We clearly reserved for four guests and got only three towels while we got charged $30 for each guests 3 & 4; must be running tight in the laundry dept. The wait for the elevator (I am NOT kidding!) was almost 20 minutes, all kept coming full. We ended up taking an UP elevator and then ride it all the way down. On the way down people on every floor were fuming. Then we ended up having to walk down the stairs with suitcases to be able to grab a different elevator system. Then the check-out line (I wanted my receipt) was over twenty people long! Also be prepared for completely over-priced EVERYTHING! This place's priority is making money, all the rest like customer satisfaction, service, etc. are second and third hand. Oh, and parking is just shy of $50/day!! Never, EVER again!!

One issue: Great location, modern, beautiful, upscale hotel. Quiet large room, with beautiful view, giant window and of course, with in-room safe. Helpful staff Great gym The hotel's minibar is small and full of expensive items. TAKE CARE:Fridge has a motion sensor for items. If you are not going to use it and pay high prices, do not even open the fridge. I had problems. They write a notice on the door of the mini fridge, which is not very clear. They should let you know at check-in and with large letters on the cabinet where the minibar is, to avoid unpleasant situations for those who are innocently curious to see what is in the minibar or try to keep something. They should change the minibar policy to avoid this type of problem that I know is common in the hotel. But I informed the hotel immediately, after checking the minibar and they didn't charge. They also brought an empty minibar for free to store products.

This review is for the rooftop bar only. We did not stay in the hotel. The views from the seating area were really great. We were facing the convention center and the creek. The service was super. Very good and not overly intrusive. It's a great place to hang out before dinner and take in the views. Highly recommend. I'm confused on why the city wouldn't clean up the creek a bit. There was garbage everywhere assuming from the homeless population, but that's not the fault of the Fairmont.

Understaffed, underwhelming, and overpriced. Bell desk was beyond helpful every time we requested their assistance— and with a wedding, we did a whole lot of schlepping this weekend. The hotel is fine if you’re visiting Austin or are here for business, but look elsewhere for a wedding hotel or any situation wherein you must rely on hotel staff. Rooms are decently proportioned, but small details overlooked in a property that one would not expect small details to be overlooked. I called the front desk (not the bell desk, as there is not a bell desk button on the phones) to request a luggage cart 3 times in one hour. I finally got it myself, and the (again, LOVELY) bell desk staff said they had no record of the request. Coffee shop in the lobby is nice, if you like to pay $7 for a coffee.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This web site will compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. This hotel is in an excellent location in downtown Austin. Our favorite part was the pool and hot tub, it offered a great view of downtown and was very relaxing and clean. We found that the price of the hotel was very reasonable and would recommend anyone visiting Austin to stay here!

Very central location to bars and cafes. Amazing staff who were attentive and friendly. The pool area is small but clean and relaxing. The elevators can be a bit too busy with all the conferences and events happening so there can be a long queue at times. The rooms themselves were very comfortable and clean. Will return again on my next Austin visit.

Overall it was a great experience staying at the Fairmount. We were in town celebrating a dear friend’s birthday and Justine and the staff definitely made our stay memorable!! We loved the ambiance of the hotel and our rooms. The location was perfect to explore Austin’s food scene and night life!! Lots of places in walking distance and even the restaurants inside the hotel was superb! We can’t wait to come back and explore more!

Traveler beware! I would not recommend staying at this 4 star hotel as I experienced a one star experience. Not only was my room dirty upon entry but the dust was horrible as you can see from my picture. Secondly, room service hung up on me and then forgot an item I requested after getting through. Thirdly, I ended up getting super sick from a leak in the shower that clearly caused my mold radar to go off, attached pictures on this too. I’ve been so sick after my stay and don’t feel that this was addressed appropriately by management. At this price point I expect way more, let alone the attention to detail being way higher than it was. I even got an email from them confirming that there was residue in an area that I did not call out from the beginning. It also sounds like they are going through great lengths to fix this issue. My point is that I uncovered a big issue and they aren't even offering me anything for the health issues it has caused. Unbelievable from a high class joint. I wanted to write this in order to keep others safe. I would not recommend staying here as I will never be again. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Hope it helps!

The finest hotel my wife and I have stayed in. We got a great rate as part of the conference we were attending at the convention center next door. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, from valet to front desk to room service. Our room on the 19th floor offered a stunning view of downtown Austin, and featured luxurious toiletries and robes along with a lovely soaking tub and bath salts. We also enjoyed a lovely couples massage at the hotel spa, and an unforgettable dinner at the hotel's fine dining establishment, Garrison. In the morning, a delightful breakfast spread was delivered quickly after I called in the order. A sublime weekend trip!

The staff here is the best of the best. Exceptional service and great problem solving skills from the staff. Food was delicious too. Room was very clean and quiet. The spa was great, particularly the messuese Maddie. Safe for being in downtown Austin. I live in the area and it’s by far the best hotel. Counting down the days until I go back.

A small piece of advice for fellow travelers: when booking hotels, don’t skip on HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm It can offer some great deals! I stayed at the Fairmont for a girls trip recently and had a memorable experience. The service here is outstanding. I was able to check-in early with Valerie who was welcoming upon my arrival. We ate at Revue for breakfast daily and encountered Kelly, Purity, and Isaac ~ all of whom went above and beyond to make our dining experience just right. We stayed on a top floor and the rooms were spacious and quiet. The beds were comfortable and everything from room amenities to the aroma in the rooms was on point. We checked out with Raphael who was helpful and friendly. It is obvious this hotel is selective in their staffing because everyone was such a pleasure to interact with. I would definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Austin.

Tom’s were spacious, well appointed, and the bed was comfortable. The only thing i did not like was the pillows are waaaay too soft. I like some substance to my pillow. Room attendant maintained the room well during my stay. Other facilities such as the lounge and bar were clean and had great service. Just know they expect you to make a purchase when in the lounge seating area. This is the only area where seating is plentiful. Would like to see more seating available in the main lobby as that is fairly sparse.Particularly for large events where attendees are arriving and departing on the same day. Many people waiting for colleagues and cars quickly consumes the minimal seating. The location is good for visiting other restaurants within walking distance.

Really love everything about this hotel. Location, accommodations, staff. But I have to give a shout out to housekeeping. The first day we were here, after returning to our room, the attention to detail and the little extra touches from whoever reset our room was mind blowing. I felt like my mom had come in and just loved on me. Lol.

The Fairmont was everything we needed and then some! It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location downtown, next to everything. The hotel staff are the most pleasant individuals that really work hard to make sure their guests are having a good time. The restaurants we tried (Revue, Garrison & Rules & Regs) had tasty eats and the friendliest wait staff. The pool is super relaxing with a view - you can get buckets of beer on ice poolside! Self parking is super convenient and easy (not a long walk). We would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you’re on the fence. It’s worth every penny!!

Great hotel. It's not a good location too close to the Freeway but no Freeway noise. Superb customer service, exquisite rooms, and bars. I wasn't impressed with the food, limited menu, and not enough quantities for the money. Overpriced food. Parking is outrageous $60 bucks a night for parking. Be aware of it. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with a great hotel for a weekend getaway, anniversary, or celebrating, or just a romantic 😀 gesture for you and your spouse. I would definitely recommend this place 👌 😊 PS don't touch the mini bar in the room unless you expect to pay the surcharge. It's pricey!!!! I really like the overall experience 😌 ☺️

Myself as well as two other ladies were here for a company wide conference of roughly 7-8k people at the convention center. A large majority of those people stayed at the Fairmont Hotel. The service that we received was absolutely fantastic. The love was in the details from the moment that we checked in until the moment that we departed. Everything was simply on par. I would like to say a special thank you and give an wow factor to the attendants of our rooms. The care and attention was definitely noticed and stood out from any hotel that I’ve had the pleasure of fancying. Thank you for a great week!

Great view & service! Location: great and close to many restaurants/events downtown. Very safe and clean! Service: we had a corner view room for our 5 year anniversary and they gave us champagne and strawberries! Many of the staff gave us congratulations, and were just overall helpful. Duncan was very nice and gave us local recommendations and shuttled us to a restaurant nearby. There was another man in the morning time at the bell desk who was also super helpful with us getting the complementary bikes and returning them! We can’t wait to come back!

Raphael was incredible! I was having a really rough day with work and my grandmother was in the hospital, he greeted me and put a smile on me face. That customer service is superior. He is truly the best. The atmosphere is so modern and cozy, you feel so welcomed by every single employee. I was so stressed with work and decided to get the hot stone massage. WOW, I felt like a rockstar. Cassandra moved everything accordingly with my work schedule and Miguel was top notch. Truly an incredible experience. Every single time I stay here I feel at home and so welcomed. This place is so iconic and just beautiful. It makes me want to live here. Honestly the team here remembers you and treats you like family. It is my honor to stay in such a special place!

We booked more than a dozen rooms and encouraged our guests to stay as well for our daughters wedding at the Fairmont. It is centrally located and has great amenities. BUT, the one thing that truly shines and makes it exceptional is its gold lounge and manager Jesse Mower. Many hotels have a lounge that you can pay extra for and it’s a toss up as to whether it’s worth it… not the case here. Jesse personally made our weekend spectacular with his problem solving, attention to detail and willingness to go “above and beyond” for his guests. The lounge offers great food and drink options all day long and their staff is amazing. Worth every dollar. Thank you Jesse and the entire staff for making our daughters weekend even more memorable. We will see you again!⭐️⭐️

This is my favorite hotel in Austin. Mr. Khan helped me with my crazy room situation and went over and above to ensure that I had what I needed. It was a rather unfortunate room situation (no need to get into details, as they took really good care of me and I've NEVER had any issues here ever. It really was an odd maintenance fluke). They always take care of me here. Always. My friend dropped a bottle of wine on the floor and it shattered and spilled everywhere. We were so embarrassed, so they gave him a drink at the bar to calm his nerves since it was such a scene. He had a really bad day and just lost his phone too and was already dealing with that. And then I remembered one of the bartenders from last year when I was here.i asked for something fancy and he made me the most beautiful, delicious drink that wasn't even on the menu. His name is Kevin. He's amazing. Love this place. 💜

Had a nice stay here. The room was very clean and nice. My only complaint was the lack of electrical outlets in the room. I'm guessing this is an older hotel that has been updated because there were simply not enough electrical outlets. There is a desk but nowhere to plug in your laptop, so that was disappointing. A lamp to plug in my laptop. If they fix that problem, I think this is an excellent hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. There was actually live entertainment in the lobby area I was there on a Sunday evening into monday. Very very centrally located you can walk to so many different restaurants and attractions from the hotel. The View was wonderful from my room. I also utilized the FedEx Office and printed information that I needed for my business trip that was absolutely convenient to be able to have that right in the hotel.

I have enjoyed this hotel over the years. Today's check-in experience at the front desk was my worst. I thought the 2 ladies were dismissive and unprofessional which made me feel like they didn't value me as a guest. A complete lack of patience, and empathy even after they acknowledged their mistake. The staff had no interest in addressing my inconvenience and when they did, it was done in a dismissive and condescending manner. It felt like they were doing me a favor and not providing me with the service I deserved as a paying customer. The manager on duty was even worse. When I explained my issue, she seemed uninterested in helping me and dismissed me quickly. She did not even acknowledge my concerns about the service or empathize with my situation. She seemed to think that my complaints did not matter or that I was a nuisance to her establishment. I really felt devalued, ignored, and dismissed, which led me to question the quality of the service provided by this hotel. The staff and the manager need to improve their interpersonal skills and respect to all guests, regardless of their background or status including minorities and black men. I will not be returning to this hotel, and I advise other customers to seek out establishments where they are treated better. **To be fair, l should also mention that after they ruined my weekend stay, they reached out and offered a free room upgrade on my next booking.

What a FANTASTIC experience! This hotel was absolutely beautiful and everyone there was wonderful. Our family had the opportunity to have the Gold Experience. We were treated like royalty and our kids had a blast! I want to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff that made our experience even more unforgettable: Sarah, Fernanda, Hakan and Berk! We hope to see you again!

I was very excited to stay here for the night during acl weekend, however I happen to have left $1400 worth of jewelry in the bathroom before checking out. I immediately called the hotel the same day within 5 hours once I realized I had left my rings in the bathroom in one of the GOLD rooms I stayed in. They told me no one has turned in any jewelry and to call again the next day. I know places as nice as this one keeps a log of all the people in and out of each room. I would be very cautious if you are bringing anything nice. I do realize part of it is on me for having forgotten about my rings in the bathroom but I’m 100 % certain I left them their as I wear this jewelry religiously. My last resort will be to file a police report for the missing jewelry.

Stayed here for a work trip. This is a great place. They had a wonderful coffee shop for sandwiches and lots of other items. Plenty of restaurants and was in walking distance to so many things. Including a Target and a Whole Foods. I like to get things like “water” office site of big hotels so I don’t spend $7-$9 per bottle. Lol. They had a great selection for room service and with the long days I had I made great use of it. A little pricey but super convenient and fast. Definitely give this place a try. My stay there was great and I would stay again in a heartbeat.

I attended a company conference at the Fairmont and it was an amazing experience. During the ice storm, the staff put together an unexpected extra dinner for 300 people! Every staff member I interacted with, from housekeeping to front desk to bartender, provided exceptional, friendly service. The rooms are beautiful and the conference areas are fantastic. Order room service for the best steak of your life. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful hotel with two bars/restaurant and room service. Attended for a corporate event and the spaces and service were great for a large group. Because we were here during an ice storm, many of the walkable stores/restaurants were closed so I can't comment too much on location in relation to good venues. Rooms were clean and comfortable with many in-room amenities

The hotel was incredible and we had a great stay. The views were stunning and the rooms were spacious and luxurious. There was a slight billing issue on their end, however Morgan, the front desk manager, did an excellent job explaining what happened and resolving the issue. Would definitely stay here again.

Such great service. They made things special for our wedding night and it was wonderful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The checkout was rather early at 11 am but easy to do. The elevators can take time with all the people using them, but not terrible. My one complaint was how audible the road noise was wasn't expecting that on the 20th floor. Also, we could hear people talking in the room next to ours.

Highly recommended. Professional and friendly staff. I ordered a mini fridge for my room and it was sent right away. Spacious rooms. The rooftop pool is gorgeous, well maintained and delicious frose! Excellent location for conference and walking around. Target and Whole Foods are nearby if needed. When I come back to Austin, I will stay here!

The stay was great. We went as a family of 4 the pool is more a lounge area definitely not for kids. The kids did enjoy the ping pong table and giant connect 4. The seating by the pool is fist come first serve. There are seating areas you have to pay. Parking is also an additional cost. The room and view were amazing. I recommend this place for all adults not so much family with kids under 14

Nice hotel and our stay was good. Minus one star because it took calling 3 times to be able to reach someone on the phone after we left. I recommend emailing them for faster communication. Other thing was when booking through my google search, it stated parking was free but it was actually $50 nightly for valet during a peak weekend. I would still return here for future visits and recommend it to others.

  • 5/5 Brian W. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotal.. Can get real busy at times so elevators can be a little slow from time to time just give yourself a few extra minutes when leaving room and everything will be fine. The room were great, pool amazing but pool also can get busy on the weekends so get up early and save a spot or you want have one. The restaurants are all great went to all of them and the main bar was also great good beer selection it just got super busy at night and lines to get a drink were long but who cares your in vacation. Overall it was a great hotel would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Service was top notch, over all very happy with the stay. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 mainly because of their sneaky parking fees. If you want to use their garage it’s $44(?) per day, or you can do full service valet for $52(?) per day. They should be more transparent about these charges prior to booking otherwise your only other choice is street parking far from the hotel.
