Amazing 400 year old palace built by the Joumblat family and current residence of MP Walid Junblat and his family. The palace is one of the best in Lebanon and has similar architecture style as the nearby Beiteddine palace. Only a small section of the palace is open to the public as it is occupied. Highly recommended if visiting the area.

Amazing place and the actual house of MP Walid Jumblat. Ur greeted at the entrance with a smile and the guy takes u on a tour of the outside of the palace through the gardens. Too bad people are not allowed inside the a trial walls of the palace, still it's a sight to behold. U can see the great architecture all around u,great attention to detail with the windows, stairs and columns. The garden has some of the most majestic and old olive trees I've ever seen, the guide told us they're 300, 400 and 1000 years old and I quite believe him. Entrance is free of charge and they give u a nice booklet at the exit.

A Historic site holding between its walls decades and sentries of history and politics all wrapped in an architectural masterpiece. You can also find the newly constructed mosque near the palace. It is also a wonder to see

It's a nice visit to a very old palace. It's well preserved and of course still functional & used. There are very nice details, and items from different places & time spans and overall the place is nice for a visit. They were very hospitable on the tour.

A unique experience in this particular Palace. It was built by Jumblatt family in 18th century AD. A combination of beauty and history.

It is the place and power center of a powerful fuedal political Jumblat family. It is worth a visit for orientation if combined with a hike in the nearby scenic valleys

A unique experience in the private house of an old ruling class from Mount-Lebanon. Beautiful architecture, interesting history; and curious items in the Family's private library.

For history enthusiasts, the palace offers a rare opportunity to explore the ancestral home of the illustrious Lebanese political family, the Joumblatt. The on-site museum provided a fascinating insight into the family's legacy and the region's cultural heritage. As I reluctantly bid farewell to Moukhtara Palace, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for the memories I had created there. It's a place where the past and the present coexist harmoniously, leaving visitors with an experience that is both unforgettable and enriching. In conclusion, Moukhtara Palace is a timeless oasis where luxury, heritage, and hospitality converge. Whether you seek a cultural exploration, or simply a respite from the ordinary, this hidden treasure in Lebanon promises an extraordinary experience that will stay etched in your heart forever. I wholeheartedly recommend Moukhtara Palace to anyone seeking a unique and memorable escape.
