DO NOT. STAY HERE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. that’s the review if you don’t have time to read. If you do, let me explain why. My friends and I came in at 4:30 pm (check in is at 3 pm) we had booked a month in advance. No one greeted us. On the contrary, the woman was on her phone. Once she paid attention to incoming guests, she said our room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. I asked to speak to the general manager in and in a calm down asked if we would be charged the full price (the room wouldn’t be ready until about 6 pm check in is at 3) and in a loud tone, so the guests could hear, said no because it was only an hour and that’s not his problem (which it is, he’s the manager) I told him that was terrible hospitality told him we were from out of town and booked a month in advance. He said “too bad that’s not my problem I’m going to go ahead and cancel” in a loud tone, creating unnecessary drama. I was calm and my tone was enough for only him to hear me. I wasn’t rude. I was shocked by the lack of care he has. His name is Angel Flores. I asked for someone above him and he said there is no one. Save your time. This place is unprofessional, dirty, rude, crass, ghetto, and there is no such thing as hospitality. Save yourself a lot of time and e every. This place is disgusting and the management does not exist.

Horrible experience. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. My room was never cleaned throughout the whole stay. I had to call reception for towels everyday. I did not have shampoo, conditioner or soap. I had to go and buy. Also, the night before checkout i found a dead cockroach near the fridge. I told the front desk but they couldnt do anything. Horrible service and horrible hotel. I would never stay in it again and don’t recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

I didn't get a chance to use the pool. We had a great time. The room was nice and clean. They also have a restaurant conveniently located next door. The food was okay. Not too far from Downtown.

Don't stay in this place! The manager is rude and unprofessional I felt discriminated. We stay there for business it was supposed to be 1 day but my boss asked us to stay there longer he said he paid the extra nights but the manager got to my room saying without introducing himself and very rude you need to pay or leave I'll give you 10 minutes I said okay let me call my boss he said he paid. I called my boss he said go ahead and pay again he was busy and didn't had the time to get this resolved but he was going to ask for refund afterwards. I went to the front desk and asked to talk to him I told him he was rude and he didn't had to talk to me like that we had money I felt he saw construction workers and thought we were trying to stay for free or something he said no you are not paying you have to check out you are not staying here. I asked to talk to the supervisor and he said I'm the manager im above every one here and told me to leave. Let me just point out that it was cold, raining and I'm pregnant he didn't care. Never coming back here I will make sure everyone I know don't ever make the mistake of staying in this place.

Booked a 3 night stay through Booking.com and 2 days after arriving back home we were charged an extra $168 more than agreed upon amount. Of course the girl at the front desk who seemed bothered that I needed to checkout, did not provide any documentation. Just a " You're good". Several messages to Ramada went up answered. Would not recommend as we still have no explanation of overcharge and are still in process of disputing it 6 weeks later.

We were offered a free trip to Austin TX. We stayed at Ramada Inn. Which would not have been my first choice. But overall it was good. The people were very nice. The restaurant next to the hotel was Awesome. The pool area was quite busy every day but we always found a table to enjoy happy hour.

If I could give less than one star I would. I was assigned a room for October 1-3 2023 from a reservation I made back in august 2023. When I entered the room 215 I smelled one of the worst damp mildew smells I’ve ever smelled In my life. The sheets were damp, the carpet was wet. I went down to the front desk and asked for a new room. They changed my room to 217. I smelled the same exact smell and was absolutely disgusted and scared for my health. The next day rolled around and I left the hotel to get lunch. I came back to my room with a maintenance person standing near the air conditioner with it half taken apart. He could not speak English and kept saying one and two word statements like “leave” and “get new room”. I went down to the front desk and asked west was up and they moved my hotel rooms Again!!!! The next hotel room 104 was just as bad as all the others. This room has laminate flooring instead of carpet and the laminate was swollen and coming up in several places. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy let alone a friend. All of these reviews EXCEPT for the 1 and 2 star reviews are completely fake on this hotels page. This should be a crime to deceive people like this.

Management extremely unprofessional. I honestly would not recommend anyone stay at this place. Not to mention that the beds are incredibly uncomfortable also the bedding was very itchy, I started to look more closely and there were small bugs on the sheets. This was by far the absolute worst experience during ANY TRIP that I have ever been on.

The room was great. Clean, well laid out, and smelled nice. The location was also really nice for what we were doing around the area. The cleaning staff was terrible. Not only did they knock two hours before check-out time but they just ignored the do but disturb sign on the door. They also had their children with them running up and down the halls all three days. On the second morning of our stay one of the kids was leaning on our door frame listening to something really loudly on a tablet. Our stay was only $508, and some change, for three nights, but they charged me $1100 the next morning. Yes, we left some towels on the floor and trash in the can. But we didn't trash the room or smoke in the room, as we're not smokers. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nothing wrong with the place. Beds were super comfy. But I was ready to leave after my 2 night stay. There is a inescapable musty smell to the hotel that I seemed to notice more as time went on. But for $100 or less a night, it fit my needs and budget.

The bathroom tub could be cleaner. Accesiblity is a problem for those with mobility issues. The handicap parking is NOT in front of the hotel, it is by the restaurant which is beside/adjacent to the hotel. It is not close to the hotel. It is also not marked with the handicap poles so you may not find it. Parking is not accessible. The two front hotel doors are not automatic so may present an issue for some. The rest of the room was okay.

Horrible hotel. I’m having upper respiratory distress due to the moldy AC unit in the room. I asked to be switched to a different room. The AC was equally as moldy. I recommend you stay anywhere but here. The health department needs to shut this dump down.

Nice renovation and clean. Very loud you can hear outside noise & car alarms. Overall great location and hideaway next door is nice!

Hotel room was absolutely disgusting, was there long enough to bring luggage in and carry it right back out to the car. Cigarette butts in the interior hallways. Our room had soaking wet carpet. The bedding was wet, including the pillows. Two of the pillows fell off the bed and when we picked them up, they were black from whatever was wet on the carpet. There was tissue and trash in the bathroom trash can upon check in, and black spots all over the ceiling and walls - appears to be mold. Hotel agreed to issue refund 3 weeks ago and still has not made good on it. Manager doesn't respond. If the room were free, I'd still choose to sleep in my car.

Hidden in plain sight is a great way to describe this hotel. Rooms were super quiet and comfortable and each has a patio/balcony door that actually opens! Whomever is in charge here runs a tight ship and it shows. Staff is awesome and friendly. Great alternative to the high dollar Marriott's flanking both sides of it and a step above the bargain properties close by. You won't regret a night (or a week) here for sure!

Booked the hotel for the wrong date and called literally within a couple hours to cancel my Booking. Management was not willing to work with me to refund me. I won't be in the town on those dates and I'm literally out $106 for a little mistake. Stay away from corporate hellholes like this, stay in smaller hotels that are willing to work with you.

HORRIBLE STAFF, some dude came to our room with an attitude yelling and making hideous faces at a child to complain about some cheap-low quality sheets instead of taking issue up with parent. No wonder this is a two star hotel. Definitely not kid friendly, staff seems to hate kids. As far as housekeeping goes they were polite

Came to Austin for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. I booked the room because the pictures online sold me. I didn't get the room I thought we would get but overall this place is a great establishment. Price was very reasonable. Location is close to everything. We had a balcony view. Bathroom looked nice. They even have name brand toiletries lol. We will come back.

Gorgeous stay at this hotel. I’m on a cross country road trip and have been staying in numerous hotels from CT all the way to TX. I’m pleased to be able to say this was one of the best I’ve stayed in (since I’m staying at 1-2 star hotels, you never know). This hotel allowed me to buy a room and check in at 2am, was kind and attentive, had a beautiful, clean and well conditioned room ready for me. The bed is incredibly comfortable, I didn’t want to leave! Thankfully check out was 12. Their pool was pretty too, looked very clean. Grateful for the stay, thank you so much!

Alfredo welcomed us with a warm smile. Funny guy, i must say it made a good impact in my stay because of the conversation we had. The pool is nice too, there's different levels ranging from 3ft-9ft. The only downside was the humidity in the room. Other than that, it's a nice place to stay, i liked the cleaningness from it. The place next to the hotel has breakfast and cocktails in case you want to check it out, I recommend the poppy seed waffle and fried chicken😋

We stayed one night here at the Ramada South Austin based on reviews compared to other nearby hotels that go for about the same price (~$200 with 4.1/5 on Expedia with over 1000 reviews). Our room smelled damp, there was a cricket in the bathroom and there were makeup stains on the towels. When we got in at night we walked right in the front doors without any security measures and got right in the elevator. There was a person passed out asleep in one of the chairs at the end of the hall. The next morning we found a roach in the bathroom. We immediately left and I went to speak with the front desk. Cynthia said that it’s the “first time” she’s ever heard of a roach in the hotel (no chance) and asked if I called the front desk about the person in the hall because “we ask our guests to let us know about the homeless problem.” They certainly do not ask for their guests to be their own security and they definitely don’t mention an issue with uninvited guests on the property. I asked to speak with the manager and she said he was in his office but I could send him an email and gave me his card. I tried to call with no answer. I will certainly be sending an email. This hotel charges almost $200 a night for very poor service (customer and actual hotel services). It’s obvious that the hotel has been renovated but don’t let the pictures fool you. Still not sure how this place has so many good reviews as it does. I would not recommend staying here and I literally never leave reviews.

The hotel has been renovated on the inside and for such a cheap/reasonable price I love staying there... very good location being just south of downtown Austin. They have a gas station on one side of the hotel which is convenient. There is also a restaurant on property (actually connected to the hotel) is a very good restaurant offering a delicious breakfast at "the hide away restaurant" and decent drinks w/ many dinner options. I love the convenience!

The room was fine but not very clean. Pillows looked like the pillowcases weren't changed out, the couch had a stain, desk area and night stand was not thoroughly cleaned, no cable TV (PlutoTV), linens were clean, sidewalks and entrance needs a major powerwashing! Didn't feel very safe, and didn't feel like my car was safe. Won't stay here again.

The check in process was painful. The front desk person made an error on the prior person's charges and spent 30 minutes working on trying to fix it before they got me checked in and gave me my keys. The refrigerator in the room never got cold, and the shower never got hot as well as the shower head didn't have a very strong spray. We even checked out early and the staff didn't seem concerned at all. We probably won't stay here again.

Mediocre, at best. There was a very chemical/odd smell on the 3rd floor. The room was ok, nothing special, the bed was very hard. My biggest complaint is the front desk. While the woman checking us in was nice, she took a photocopy of my driver's license and then left it face up on the desk. Not cool at all. First, she couldn't tell us why she was making a copy, and second, she should place it face down so others cannot see it and steal one's identity. I'd like to know why you make a copy and what happens to it after it's copied? Does it get shredded when I check out (I hope and pray)? Why can't the front desk clerk clearly explain why you do that? All in all, I'd pass on this hotel. There are so many other hotels in Austin that are nicer for about the same price, and don't engage in suspicious behavior.
