Awesome camp and an experience to remember for both the kids and the staff. As a guide myself I had a great time with my collegues and with the children. The day begins with lessons that are all about having fun and then there are afternoon and evening activities like campfire, fashion show and going to the lake. Every bit of this camp was exciting and inspired me to change my perspective on what teaching is all about: To have fun and make memories that move you to learn.

My experience with Fokus was brilliant, and I would recommend anyone who wants to get into teaching/ practice their CLIL based teaching skills to have a go. My team at Ammersee were absolutely brilliant, and I loved working with them. Whilst the vast majority of the camp was good, I do say that there has to be some improvements. Whilst it is understandable that these camps are intense, I think there is a fine line between being available for the campers compared to constantly being with them. Whilst you do get time off, the fact that there was confusion between when we were supposed to be with the kids and when we had time to lesson plan meant that we were lesson planning late at night. I think to improve as well, there has to be some kind of platform where all materials are, such as processes if anything happens, additional games for lessons as a backup/ plan B, and a guide for the day. I would also recommend getting the students permanent name tags as it is extremely hard to remember 70+ names within a couple of days!

Great experience! Outstanding English Camp for Kids. Kids learn a lot here, have amazing fun, and meet a lot of great friends. Camp guides are well trained and create a fun and safe environment for kids. I highly recommend this camp.

My experience here was absolutely amazing. I learned a lot as a camp guide and I met some really amazing people. It was my first time teaching in a camp but the leaders prepared me really well. It takes a lot of heart but it’s also very fulfilling. Definitely coming back 💙

Fokus Camps is one of the best camps I have ever worked at because of its beautiful location(Ammersee), interesting activities, and professional staff. Even though I don't live in Germany, thanks to the lovely kids and caring staff, I felt right at home.

I had my first experience this year as a guide for Fokus Camps and overall it has been a very positive experience. The core team are supportive and easy to talk to, and between them have a wealth of experience with kids and teaching which really shows in the training and in the leadership.

Ammersee is an incredible location. The lake is a 2-minute walk away – I went for a swim most mornings! Working here is a rewarding, fun experience, and I definitely want to come to work here again!

I worked at the ammersee fokus camp during the Easter break of 2022 and it was one of the most rewarding and fun experiences I ever had. Getting to work in such an idyllic location with awesome kids was a dream come true. When I was researching summer camps prior to working for fokus. It was really hard to find something that was inclusive and fun, while still having a high standard of English education. This camp is unique in that way. There is no other English camp that works in the same seamless way as fokus does. I really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it for students and guides alike!

Modern facilities and a bright, spacious environment. The food could be better but overall a satisfying work environment. Fokus Camps working here is a wonderful idea especially with the lake nearby!
