I love going to this park (Roy Guerrero). Its a beautiful park near the ACC Golf Course on Grove Blvd. I go to the park everyday to just bond with nature and enjoy the beauty of the park. The Colorado River runs along the back of the park. I feel like I'm not even in the city at this park

This is a really wonderful place with a little bit for everyone. Large playground, nature trails, lots of baseball fields and tons of wide open spaces to do whatever you would like.

I had a great time playing Roy G for the first time! Heard great things about the course and I was not disappointed at all. The teepads are all nice and good signs as well with big cut stones for benches at every single teepad. This is a monster of a course and requires big shots and tight shots of all directions. I wouldn't advise this course for beginners unless you don't mind throwing +40. *I went with a few local friends and there are a lot of homeless people on holes 16, 17, and 18, but it didn't make the course any less enjoyable. Hopefully the city can get that situation taken care of soon as that did cause there to be a lot of trash along those 3 holes.

One of the greenest public spaces in Austin, home to many species of plants and animals. A treat for those who love nature. It is wonderful green belts like these that make Austin one of the nicest cities.

This is a nice park with various softball and volleyball fields. It has plenty of parking space and it has good activity every day. There's always police/security presence and I'd recommend it for families and groups of friends.

This place used to be kind of nice, there's so much trash here now it's crazy. And people are driving down the bike trails and parking their cars in the woods like its a parking lot, it's shameful. I don't understand how the parks and wildlife department and police can't keep this under control

I love the new layout! Lots of shade for these hot 🔥 days. Good sized tee boxes! Great big ol field to get some good drives in before hitting the course. We even saw a few young bucks out there in the middle of the day. Very peaceful.

First time visiting Roy G. Since the disc golf corse was remodeled and it has good flow, still keeping large holes from the original corse, but unfortunately loosing the great view over the lake, but have herd a second smaller corse is in the works that may reincorperate the look out hole

A beautiful sunny day and the field in one way circle, to your right was perfect for playing frisbee with my dog. This spot is clean, never busy.

Summary: White tail deer, plenty of parking, some great shade trees and a great playground Details: Located just off the Colorado River, this park has just about everything for the family putting from plenty of room and grass for frisbee or soccer to a playground with large shade trees for kids 2-10. It's a very neat park that us clean and appears to be safe.

Surprising gem in the midst of Austin. Not much shade. Main trail marked as closed, although we and others accessed it anyway - and then we got lost. Glad to have a phone with a map app or we'd still be wondering around. The Colorado River was very low and very slow as it moved along the edge of the park. Easy access to parking. Not crowded at all on a hot Friday in September 2023.

This place is my favorite disc golf course in Austin! The course is set in some beautiful forest area, with great scenery and a good amount of hole variety. Long holes, short holes, technical shots and wide open lanes, and some elevation changes as well, this course does a good job of making the course interesting and easily navigable! The BEST part, though: this is heavily wooded with ESTABLISHED trees! Old enough that the VAST majority of the course has good canopy cover from the sun, while still leaving wide open throwing lanes! This is the only course in Austin that offers this kind of shade without becoming a war with the trees! This is a popular course, so if you visit be ready for a crowd depending on the time/day.

When it is well groomed, this is the BEST place in Austin to play a challenging round of disc golf. Bring your fairway drivers...lotsa trees and technical shots.

I love this park. I take my dog here to play. It needs some work especially near the kids playground and the gazebo. The water fountain is really gross. Overall its pretty clean for as many people that go there to camp. If they could clean there trash would be great!

Went for a nature spitter hike with meetup group today. My first time at this park as an adult. Born and raised original Austinite seeing some old new to me places to hike in Austin. Found some developing dragon flys some poison ivy. We even seen a heron and some wild ducks.

Great park, the kids like to ride their scooter here, it's very big and gated, it's really never crowded either, great place to teach the teenagers how to drive.

Great park! Awesome playground with a fence around the whole thing and locking gates. Water fountains, picnic areas, bathrooms, hike and bike trails. It's pet friendly as well!

We have our reasons for liking it,, mostly an old tree with a cactus growing in it that we must visit!!! It's quiet, it's shady, and there are deer. Go get some nature already.

I love every time I come here. The only thing I see is just trash doesn’t get picked up often, however everyone that goes there’s picks up their trash. I love it! I just took both my dogs and my family :)

This park has so much potential. Wish there was more upkeep, clearing of some thick brush and bridges and water crossings to be repaired. Enjoyed the secret beaches, would love to come back just to hang out with a group of friends on the river. Beware of walking alone, lots of encampments, did not feel safe at times

My favorite playground in Montopolis area! Pretty safe for kiddos, the doors are locked all time and they're open just for adults or big kids.

This is a great place! We come here weekly to the secret beach, lots of people ride bikes here, the playground is fun for kids and there's an activities building or sports complex also.
