Food is great. Busy place so it's probably best to get a reservation. Good environment for a lunch that might take you well into the afternoon.

I came here and i tried francesinhas and they were so tasty and well put together. The place feels as if it is more a place to hangout but was still perfect to enjoy our lunch. Has a good variety of dishes, but all more "quick" dishes than more elaborate dishes. The service was very good and quick. Id recomend going there

Local friends have been talking about eating "little French girls" and so I had to try it when I came over to visit. Got brought here for dinner on the first night and it did not disappoint. The francesinhas were fantastic, just the thing you want to eat after several hours of travelling! If you don't have a local with you to tell you this, let me be the one to guide you - definitely let the fries soak in the sauce for a bit, it's a game changer!

Francesinhas top!!! 🔝💯 Recommendation is to book the table in advance, otherwise you can stay without an opportunity to try it :) And leave some time for siesta right after! Location 100% Taste 100% Price average Personal 100% Atmosphere 100%

We just arrived in Aveiro. We came across this restaurant that specializes in Francesinhas. Both myself and my partner were able to enjoy this Portugal cuisine. This was the best Francesinhas I had in Portugal. Don't forget to bring your appetite.

First of all, the francesinha at Alicarius is as good as any in Porto. Top quality ingredients, nice portion and comes out of the kitchen piping hot. The fries are delicious and the sauce is the best I’ve ever had. But the service is what sets them apart. Everyone is super friendly and helpful in a casual way. You can tell that they take immense pride in their restaurant and the experience that their guests have. I can’t wait to come back.

Certainly the best place in town (Aveiro) for "Francesinha". Staff are amazing, the food the same. Ask for the Original one 😉.

Best franchesinha we had in Portugal yet. Prices are fair and service is very good. Interior acoustics is bad so might get very noisy in busy times.

Quick and friendly service in English. Great beer and food with good prices. Not too touristy, so was very nice. Would definitely reccomend for trying a Francesinha.

A fine place for francesinha and beer. Try the house's craft beer if you like it light. Can be a bit noisy.

Cool little spot serving traditional sandwiches. Friendly staff and modern environment. Sorta gastropubby but focused on Portuguese smothered grub.

The staff is great. The service was fast although FC Porto was playing at the time. The food was well cooked. The meat was tender which is very important francesinha besides the sauce which was also great. So far this was the absolute best francesinha I have eaten in Aveiro. Will return soon. Not sure when since I still have my belly full.
