We
were
passing
through
the
Lake
Memphramagog
area
and
decided
to
take
a
side
trip
to
visit
the
Abbey.
It
is
nestled
in
the
woods
about
20
minutes
south
of
Magog
on
the
west
side
of
the
lake.
There
is
a
large
Church
to
visit
(which
is
nice
but
not
spectacular
designed
in
a
late
20th
century
style)
and
surround
business
operations
that
make
cheese,
apple
products
and
cider.
There
is
a
self
guided
audio
tour
($9
for
tour)
which
takes
about
20-30
minutes.
Best
of
a
all
is
the
underground
shop
that
offers
a
number
of
products
produced
by
the
Abbey
from
cheeses,
to
ciders,
to
apple
sauce,
and
the
like.
On
the
grounds
is
a
very
small
chapel
build
by
hand
by
the
monks
in
the
1940's
as
well
as
hiking
and
picnic
grounds.
Overall
it
was
a
nice
place
to
visit
and
spend
some
quiet
time
on
a
nice
day...please
the
shop
was
a
bonus.
Enjoy!
NOTE:
There
is
a
Gregorian
Chant
concert
which
we
did
not
attend
but
did
occur
while
we
were
visiting.
It
appeared
popular...check
the
website
for
details.
