This was a relaxing, delightful experience. Our guide shared all the information with us in a humorous manner. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We were approached to take the boat trip starting near the Melia Ria Hotel. We were told the boat would be there in 10-15 min, but finally it took more than 1h for us to get on a boat. Several boats would come, turn around and go without stopping. The problem is that this location is not the main starting point for the boat trips, and the boats are full when they get to this part of the journey. Better to walk 12 min by the river side to get to the main location in the city center.

I payed 25 Euros for a “great experience of the town” and it didn’t live up to its expectations. I saw the walls of the canal and McDonald’s that’s it and we had to cut the ride by 20 minutes because the engine flooded, we waited for 10 minutes until he had to get help. Don’t waste you money on this.

Viva Ria is one of boat tour agency near Aveiro river. They easily to be recognized with their red color. I was there just for walking and enjoy the view or weather. They are one of the busiest agency for the boat tour when I was there. When you are talking about worth or not, it depends on your budget. They offer 45 minutes of boat tour €13 for adults and €6 for kids. The price is normal and same like others. There will a staff whom will explain you about the city during your tour. Actually, there is not much to see in the water. You can do by walking. If you want to have different experience, taking the boat tour can be good for you.

Awful rainy day and the company still sell tickets for the 45 min boat tour. The tour was less than 30 mins and we spent half of the time under a bridge to shelter from rain. Bad experience. No recommended. Tou will be better off walking around time

Beautiful River cruise, highly recommend

This was the most disappointing part of our Portugal trip this far. Our pleasure cruise became a commuter taxi that made 2 stops to pick up people. The vessel became overloaded with people in 30 Celsius heat. And at every stop you could hear the crew arguing with the inland staff. The operator Martimo Turistico could only offer we are sorry for the inconvenience. My suggestion to the tour operators is to get rid of trying to sell photos of people(like a cruise ship) and maybe offer(sell) guests water. For $13 Euro’s I recommend to forget taking this tour and enjoy the sites and food of Aveiro.

Do not hesitate to have this experience. It’s fantastic! I would recommend onboard this beautiful boat and enjoy the beautiful Aveiro. Imperdível! Passeio espetacular!
