The food is very good at Rusty Putter but I was surprised to see an automatic 20 percent gratuity added to my lunch bill. I was only dining by myself. Together with the always high Florida dining tax - this inflates the overall bill unnecessarily. I didn’t see any notice posted that all bills get a 20 percent trip. I find that to be presumptuous on the part of the restaurant- as it doesn’t give me the chance to give the tip that I think is rightfully deserved. If the Rusty Putter needs the extra 5 percent (most people give 15 percent I believe) they should just raise the prices by 5 percent and allow everyone to give their own tips.

Update: new chef has brought fresh ingredients and Asian selections to the menu! Best Crab Cakes and Fried Fish Friday was yummy! They still have a few issues with being understaffed, but if you are there to chat or relax after golf or tennis, slow service not a big deal. Food good, but service poor...not enough staff for a Sunday brunch time? IDK...waitress very friendly but forgetful about drink orders and took long to get my soup.. she brought it within a minute of our food entrees...took forever for her to bring bill and charge us out...

Food was good, service ok. A 20% auto gratuity added to bill for 2 people dining? Did not care for that. Should be listed on menu if your auto adding gratuity.

Food was good. Prices ok. Don't like them adding the tip on the bill. That's an amount I put on based on My satisfaction of experience

Below average experience here. Limited dinner menu and service that left much to be desired. Charged me for extra drinks that I never had. Don't wasted your time ( or money) at this place.

The pretzel is gigantic. The four of us shared it. The Nachos were so good. All of the toppings were extremely fresh. I highly recommend.

What a great experience. I loved the service. Their prices are great and food delicious. My pastrami sandwich was excellent. The bread was so tasty and toasted to perfection. The view was great!!!

The food was surprisingly good for a clubhouse dining room at a golf course. I was staying at a condo nearby and just stopped in because I didn’t want to leave the area. By all means is definitely worth having.

This is a wonderful spot in Ave Maria, FL Great staff that wants you to be happy in your dinning experience. The view of the golf course is great at breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Make sure to let your waiter know if you live in the local community. The Bloody Mary and Mimosa were a great treat while on vacation in sunny Florida

Not a dog friendly place. We sat down and then they asked us if our dogs are service dogs we said no and we were told we could not stay with our dogs. So we asked to sit outside and were told that we couldn't. We have been in here before with our dogs with no problem, very sad to hear that not even the outside was permitted and we were a group of 7.

Excellent hidden gem in Ave Maria, fresh soup and salad buffet, overlooking lake and golf course, if you're looking for a quick lunch while shopping for a home, look no further.

Every time I come or food takes over an hour even when we’re the only people there. I’ve came many times due to lack of other options and it doesn’t improve. We ordered an appetizer and it never came. The waitress doesn’t come back for refills. Many things on the menu were not available either.

I've been several times. They had a rocky start but now the food and service is excellent. Recently had the turkey brie sandwich; it was very good. The views of the golf course and outdoor seating are also nice.

Had a fabulous lunch while visiting Ave Maria. Nancy made great Bloody Mary’s & was very attentive. Our food was delicious & the service was timely. We definitely will be back!

Burger and fries were good. Most of the staff was good others not very knowledgeable about the restaurant or golf course. Screen doors slamming the entire visit was terrible so maybe if they hire a manager they can fix them.
