Lüneburg is a northern German town. Am Sande square is framed by red brick Gothic-style buildings in the historic old town. The German Salt Museum, housed in the ancient Lüneburg Saltworks, details the history and significance of salt mining, which was the basis of the city's medieval wealth. Many of the structures in the historic district sag as a result of centuries of mining. The surrounding natural reserve includes the Lüneburg Kalkberg, a limestone hill. The city of Ilmenau is located around 50 kilometers south-east of Hamburg on the outskirts of the Lüneburg Heath and is part of the Hamburg metropolitan region. Lüneburg lies approximately 15 kilometers south of the state borders with Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

For a small train station it's alright. But, it's filthy and seemingly never cleaned. There's also a pay toilet, but only one place at the station willing to accept the vouchers. Sanifair is a total rip off.

Small nice railway station on the way from the Hamburg to Hanover. In the hall there is a souvenir shop where you can buy post cards with city views. Old town is located very close - in 5 min of walking.

It's a small train station, but it has all the required facilities. If you're traveling with heavy luggage there's a lift at every platform to help you move around. To go out of the station you basically can take the lift at platform 1 and get out of the station directly without taking any stairs cause platform 1 opens up to parking lots. If you need to deposit your luggage, there's lockers on platform 1. Update 10th July 2021: the lifts seem to not working. Maybe due to Corona restrictions (I don't know).

Yes, so that I die, the application contains the fact that the SEV bus is going to Hitzaker, but the bus number was not specified. I asked several passers-by and two drivers, but no one knows anything. I have been to many parts of Germany, but there are absolutely no information monitors here. And it is not at all clear.

A small town near Hamburg. A very traditional german scenery that will maje you feel travelling back in time. The town has a museum which you can visit with a tour guide. Small passages in the city center lead you to different coffe shops and small beer halls. A must visit when you are in Hamburg. Only 30min away by train!

Great town to visit, very rich in history and old buildings. Salt mines run underneath the city, so the foundation of many buildings is off, which is interesting to see as you walk by. There is a museum for the salt mines, but we did not get a chance to visit. Earlier in the day is a fresh food market in the city center, and several good streets for good shopping and eating. There is also a hill you can walk up that give a good overhead view of everything.
