My wife and I were staying at a hotel down the street and we went into Martin's Bar for an after dinner drink. The place was deserted except for 3 people standing at the bar. When the bartender came around to take our order my wife asked if he could make a Cosmopolitan for her, he just shrugged. She then asked for another more mainstream drink (I forget which) and same reaction. Our experience was that most other bars near hotels at least offer to try to make the drink you want if you tell them what's in it... well, not at Martin's. Seems like the customer service there is centered around putting in as little effort as possible. So we settle for a gin & tonic for me and a Baileys for my wife. These two drinks were the most expensive we had in Aveiro. Basically, the bartender (maybe owner) overcharged us for the drinks. Incidentally, the G&T was easily the worst I've consumed in the last 25 years or so. If you are thinking of having a drink at Martin's keep walking. Zero customer service skills and a high likelihood of getting ripped off.
