but yet again the pork was the highlight for me. The pork belly was fatty and sweet and the best pork belly I've had. The steakhouse potatoes is a loaded potato in mashed potato form and was very good. The quail legs and calamari were excellent as well. The butter spread for the bread was amazing. Service was impeccable. Aris was great!

Our first visit to Vince Young Steakhouse was in celebration of Valentine’s Day 2022.  Arrived on time, immediately seated.  Fred, our server, did a great job, attentive but unobtrusive.  Thanks Fred!  The meal had both hits and misses. As other reviewers have noted, the bone marrow appetizer was too salty.  Edible, especially with the toasted bread, but disappointing… a miss. The wedge salad was outstanding.  Nice balance of top quality ingredients, served very chilled… a hit! We shared the Tomahawk Ribeye, more than enough for two.  The temperature of the steak was very inconsistent.  Ordered medium rare, and the steak ranged from medium in places to bloody purple in others.  We agree with other reviewers who have noted the VYS kitchen doesn’t handle large cuts of meat well.  Given the cost, the ribeye should have been next to perfect… a miss. We shared sides of sautéed mushrooms and the “loaded” mashed potatoes.  Both were delicious, expertly prepared, good presentation, the leftovers were good the next day too… a hit. The wine list was well thought through, a nice offering of old world and new world selections.  Wines were reasonably priced, from the $40s to the $300s, a few $400s, and even a few $1000+ options.  We shared the Rock Pile Zinfandel, very good at a reasonable price… a hit. For dessert, the crème brûlée sounded good, but was disappointing, the consistency of pudding rather than custard, not much flavor… a miss. VYS gets high marks for ambience, very inviting, warm and comfortable.  A more casual feel than some of the other downtown ATX high-end steakhouses, and that’s a compliment, not a complaint… a hit. All told, the place was great, the service excellent, but the meal was just OK.  While the ambiance was wonderful, the meal was not up to par with what one would expect in a high-end, expensive downtown ATX steakhouse.

While I was visiting friends in Austin they had made reservations here. The chefs and service did not disappoint. Loved how simple the menu was with a handful of solid options. Prices were right on par. I was fortunate enough to taste most of the steaks while dining with my group. All were excellent and perfectly cooked. The bourbon and wine list had some good options, but I wish the wine list was a little more extensive. I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic meal. Possibly best porterhouse for two we’ve had. Lobster was on point. Sides were excellent. The wedge salad was incredible. Blue cheese dressing is out of this world. Service was great. Well done Vince Young Steakhouse. We will definitely be back.

We met some family here in Austin and decided to go here for dinner. It was an absolutely amazing dinner. Our server Fred was the best, very attentive, joked with us and also made great recommendations. Zach the manager was also fantastic, made sure we had been taken care of and very friendly! All the staff we met were phenomenal and friendly! We will definitely be back.

The meats had preferred temperatures and all were met! This place is hyped, but glad I tried Vince Young Steakhouse. Service was good. The ambiance could be a lot better.

Came from Houston to celebrate our Anniversary. The waiter Kemp made our night unforgettable. Food is the best I have ever eaten. The atmosphere so romantic. And we even got a sweet treat on the house saying Happy Anniversary.

Steaks were great, probably the best steaks I’ve had at a “fine dining” restaurant. However, literally everything that our party wanted to order, was not available. they didn’t have the roasted marrow appetizer, wagyu steaks, or 16oz ribeyes. Our server was attentive for the most part, but not the most friendly person

So, the wife and I went here for our 15yr anniversary and I will say that it was indeed an enjoyable experience, we will be back. The service was great, we were greeted at the door and shown to a table immediately 😀 once seated, our server came and took our drink order along with apps...I got the crab cake which was pretty fresh!...then we proceeded to order, and I will say the steaks were very well prepared, I got the bone in Ribeye, nicely marbled and juicy, my wife had the filet which was equally nicely done. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and will be back...since this is one of many to come, I will review III Forks next!

Finally went to try it out. The chefs $80 steak did not impress. Had better cheaper. Ambiance was great.

Went for mom's birthday. We had others in the party running late and the waiter was extremely patient and understanding. The food was amazing. We sampled from appetizers to salads to steaks to entrees to sides to desserts. Everything was cooked to perfection (even the well done steak was moist), came out hot, and left us feeling happy and full. I know everyone has their definition of expensive, and this was totally worth it!

Food was delicious! Waiter was extremely knowledgeable since this was our first time dining there. The dessert was to die for!

A little pricey, but well worth it! Our server Brenner was kind enough to walk us through the vast menu options, giving us personal recommendations and guest favorites. We each chose steak, kansas city strip and filet mignon, & paired it with bacon mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Portions are more than filling & our night was topped off with a complimentary slice of chocolate birthday cake. Great first time experience 👍

My family and I recently had the pleasure to enjoy dinner at Vince Young steak house . Our waiter was friendly and very helpful he recommended the crab cake which was absolutely amazing ! We ordered the lobster bisque, which was also great ! Next, we ordered the salmon ,wagu steak, and bone in ribye. The salmon was delicious, and our steaks were both cooked to perfection, both very juicy and flavorful. Lastly, we ordered the trio for desert ! Everything was absolutely amazing ! I only wish I had taken more pictures for this review !! We will be visiting Austin soon enough and look forward to dining at Vince Young steak house again!!

Juiciest steak I’ve ever had. Got the New York strip. And fries. They won’t do half portion of fries. Fries are good for sharing among 3 people. Came with house made ketchup with blew my mind. My waiter was nice and friendly. However, my experience exiting was not well received at all. The host/receptionists chastised and shooed me for trying to leave at the main door where the host is at. They were both giving me attitude like I did something wrong. All I did was trying to leave where the host stand was at. This was rude and I didn’t appreciate this. Please hire people with more experience and give your host more training….

Good happy hour for food. Make sure you get there early because there aren't many seats at the bar. Food was good but I wasn't super impressed with the burgers flavor. It had a sweetness to it that I wasn't fond of. It's different. Others may like it. Crab cake was great

The whole dining experience was great. The hostess had our table ready quickly, the bartender made good drinks, and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. My favorite appetizer was the pork belly, very tender. The Wedge Salad with pork belly was delicious. My 8oz fillet was prepared perfectly over an open fire grill. Very enjoyable. For Desert, I enjoyed the cheesecake. You can't really go wrong. Thank you.

I was meeting a friend here at Vince. The place has great ambiance. The menu is decent and wide range of wine selection. I ordered Prime Ribeye medium rare and it came out perefectly cooked. The fried calamari was good too. I would surely recommend this place.

We were in Austin for SXSW and for our first night in town we were looking forward to an American steakhouse meal that we have always enjoyed when we were in the USA. Unfortunately it didn't quite hit the spot for us for a number of reasons. We ordered the bone marrow, prime bone-in ribeye, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, a couple of negronis and a bottle of red from Napa Valley. The bone marrow was on the salty side, but I did love the addition of garlic and it was a nice start with our negronis. Steaks were good, not the best I've had in the USA. Although the flavour of the creamed spinach was good, I was quite surprised it wasn't blitzed up so it didn't quite have the right texture that I'm used to in USA, and the mashed potatoes could do with some more creme, butter. It was a bit watery for my liking. I think the issue mostly was our server. He came across incredibly impatient, often being abrupt towards us in conversation. We were rushed through our meal with plates being taken away whilst we were clearly in conversation and also whilst we were still working through our mains and side dishes. We were also asked about if we were interested in dessert whilst I was finishing my mains. Not sure if this is normal standards, if it is, I will happily adjust my review, but this is not my experience to date in USA or expectations. Our bill was also delivered whilst we were still consuming our dessert. I'm not so sure why we were rushed so much, given the resturant wasn't even half full when we left. To be honest, we couldn't wait to leave by the end. I think we just expected more, especially paying nearly $300 for the meal ex tip.

Texas is a steak state and has some of the best steakhouses. The issue always is finding a place that has a great steak, atmosphere and good prices. This is one of those places. I highly recommend it. I was in town to take my daughter out for her birthday and was looking for a place that has great food, high-end atmosphere, great menu, and does not charge $100 per plate. I found Vince Young and wanted to try it. It is always risky to go to a place that you do not know for a special occasion. But man, what a great choice I made. I loved their dinning area. Our waiter was very attentive and right on with every thing. Not too intrusive and not forgotten. We had great steaks that were cooked to perfection, with sides that were tasty and satisfying. If you are looking for a good steakhouse in Austin, I highly recommend this one. You will not be disappointed.

Our waiter was preoccupied with a bigger party in the back and was absent for over 15 mins. Steak was average, be careful on the " Vincefy" will add another $80 to your steak.

Amazing happy hour deal! We went early to make sure we could get a seat and my husband and I were blown away at the value and deliciousness of the food. The service was quick and attentive also. Will return again!
