What an incredible tree! Highly recommend stopping here and learning about its fascinating history. David, the custodian is full of knowledge and is a major asset to this important site. Entrance is R20 per person, please take cash. There are toilets, braai facilities and a tuck shop. David also sells some beautiful hand painted curios so take extra cash and show some support. We will definitely return!

Pleasantly surprised at the size of the tree. The tour guide, Dave, was very knowledgeable.

An interesting stop for family and friends, about 3.5km from the R71 near the Gravelotte turnoff. Entrance fee was R20 per adult. You can climb onto the tree via a ladder, and there is also an opening in the lower central part of the Baobab that was historically used as a cold storage area.

We don’t have baobabs I’m the USA, and I love these gentle giants. The Leydsdorp is one of the very best, with a cavity inside you can enter as well as a ladder you can climb to be near the crown. We appreciated the introduction to the tree by the kind man who accepted our modest fee.

👍👍 What an awesome sleepover. The Park supplies everything you need except food , utensils and firewood. We booked on what was going to be the coldest night of the year. We took some extra blankets and warm clothes. We were supplied with a bag for every bed with a pillow, pillowcase, fitted sheet, duve...
