Skip it... the locals obviously do too. I liked the ambiance of mixing modern touches with traditional style, however, that's where the good experience ended.

The food was great and the service was impeccable. They didn’t have any English menus though which is tricky. Still worth it!

I’ve had a pleasure visiting this restaurant with my partner. We were after a traditional Bavarian meal and the setting felt just right. While the service was very helpful and the restaurant itself looked great, there was only one major problem = the food. It seems like the chef has watched too many episodes of Master Chef and has totally taken the wrong turn on what should be considered as tasty food. If you are up for a traditional food experience then avoid this place. Otherwise do expect to get a “veg and flower garden” on your plate. Nothing works together. To be fair one good dish was a traditional broth with sliced pancakes. The only one which was not over complicated.

Delicious cuisine in a very Bavarian setting. We have enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Gasthof Stern in December 2022 and recommend it to all visitors. Try their Wiener Schnitzel.

The place is nice and clean with an innovative kitchen. The dished are little busy, sometimes less is more. The drinks, especially the beer is overpriced. The service was a bit unattentive eventhough the place was not full. Neverteless it is a quite nice bavarian restaurant, but nothing for locals.

I had dinner here because I was staying at a nearby airbnb location (run by Veronika Fus - awesome!). My dinner was fantastic. I recommend the Hell Steak - turkey steak topped with a cranberry and horseradish mix and melted local cheese- yum! The waitress spoke English and was very helpful to me. Thanks for a great experience!

We are here twice while staying at an AirBNB in Unterammergau. Nice location with a laid back atmosphere. Everything we ate was good and generally large portions especially the pork shank!
