My boyfriend and I were very excited to get away to relax for the weekend. I have been reserving hot tubs at this location over the last 7 years when ever I was in town. We enjoyed our hot tub and our room. We were awoken by our neighbors at 3am. They were extremely loud and filling up their tub on their balcony at this time(not allowed after 11pm). We had contacted the front desk at 3:30am to report the noise. They stated they would have someone come out. We were awake until about 4:15am(due to the noise) and no one was sent. We were able to fall asleep until we were awoken again at 5:00am from our headboard moving due to our neighbors activities. We were in contact with the manager and all they offered was an apology. We expected to have a relaxing nights stay and great sleep with the money we spent on this room. We understand the hotel cannot control what their guests due but they were breaking hotel rules and nothing was done. Walls are thin and rooms are smaller than average. If you are interested in their hot tubs, I recommend staying at another hotel and reserving a hot tub.

I have visited this resort 3 times and plan to go back time and time again! Every room has a private hot tub and the property is heavenly! The service and their freshly grown vegetables are amazing! Being a wine lover, I enjoy their Secret Garden that's surrounded by flowers and offers wine, desserts, cheese.... and fun outdoor games. Perfect for a girls trip or romantic getaway. You can also bike ride to Avila Beach on a private path from the resort that is breathtaking! I can't wait to go back!

Sycamore is a very nice place to stay. The Bob Jones trail is a must do. The restaurant on site is also a must-visit, their food is great too! Reserving an outdoor hot tub is a must. Very relaxing. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay, and gorgeous property. Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Our only concern was that our spa was completely out in the open and the guests above us kept looking out their window down into our spa area. Unfortunately this made us a little uncomfortable and not able to relax as much as we had hoped.

We went to the hot springs for a quick anniversary trip/ gift to ourselves. It was a very nice experience and we left feeling refreshed. (Pro tip: you can bring food with you to your private tub and having a portable speaker is great if you're not into quiet/ nature sounds)

I had a wonderful time at your hotel. Choosing the room at the top of the hill with the hot tub privately settle among the trees was amazing. Worth the splurge to have a living room , two bathrooms and our own parking. This was a very enjoyable experience.

We love Sycamore! Fantastic location, hidden amongst the oak trees but so close to the coast. The Gardens of Avila restaurant is fantastic and there is so much to do in the resort and nearby as well. The hot tubs, pool, and spa are wonderful, and we love the access to the Bob Jones trail. We just went with our 15mo old son and he loved it as much as we did. Looking forward to our next visit!

Staff was really good as was the restaurant. The room was a little dated but comfortable. I went there for the private, hot tub experience, and the beautiful view from the tub… We saw a deer very close to us. The tub was also a little dated but still a great experience. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Thank you.

Went for the hot tubs. Was pretty cool. Lots of chlorine, but not complaining. Who knows what happens in them. Reservations are good idea and changing stalls have no doors.

The healing properties of the mineral water are incredible. I had knee surgery about 3 weeks prior to our stay and it helped a lot in the healing process. The rooms are extremely comfortable. There is a lot to do within a 20 minute drive from the hotel.

This place is like an awkward summer camp. Not anything close to a resort! Overpriced by 1000% literally almost a $1000 a night to stay in a throwback 90s room that has plastic lamps. The hot tub was such a let down. Just a regular hot tub you can sit in anywhere with mineral water. But be advised if you don’t shell out a ton of money for a suite then you’ll be stuck renting a hot tub that is a mixture of mineral water and chlorine which defeats the purpose of bathing in mineral water. Staff was nice but seemed like they were under a trance telling us that “this place is paradise” and that “people come back very often”. This is not my idea of paradise and we will never be going back.

We had the most amazing time here, the staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay incredible. The room we were in had a self fill jacuzzi which we prefer, and the dining room was both romantic and the food was delicious. We both had steaks cooked to perfection. I never have done this before, but the staff was so incredible that we actually wrote down names of those that really stood out! Shout outs to Jules, Pedro, Stephan, Katie, Kayla, Heather, but especially to Justin, (who checked us in), James,( our Bellman), and Tyler( our waiter Supreme)

Sycamore is a great place to stay with plenty to do if you are an outdoorsy person. The bob Jones trail head is here, the top overlooks avila beach and the ocean. The secret garden is a fun place to hang out during the day, have a few drinks and play some corn hole. The restaurant on site is also a must-visit, their food is great and they use vegetables from their own garden. The place is dog friendly now too! This is the second time my wife and I have been here, our second being our anniversary trip. Highly recommend!

You will love this place. We stayed in the meadows room and I must say it was lovely. The room was spacious with privacy. Your private hot tub on the balcony with nature view was amazing. The beds we’re comfortable and the living room was cozy. The staff were top notch and knowledgeable with all the places to see on your visit. This is a must stay place.

It is always nice staying here but they are so close to perfect the little things that are off really stand out. The two most annoying were the extremely loud fan in the bathroom and the other is that our hot tub was glitching out (in the middle of the night it turned on!) I had to unplug it. The room is beautiful, again almost perfect, but then when you look up you see that they used black screws for the air vent.

The resort is beautiful & tranquil. The restaurant was good. The room was nice but in the room we got supposedly had a fireplace. The room did not have a fireplace. It had an “electric 3D TV screen” fireplace that gave off tiny bit of warmth at the bottom. However, my biggest issue is that ppl are paying huge “resort” prices, then, as a guest, I expect to be able to utilize everything the resort has to offer. We wanted to swim in the smaller pool w/the waterfall La but a family rented it out so we were not allowed to swim in it. That’s BS! We paid for the usage of the resort. Too high of a price for not being able to utilize everything! Won’t pay to stay there again. It’s way cheaper just to rent out the pool &/or a hot tub for an hour!

The grounds are beautiful! The stairs are not difficult, but do test your lung capacity. We were given the one 3-flights up, but you can ask for a lower one. Wonderful experience in the hot tubs. There were bubbles. The steam didn't burn our eyes so we could handle being in the water for our full hour. Very enjoyable!

Incredible Hotspring, spa. You first walk into this amazing store with beautiful, handmade trinkets. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The baths are very private secluded, I recommend something high on the hill, so you can have a view. I typically go in the late evening, but this last time we went earlier, and able to take full advantage of the views. I highly recommend going at sunset for a wonderful, relaxing and romantic evening.

The room we got Rm 502 Harmony building was a complete disaster. There is a small heater on the wall the had a broken knob so we were unable to turn it off, just kept running every 5-10 minutes (we got maintenance the next morning and they turned it off thankfully but still sucked, almost no closet due to the wine fridge in the way, no full length mirror for my wife to get ready with, there is a band-aid covering a light on the smoke detector probably due to lack of you putting a new battery in it, the drywall in the shower near the shower head is broken up and the shower its self is Tiny. no water pressure from the faucet it looked nothing like the website picture. it was a dungeon... My wife and I were less than impressed...

A beautiful hot spring spa resort near the beach. What more can I say? The staff was amazing and the service impeccable. The spa is a delightful experience for both men and women. The room I stayed in had a private hot tub that was well maintained and the room was nice. They also have very nice private hot tubs for up to like 8 people.
